Q:Tiles on the cement can not get rid of how to do?
If it is glazed tiles, with a gray knife or iron to large scraping off, leaving a small part of the cotton yarn wiped on the line. If it is quintana brick, (that is, no glazed), the first scraping more, and then wipe with a wire wipe off on the line.
Q:how do i get black grout stains off of white tile???
Try some straight bleach. Be sure to ventilate the room well as bleach is strong...
Q:can dremel rotary tool cut tiles?
Depends on the exact type of tile. Some porcelain and other hard bodied tile you ll burn the bits and possible the motor itself. If it was a smaller area you had to cut out, it would possible work. Some satillo tiles you could do this with some extra bits , since they are a softer bodied tile. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:How to cover where grout, laminate wood & tile flooring meet.?
Tile To Laminate Transition
Q:to TILE or NOT to tile....?
I prefer having tile to not having tile for the wow factor. But generally it is more expensive than people realize to have it done right. But I don't see what you talking about for practicality issues. Tiling doesn't waterproof a surface. If you apply tile over OSB, you will have toxic mold in one month. If you apply cement board directly over studs and then tile, you will have toxic levels of mold on the studs within a year. If you want waterproofing you have to install it into your tile setup.
Q:What is the name for flexible tile?
Mosaic tiles perhaps? What was it made out of? Was it ceramic tile, vinyl tile, ?? EDIT: It sounds like a simple mosiac tile. They come in 12x12 with the mesh backing so that you can lay them on the wall without any back-buttering or so that you can cut them into smaller strips without having the rest fall apart. They do make thicker, stone tiles in this way too so maybe that was it.
Q:On stone tile:?
err. . .it's not completely waterproof!
Q:Can we remove dried cement from surface of tiles?
Muriatic Acid is what you want, but use heavy rubber gloves and use sparingly. Don't let it spatter on carpets or furniture. Don't let it spatter on metal. it is a weak acid and will bubble up when it gets onto cement. To neutralize it, you can use a solution of bicarbonate of Soda and water. White vinegar may well work also and you might want to try that one first since it has less precautions that would come with its use. You would neutralize that the same way. If your tile grouting has been sealed, you will have to redo that.
Q:On Hockey-shot's Dry land Flooring Tiles..........?
I think I understand your question, the tiles you can't skate on unless you have roller hockey skates, it's called sport court. I play roller hockey and ice and the tiles for roller SUCK! If I were you I'd just go fin a certain kind of paint I can't recall the name of the brand, but paint the garrage floor with it and you can skate in there and stick handle if you have enough room. Hope this helps
Q:How can you trim tile that is already set on the floor?
Cutting the tiles that are already set is difficult to do and messy. Making a clean strait cut that will butt up to the cabinets is tough to do. If you slip and score the tops of the tiles you won't be able to fix them. You might want to try and build up the floor behind the cabinets to the height of the tiles and put the cabinets on top. That will probably be the easiest way. Any color tile will work since they will be behind the cabinets and unnoticed. I would go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a box of returned tiles (much cheaper that way) and a pail of Thinset. You can apply the thinset to each tile individually and use a 4' level to make sure the height is good.
