As stated, fuel injected engines do not vapor lock. That's why (your vintage) has two fuel lines, inlet and a return, to keep cool fuel circulating at all times. Vapor lock is fuel boiling in the lines from engine heat, becoming vapor, which cannot be pushed through the lines by the fuel pump. If it's dying while driving, you need to ensure the engine is in good tune (good plugs, wires, cap, rotor) as well as your fuel filter being new/clean. Are you able to restart the vehicle immediately, or do you have problems restarting it once it dies? Are there ANY other problems with the vehicle, whether you think them related or not? Could be a variety of things unfortunately, give us as much info about how/when it happens, and folks might be able to give more detailed answers to help you.

Q:I am a newbie and just bought a used road bike. Bike had a left crank arm that was worn thus it had a lot of play. The square taper bottom bracket uses a nut on a threaded spindle stud(fig 7) to hold crank arm. I went to local bike shop and showed them the old crank arm and they gave me a new crank arm. I tried installing new crank arm but it seems to be too tight. My question are: Is the crank arm supposed to be press fit into the bottom bracket? Or do I have the wrong size crank arm? Also from what I read online bottom brackets that use a threaded spindle are supposed to be of lesser quality that those that use are hollow and use a bolt instead of a nut(fig 5) If I decide to change bottom bracket how do I know which size or variety to purchase?Here is a link to the fig's I'm referring to:

yes its possible to do that one like that we added power locks and windows to my old dakota and it only cost me around 150 bucks for all the needed parts to do it with,if a dealer does this it may cost you more than your wanting to spend on it,i don't work at a dealer but you figure at about 75-90 bucks an hour labor and the parts ,it could cost several hundred to do that one,if it were me id go and get the parts from a salvage yard including the wiring harness and have someone that knows about electrical to help me wire them in and anyone who says it cant be done hasn't done it before,because it can be done,good luck with it.

There are circumstances that justify shutdown for example in a gas fired crucible in a steel works, or in a kitchen if people are evacuating due to the fire alarm and may forget to shut off the cookers, or bunsen burners in a school lab. I cannot think of any guidance that requires it as a matter of course. It is sometimes used as a backwards way to shut down the HAV systems in a fire - this is used for convenience since all the contol gear and switching is often connected back to the flame failure device. It may also be a compensating measure- for example in shopping centres gass mains should not be routed through malls, I guess if a shut off was provided this may be ok. It would be interesting to hear other opinions on this, it does seem to be happening almost universally these days and can be a real nuisance due to the time it takes to start up equipment again afterwards.

It wouldn't matter what brand you wear. If you were in a situation where you could get head injuries from a tornado, then you are probably screwed anyway. What about debris hitting the rest of your body? Having said that,it sure wouldn't hurt to have a helmet on but I wouldn't go spending heaps on one.

Vapor lock is when fuel vaporizes in your fuel lines, putting gas (as in gasoline in a gas phase, as opposed to liquid) in parts of your fuel system that need to be full of liquid in order to work properly (like your fuel pump, carburetor, or injectors). This decreases the flow of fuel to the point where your engine can't run. It is usually caused by some part of the fuel system being exposed to too much heatlike say a fuel line being too close to the exhaust.

Q:Our 8 month old black lab mix is in need of one of these. We tend to walk late at night and early in the morning. We go camping quite a bit as well. So we really need a reflective one. He likes to swim and the collar material type ones take FOREVER to dry! I can find one easily but the sizes seem to stop at 26 chest. this happened to mine too. its called the locking cylinder or column or something like that. but something broke inside the part that you put your key into. you can just call a locksmith to come fix it but it cost me like $98 :(

Trash it, you will always know what was there. Covering it up does not change it. Even after you remove it, wouldn't you still be able to know what had been removed? Of course, this is a conscience matter, and the choice is yours.
