This school might also be instrumental in setting you up for your real estate exam. In taking the exam yo would need two checks. One for the exam and the other for California to pay for your license once you have successfully passed the real estate exam. There might be a few community colleges that would offer on-line real estate course. You would have to google the college of your choice to find out if they offer such courses. Rowlett Real Estate School. I went to it and passed on the state test on the first go. Later I came back to work here after I passed my instructors test. We run about 20% higher than the 50% pass rate for the whole state. Shameless plug I know, but we have great course and a great pass rate, what's not to love? And if I can pass all this while being young and ignorant, that speaks volumes.

You do not need a degree of any kind to become a real estate agent. I am not against any type degree you would want to get. For a real estate broker some states such as California will allow you to take the real estate broker test as oppose to taking the salesman (Real estate agent) test. If you plan to make selling real estate for a living you would have to have continuing education each year or two in order to maintain your license and keep it current. I would lean more toward getting a degree or at least getting a secondary degree in Sales and Marketing. This type of degree would benefit you as most real estate agents fail because they have little or no experience at marketing themselves To get a license in most states you simply need to complete a real estate school so as to be able to pass the required test administered by the state in which you reside. You should google real estate license (Your state) this will bring up several sites that will tell you the state requirements to obtain a real estate license in your state. Once you know the requirements to obtain a license from your state you may at that time make a decision as to what you want to do about getting your degree and what degree you would want. Hi, I am a part-time real estate agent and I didn't go through a college to get my license, I actually went to a class presented by Century 21. I found this to be a much quicker way to get my license then going through a few semesters of college. Yes, you have to pay of office space in some offices. They are getting much better with that because a lot of agents choose to work from home. Make sure you ask these questions and that you get very clear answers. Yes, the actual Agency has an annual fee that must be paid as long as you are an agent in their company. I'm with ReMax and there is a fee. You will also have a monthly fee to use the Multiple Listing Service (this is how you will find properties for your prospects) They don't usually provide leads, but they do have a roll call for walk-ins, meaning that if you are next on the list you will get the walk-in. But that's if it's a fair company. Choose your company very wisely. For the last few months, it hasn't been so good for agents because of the interest rates. A good thing to know is that when rates are up, then buying or selling real estate is down. It is definitely tied to the economy.

He is a success story, but you have to know 2 things. One, he is in San Antonio, Texas. Texas has not been affected by the real estate slump the rest of the country is experiencing. Secondly, he may have rolled into town with only 5 bucks, but his family is extremely wealthy and I'm sure they helped him get into these properties until he built up a nest egg of his own.
