It works really s Well try GETTING Tile and grout cleaner the one for really dirty tiles THEY HAVE like 3 kinds the first 2 are NOT VERY GOOD on really bad floors but that 3 kind is reall GOOD and get a hand brush and go at it ALSO try awlsome its a REAL good cleaner its manly at the 99? store. .

- Are these tiles applied directly to a concrete floor that sits on the ground? If so, it sounds like efflorescence, where salt moves from the ground into the floor and then through the tile appearing as a white film on the surface of the tile (it happens through basement walls and if bricks are placed on the ground). Scrubbing may not be enough. You may have to check at your local hardware store for a sealer for your tiles or a cleaner strong enough to prevent the film from forming again.

- You need to paint tiles with tile paint, especially if they're in a wet place like your bathroom or toilet. Alternatively (if you want to put yourself into more expense), you can buy a universal sealant to first seal the tiles. Paint the sealant onto the tiles and give it enough time (according to manufacturer's specifications) to dry. You can then paint over this with emulsion paint. One word of warning: Don't expect it to last forever and it may scratch easily. It'll look good though... I've used this method in the link below. - You can only choose tile sizes for Windows Store apps right now and you only get two sizes to choose from. Tiles for desktop programs only have one size. I downloaded the Windows 8 Blue OS that was leaked a few days ago and it allows 3 tile sizes for Windows Store apps. I was also able to make desktop program tiles one size smaller but who knows if that will carry over to the final release. - Dominic

- Its wise to under take any DIY that you can do yourself,because you can save and also it gives you great satisfaction that you done it.Regarding the laying of the tiles its quite easy,before you start have a plan to how you going to lay them,especially the cutting ones near the edges.You can also move it over if the cut is to small. I think you have to heat them before you lay them as to make them more flexable,take care not too over heat them.Start with the full tiles first and leave the cutting for last....good luck
