Q:i want to build a night club but want to keep the building costs low what material could i place inbetween the plaster board and the brick walls? hmmmm had a thought you guys tell me if you think this will work ... say i had plasterboard then a 1-2 inch gap of air then corrugated pvc sheet type roofing so they reflect the sound waves away from the wall and then normal loft type insulation on the back of that im also going to angle the walls downwars slightly should also make the room look cooler if done right any other ideas would be grately appreciated :)
I've heard that cork board is a great sound barrier and blocks out or in sounds. I've heard that it will absorb the sound.
Q:Is plasterboard another name for drywall?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Is plasterboard another name for drywall?
Q:On further inspection it is more like cardboard than plasterboard. Horrible!
re-tile, maybe? pull loose tiles off, see as to what extent the sheetrock or backer board is damaged. Then replace that part and install tile back over. No! silicone is not your answer.
Q:Firewall with gypsum board okay
Can see how many hours of fire protection level you ask, gypsum board can reach 4 hours of fire rating, double 3 layer 15 thick gypsum board, 100mm keel, filled with high capacity rock wool, can be achieved
Q:I have bought a new house and have noticed that the plaster walls have been plainted with water based paint without being sealed. I would now like to repaint and change the colour, how is the best way to do this? Should I apply a sealer over it, or just give it a couple of coats with some good paint?
As long as the old paint is not peeling off, I would not worry about putting a primer first.
Q:What can I do?
Can Beverly gypsum board keel is a German product, in the tooling special, the price is more expensive than Saint-Gobainje, of course, the German product quality is very good.
Q:Gypsum board partition and brick wall connection, how to build to achieve no cracks
To ensure that the most reliable is covered with a steel mesh shop
Q:What is the process of the gypsum board production line?
Ingredients section ?????? The material in the silo is conveyed by horizontal and vertical conveying equipment and sent to the belt scale through a rigid impeller feeder. Excess material, then through the back to the conveyor, hoists and other transportation equipment back to the silo. ?????? Building gypsum, modified starch, coagulant, glass fiber (the production of water-resistant paper gypsum board, refractory gypsum board when used) and other raw materials were measured, into the spiral mixer after mixing into the vertical mixer. ?????? The foaming agent is added to the tank. When used, the blowing agent and moisture are pumped from the metering pump to the foaming device and pass through the compressed air to produce a stable foam and feed it into the vertical mixer. ?????? Adhesive glue in the tank with a good mix into the forming station on both sides of the spray mouth, the tape sprayed on the paper gypsum board on both sides of the paper. The upper and lower face sheets are transported by electric hoist to the paper holder.
Q:At our school, me and several other students are planning to make an outdoor mural to hang on the outside of the school building. the material thats been recommended for us to use is plywood, but it will cost us more money than our funds to get the size we want. one of us has a large board of gyprock that would be just the size we needed. can anyone tell me if we could use it to make the mural?is it weatherproof and will it be compatible with the paint?thank you in advance :)
I am assuming that what you are calling gyprock is what others called sheet rockor drywall which is gypsum (a chalk like material) sandwiched between two layers of heavy paper. If so this is a material that is used on interiors and is NOT weather proof. Exterior or a Marine grade plywood would be the ideal to use out of doors.
Q:We need to put new wallpaper up in the bathroom but the wall is not plasterboard its chipboard. Do you use a special paste/glue as won't wallpaper paste (or paint as an alternative) soak into it? Also would we need to use a lining paper too as that is what we have taken off with the paper that was up.Thanks for your help.
that's a tricky question.
