1.Structure of Calcined Bauxite Description

Bauxite (aluminous soil; Bauxite) is also called the alumina or bauxite, main ingredients are alumina, hydrated alumina containing impurities, is an earthy mineral. White or gray, brown and yellow or light red by iron.  From 4 to 3.9 g/cm3 density, hardness, 1 ~ 3 is not transparent, very brittle.  Very difficult to melt.  Insoluble in water,  soluble in sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide solution. Mainly used for aluminium, refractory material.

2.Main Features of the Calcined Bauxite

Calcined bauxite is one of the principal ore of aluminum. Calcined bauxite contains hydrous aluminum oxides and aluminum

hydroxides, formed through the laterization of aluminous rocks in tropical and subtropical areas .Calcined bauxite is obtained by calcining (heating)superior grade bauxite at high temperature (from 85OC to 1600C) .This removes moisture there. By increasing the alumina content, compared to an alumina content of about 57%to 58% in raw bauxite, calcined bauxite has an alumina content of 84%to88%.The heating is carried out in rotary kilns.

Q:Can polystyrene foam color steel plate be used as decorative fireproofing material ?
As far as I am concerned, polystyrene foam color steel plate cannot be used as decorative fireproofing material. Because polystyrene flame retardant and non-flame retardant of the points, from the fire retardant is generally self-extinguishing. Polystyrene is the polymer synthesized by styrene monomer through free radicals polycondensation reaction. It is a transparent thermoplastic plastic. With above 100 ℃ glass transfering temperature,it is often used to make a variety of disposable container and disposable foam lunch box which have to withstand the boiling water temperature.
Q:Can anyone tell me the requirements of the refractory masonry??
Refractory materials actually have two functions. The first one is to improve the refractoriness and the second one is to improve the body plasticity of refractory materials. The higher the aluminum content is, the better refractory it will be. Of course, the content of aluminum in refractory materials can not be impoved only by using kaolin. Such raw materials that contain more aluminum as bauxite chamotte should be used as framework. So the content of aluminum in kaolin does not need to be too high and more than 38% of aluminum is enough. However, the viscosity should be taken into account. It will be better if the viscosity is better as the extra bentonite do not need to be added. The refractoriness that is is above 1400 degree is enough.
Q:What is the concept of lightweight refractory material?
Lightweight refractory material has high porosity, mechanical strength and erosion resistance. Compared with normal refractory bricks, it is a kind of refractory material with large volume shrinkage in high temperature, low thermal conductivity and small bulk density. It is used as thermal insulation material in industrial furnace and other thermal equipments. It has poor wear resistancel.
Q:Does anyone know the refractory temperature of fire-resistant glass?
Ordinary glass will be completely liquefied in the furnace of about 1100 degrees for half an hour and will not deform below 600 degrees. toughened glass fire-resistant glass is the product of ordinary glass after being processed Glass will mainly burst after encountering fire. When unevenly heated or encountering sudden drastic changes in temperature, ordinary glass will burst if the sharp temperature difference is over 70-120 degrees and toughened glass will burst at 200 degrees. It is not yet clear of the bursting temperature for the refractory glass. If the overall glass is not heated evenly, it will have no significant change below 600 degrees, and it will deform with the increase of temperature until melting. The fire-resistant time of the glass you said is the time to heat the glass into the extreme temperature differences it can endure, which should not be more than 10 minutes
Q:how to divided the external wall thermal insulation materials fire rating
The external wall thermal insulation materials is divided by fire rating: 1. The thermal insulation material of level A combustion performance: inorganic fiber spray coating, glass wool, foam glass, foamed ceramics, rock wool, foam cement and hole-closed perlite, etc. 2. combustion performance is level B1 insulation materials: Extruded polystyrene board (XPS) after special treatment / Special treatment of polyurethane (PU), phenolic aldehyde and gelatine powder polyphenyl granule 3, combustion performance is level B2 insulation material: Molded polystyrene board (EPS), extruded polystyrene board (XPS), polyurethane (PU), polyethylene (PE), etc.
