Press the paper towel stack against the stain and blot so that the staining ingredient will lift onto the paper towels. 8. Continue spraying the carpet with the vinegar solution and blotting carpet until no stain remains. The scent of vinegar should fade away while it evaporates. # For large stains, mix the solution and pour it into the detergent part of a carpet cleaning machine. Q:Has anyone ever tried using oxyclean or any other cleaner that would work good or produce the same results as with the Rug Doctor cleaners?

Problem being! Most rug cleaning machines can't handle sud's. If oxyclean sud's up it can destroy the machine. I don't know about mixing them...I have...used Downy in those machines to soften my rug and get rid of static.
