1. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.
2 . Could you company supply polished porcelain tile?
—— Yes. We could supply various kinds of polished porcelain tile, with size 60*60, 80*80, 100*100 and 60*120.
3. What is the delivery time after we paid the deposit?
—— Normally we shall get all items ready for loading within 3 weeks after we get the deposit or the formal Letter of Credit?
- Q:Currently the stairs are carpeted. I have heard that if this is not done properly the tiles will crack. How do I ensure that the stairs are level and stable enough for the tiles? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
- It can be done, but the trick is in using the proper setting materials and grout. For starters, you'll need an epoxy thinset. These are industrial grade-- not available at the local home center-- and can be difficult to trowel due to the fact that they set up quickly. You'll want to mix it in small doses so that you can set tile before it cures. Wear rubber gloves, too, as you'll hate to find out the hard way that you have an epoxy allergy. Plus, the stuff's super tacky and gets on but not off just about everything you'll touch. I'd recommend porcelain tiles, as they are stronger than most. But here's the rub: you want an abraded surface porcelain or you and yours will be slipping down to the next level of your home. Then, you definitely want to use at minimum an epoxy grout between your tiles. Allows for flexibility. Better yet, you should use a 100% silicone as grout. You can get these in colors-- they're not all clear. You'll be using that same silicone to create soft joints on the coves (where the riser meets the stairs-- vertical to horizontal), as well. The vertical risers move independently from the horizontal stairs, and a rigid, hard joint here will definitely cause cracking. The best thing you can do is stop by a local tile distributor. They sell primarily to the commercial trade, but most have showrooms and are open to the public. Ask the manager there about your application. If he can't help, he can call one of his suppliers (a guy like me) who can walk you through it.

You can use a tile bull nose or a wood trim. Spread the needed glue, usually a thin set , over a small area. Then you can break tiles , ( very carefully) with a hammer or a pair of tile nippers. I use tile nippers to create the piece effect. These methods are called rubble effect. You ll need a honing stone to hone the tile edges so they are not sharp. Set into the wet glue, don t let it skim over or become dry. Grout as needed depending on what type of tile you use. If its not there just ask someone in the flooring department, unlike Home Depot, Lowes actually has employees you can find. One thing to watch for is depth of the store bought moulding, make sure it doesn't hang down too far and inter fear with your drawers, if it does you can rip off the excess on a table saw

- Actually, if you're talking about ceramic tile, you can't just lay carpet over it... unless you really like the look of seeing the grout indents from the tile that will eventually show through the carpeting. Sorry... I do know how you feel though because my entrance, my hallway, my kitchen and dining area as well as the powder room are all ceramic tile. I live where it gets down to -46 Celsius (with windchill factor). That way, even if a guest comes buy (in February, with soaking wet boots and only nylons on her feet), they can enjoy the warmth. There might be a way of putting down a veneer floor without nails, directly on top of your ceramic tile. It would have to be easy to remove. Perhaps using silicone, but you might want to ask that question here on answers, and get a specialist in that area to help. If you can do it without ruining your tile, then you could easily glue a carpet to the veneer floor. My final thought is this: If you're here on Yahoo answers in the decorating forum, you likely enjoy decorating. So take the throw rugs and and area rugs and have fun with it. Turn it into a decorating scheme. When Fall rolls around, pull out those rugs, match them to your decor and color scheme and turn them into part of the room. When Spring rolls around, roll up the rugs, sweep out the winter and turn your floors back into a soothing cool for tired feet. Hope this helps!