Q:how to classify the fireproofing material levels A1 A2 B1?
their classification is shown specifically in Fireproof  Specification of Building Interior Decoration Design GB 50222-95 appendix A, flammability, inflammability materials, flame retardency, noninflammability: combustion performance of A, B3, B2, B1 materials are divided into
Q:what should be paid sttention when buying the refractory?
First, look at the appearance of the product, it will be better if the surface of product is smooth, if there are the injuries and damages which may influence the use, do not use it. Second, the main characteristics of insulation material is flame resistance, reduce the loss of fire occurred at the time of purchase combustion performance testing products, non-combustible stone wool products are the best. Third, refractory insulation with good hygroscopicity is also very important, it can keep your room drying for a long time , played the role of moisture-proof, and more capillary, the hygroscopicity is better.
Q:What refractories are used in various parts of the blast furnace.
Blast furnace from top to bottom has the throat, hearth staves, waist, bosh, hearth and furnace bottom. the specific structure is as follows: The throat is the first to be affected by the impact and abrasion, generally use high-density alumina bricks. the upper and central portion of temperature furnace is only 400 ~ 800 ℃, the area with high alumina bricks and silicate bricks. The lower part of furnace is subject to erosion and dust erosion alkali metal vapor due to high temperatures, it is required in such case to use high quality clay brick,high alumina brick,carborundum brick,corundum brick that is slag resistance and alkali resistance, temperature resustant and wearproof. Furnace bosh temperature reached 1400 ~ 1600 ℃, serverly eroded by slag,vapor, flush. so we use carborundum brick and reaction-bonded silicon carbide brick. Bosh temperature reaching1600 ~ 1650 ℃, using alumina brick, corundum brick or silicon carbide brick. the temperature of Hearth near the upper portion of the outlet zone at 1700 ~ 2000 ℃, use of silicate bricks and corundum castable graphite filler, silicon carbide bricks. In 1450 Silly twitch bottom temperature sealing die of hunger slander bet phoenix astringent preserved Grade ~ 1500 ℃, use of graphite bricks and microporous carbon bricks, now use more corundum brick, corundum mullite brick and synthetic mullite brick. x26lt;P class x3d "share-btn"x26gt;
Q:What are the types of advanced refractory?
it can be divided into two categories of general and special refractories ordinary refractories by chemical properties into acidic, neutral and alkaline. Special refractory composition divided by high temperature oxide, refractory compounds and high-temperature composite materials Furthermore, according to refractoriness can be divided into ordinary refractory products (1580 ~ 1770 ℃), advanced refractory products (1770 ~ 2000 ℃) and grade refractory products (2000 ℃ above). the article can be divided into blocks (standard bricks, shaped bricks, etc. ), special shape (crucible, sagger, pipe, etc.), fibrous (aluminosilicate, zirconia and boron quality, etc.) and a random shape (refractory clay, pouring materials and ramming mixes, etc.) according to the sintering process it can be divided into sintered products, cast products, melt blown products.
Q:What is the the best matching ratio of refractory cement?
The ratio of cement and sand is about 30 per cent. Properties and Applications of refractory mortar: 1, Good plasticity and easy construction; 2, High bonding strength and strong corrosion resistance; 3, Relatively high refractoriness up to 1650 ℃ ± 50 ℃; 4, Good slag corrosion resistance; 5, Good thermal peeling. Refractory mortar is mainly used in coke ovens, glass furnaces, hot blast furnace and other industrial furnaces. Applied industry: Metallurgy, building materials, machinery, petrochemicals, glass, boiler, electric power, steel, cement, etc. And refractory cement is also known as aluminate cement. Aluminate cement takes bauxite and limestone as raw materials, alumina content of about 50% as the clinker. And it is a hydraulic cementing material made by grinding. Refractory cement is also known as aluminate cement. Aluminate cement is often yellow or brown or gray. The main mineral of aluminate cement is mono calcium aluminate (CaO · Al2O3, abbreviated CA) and other aluminates, and a small amount of dicalcium silicate (2CaO · SiO2), etc. It is a special cement.
