Q:after hearing false fire alarms over and over do you think people have become immune to the warnings they give?i have seen people in packed malls not blink and eye when a fire alarm goes off, they just go about shopping, even with the red lights flashing.and in apartment buildings when the alarms and the automated warning voice comes over the intercom, people dont even think once that perhaps there is a fire in the building, they just get annoyed and turn the TV up.Do you think this is a dangerous habit for people to have?
I am not a professional on this subject but black sharpie for the rubber parts and spray paint for the plastic breathing vents.
Q:Where is the special relativity paper the Einstein wrote?
CO2 within 15 feet of bedrooms, smoke/fire outside bedroom, and outside room with water heater/furnace.
Q:about how many meters tall is a fire hydrant?
As stated, fuel injected engines do not vapor lock. That's why (your vintage) has two fuel lines, inlet and a return, to keep cool fuel circulating at all times. Vapor lock is fuel boiling in the lines from engine heat, becoming vapor, which cannot be pushed through the lines by the fuel pump. If it's dying while driving, you need to ensure the engine is in good tune (good plugs, wires, cap, rotor) as well as your fuel filter being new/clean. Are you able to restart the vehicle immediately, or do you have problems restarting it once it dies? Are there ANY other problems with the vehicle, whether you think them related or not? Could be a variety of things unfortunately, give us as much info about how/when it happens, and folks might be able to give more detailed answers to help you.
Q:I am a newbie and just bought a used road bike. Bike had a left crank arm that was worn thus it had a lot of play. The square taper bottom bracket uses a nut on a threaded spindle stud(fig 7) to hold crank arm. I went to local bike shop and showed them the old crank arm and they gave me a new crank arm. I tried installing new crank arm but it seems to be too tight. My question are: Is the crank arm supposed to be press fit into the bottom bracket? Or do I have the wrong size crank arm? Also from what I read online bottom brackets that use a threaded spindle are supposed to be of lesser quality that those that use are hollow and use a bolt instead of a nut(fig 5) If I decide to change bottom bracket how do I know which size or variety to purchase? Here is a link to the fig's I'm referring to:
yes its possible to do that one like that we added power locks and windows to my old dakota and it only cost me around 150 bucks for all the needed parts to do it with,if a dealer does this it may cost you more than your wanting to spend on it,i don't work at a dealer but you figure at about 75-90 bucks an hour labor and the parts ,it could cost several hundred to do that one,if it were me id go and get the parts from a salvage yard including the wiring harness and have someone that knows about electrical to help me wire them in and anyone who says it cant be done hasn't done it before, because it can be done, good luck with it.
Q:It's made of metal and it looks like it's been covered in some sort of paint to prevent it from corroding. It's 3'8 high and about 14 across. At the top there is a cross cut into the metal which is almost equal in height and width (though slightly longer in height). It's something I inherited from a relative and I'd love to learn more about it. What I know is it's Swiss and from the 15th century.
BB100 does not mention this. There are circumstances that justify shutdown for example in a gas fired crucible in a steel works, or in a kitchen if people are evacuating due to the fire alarm and may forget to shut off the cookers, or bunsen burners in a school lab. I cannot think of any guidance that requires it as a matter of course. It is sometimes used as a backwards way to shut down the HAV systems in a fire - this is used for convenience since all the contol gear and switching is often connected back to the flame failure device. It may also be a compensating measure- for example in shopping centres gass mains should not be routed through malls, I guess if a shut off was provided this may be ok. It would be interesting to hear other opinions on this, it does seem to be happening almost universally these days and can be a real nuisance due to the time it takes to start up equipment again afterwards.
Q:ultimate spider man 5th race. does anybody have a god tip that will help me beat him? i can get to like the last 3 markers ahead of him i just cant beat him when he goes suber freak fast.
It wouldn't matter what brand you wear. If you were in a situation where you could get head injuries from a tornado, then you are probably screwed anyway. What about debris hitting the rest of your body? Having said that,it sure wouldn't hurt to have a helmet on but I wouldn't go spending heaps on one.
Q:A firefighter a distance d from a burning building directs a stream of water from a fire hose at angle θi above the horizontal as in the figure. If the initial speed of the stream is vi, at what height h does the water strike the building? (Use any variable or symbol stated above along with the following as necessary: g.)
IE/R. In general the wire resistance is much less than the other circuit resistances. If you want to reduce I, increase the resistance, R.
Q:Im talking about the early years. late 60s early mid 70s. The AWA. The man they called the Crusher. He was the one that came out and would carry out the beer keg on his shoulder. And whatever happened to all the former AWA stars? Ive seen a few in the early to late 80s, when the wwe was wwf. and they traveled to duluth mn. And also knew that Gene Okerlund had a cabin on Big Sandy Lake (Mcgregor Mn) and would have a bunch of wrestlers stay up there and go hang out at the Big Sand bar. Just wondering how many of you remember when wrestling was half way real?
Vapor lock is when fuel vaporizes in your fuel lines, putting gas (as in gasoline in a gas phase, as opposed to liquid) in parts of your fuel system that need to be full of liquid in order to work properly (like your fuel pump, carburetor, or injectors). This decreases the flow of fuel to the point where your engine can't run. It is usually caused by some part of the fuel system being exposed to too much heatlike say a fuel line being too close to the exhaust.
Q:Our 8 month old black lab mix is in need of one of these. We tend to walk late at night and early in the morning. We go camping quite a bit as well. So we really need a reflective one. He likes to swim and the collar material type ones take FOREVER to dry! I can find one easily but the sizes seem to stop at 26 chest. His chest is already bigger than that at the largest part of his chest. Does anyone have any ideas? We live in the Denver area but will order online if needed.
this happened to mine too. its called the locking cylinder or column or something like that. but something broke inside the part that you put your key into. you can just call a locksmith to come fix it but it cost me like $98 :(
Q:Ok we are looking to buy street bike helmets and i have seen people ride around with these cool looking visors that have a Design on them and you cant see in but they can see out just fine. I was wondering what they are called any websites that sell them?
Trash it, you will always know what was there. Covering it up does not change it. Even after you remove it, wouldn't you still be able to know what had been removed? Of course, this is a conscience matter, and the choice is yours.
