Q:Is it possible to store energy from solar panels for night?
Solar Power At Night
Q:I thought that I had a fairly good understanding of watt's law, but i'm starting to doubt myself. If I have a load of 4500watts at 240 volts, how many watts of solar panels do I need, if the solar panels are at 2v?Yes, Yes... I have a charge controller, batteries, etc...So the way I looked at this at first:watts = volts * amps For the load4500 = 240 * xx would be 8.75aFor the power source (each solar panel)00 = 2 * xx would be 8.3a8.75 / 8.3 = 2.25, rounded up = 3So... based on that I came to the conclusion that I needed 3 solar panels...But... then I was thinking. Does it work that way?Or do I need 4500 / 00 = 45, aka 45 solar panels? In other words...If I have a 2v power source, how many watts do I need to drive a load of 4500w at 240v?ThanksMatt

Q:I need to write a pressuasive essay on why we should use solar panels more than we do. and convince people that their good and stuff.. if u guys could give me some good key reasons why..that would be great.
Right now, the U.S. government and some state governments (like California) are offering subsidies on solar panels for businesses and houses. With these subsidies, anyone infesting in solar power today will have their investment returned in less than 0 years. This means that with these subsidies, solar panels are basically paying for themselves; they're free. In addition, excess power generated on solar panels can be added to the local power grid and, if you're lucky and can set it up with your local power distributor, the power company will pay you for the power you generate. This are just financial reasons. Their is also the reduction of power generated by fossil fuels when using solar power which mitigates climate change.
Q:I know that there is a life expectancy for solar panels, and I suppose, the technology involved. Any information?
Who okorder /... That suggests that the power the panel output will degrade a little less than % per year. We've had ours up for 5 years now, and I haven't noticed a steady degradation pattern. But the yearly weather is so variable, it's hard to see a pattern. The 2nd year's production was actually higher than the first. It could just be clearer skies or colder temperatures, who knows.
Q:Do they really save energy? Cut or almost eliminate your electricity bill, if so, how much?Do they have a reserve unit to save electricity that I don't use, to use when the sun is not out?Can it produce enough electricity to cool a house and keep lights and appliances runningLastly, how much are the panels are running for.
It Can produce enough energy to run fans and yes keep the house cool. And if you also want to make one try it out. Good luck and save energy
Q:Do solar panels require regular maintenance?
Yes, solar panels generally require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes periodic cleaning to remove dirt, debris, and snow, as well as checking for any possible damage or malfunctioning components. Additionally, regular inspections and maintenance by professionals are recommended to identify and address any potential issues or inefficiencies.
Q:Here's a little idea I though might help everyone out in Iraq a little: How about if the US mass produces solar panels that are small enough to carry (maybe one foot by three feet) that have a regular power outlet on them to the Iraqis? We could send convoys to the people waiting in line to buy gas and give each person one free solar panel. Why?. A lot of people are buying gas to run generators for air conditioning, not to fuel vehicles. 2. It would help reduce the gas lines if people only needed gas for cars instead of their generators too.3. It would help reduce the fighting over the power grid if people didn't need the grid for their own electrical power. My theory is, once every family in Iraq has enough of these panels that they don't even care about the power grid (during the daytime anyway) it would be much easier to fix the power grid. Maybe these solar panels could even connect to and add to the power grid.
A big problem with your theory is that because the solar panel is so small the amount of energy gathered from it would be small and probably wouldnt be able to provide electricity for things and even if it did it wouldn't last very long. its a good idea but it just won't work. in order to produce the amount of energy your talking about the solar panels would have to be the size of a roof and be placed on the rooftop or a hill or something. people wuldnt be able to carry that around.
Q:Can solar panels be used in areas with high levels of shade?
Solar panels can still be used in areas with high levels of shade, but their efficiency may be significantly reduced. The shade from trees, buildings, or other obstructions can block sunlight from reaching the panels, limiting their ability to generate electricity. However, there are advanced technologies and strategies available, such as microinverters or optimizers, that can help mitigate the impact of shade and improve panel performance in shaded conditions.
Q:i wanted to buy solar panels but this guy told me one will just power one light bulb what i want to know is how much thay cost and is it true tat if more power leaves your house than goes in the power company has to send u a cheek
If you are looking into a credit or buy back of hydro, you should be inquiring about windpower not solar...you will have better luck creating more with that than panels. It is not so much the cost of the panels that is a lot, it is the cost of everything else you will need to use/store the power....inverter, batteries...etc
