Q:What are the differences between glass asbestos and glass reinforced plastics?
Asbestos also known as "mountain cloth" is a commercial term that refers to silicate mineral products with high tensile strength, high flexibility, heat resistance, and chemical corrosion, electrical insulation as well as spinnability. It is the general term of natural fibrous silicate minerals. It includes two categories, a total of six kinds of minerals(serpentine asbestos, hornblende asbestos, actinolite asbestos, antholite asbestos, amosite asbestos, tremolite asbestos, etc.) Asbestos are made of fiber bundles, while fiber bundles are composed of long and narrow fibers which can be separated from each other. Asbestos, with properties of highly fire resistance, electrical insulation and thermal insulation, are important fireproofing, electrical insulation and thermal insulation materials. Glass reinforced plastics(FRP) also known as GRP, are fiber-reinforced plastics which generally refers to the matrix of glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin and phenolic resin. Reinforced plastics, with glass fiber or its products as reinforced materials, refer to glass fibre reinforced plastics or glass reinforced plastics. Due to the different varieties of resin, there are polyester glass reinforced plastics, epoxy glass reinforced plastics, and phenolic aldehyde glass reinforced plastics. They are light and rigid, non-conducting, and corrosion-resistant. They have high mechanical strength, low recycling rate. Machine parts, cars and Ship hulls made of steel can be replaced by them.
Q:How to distinguish green glass wools?
It is very simple. First, look the appearance. Glass wool is pure white, not bleached. Bleached glass wool is milk white, and the glass fiber is thorny, white formaldehyde-free glass wool is soft to touch. Second, look at the test report, and verify the authenticity of the test report online. Detection result of formaldehyde-free should be zero or "not detected". If the detection result is 0.1, it can't be formaldehyde-free. So take a closer look at the test report, and do not be deceived . Many manufacturers have bleach the glass wool which is cheap but counterfeit. You get what you pay for. So look carefully.
Q:What are the differences among glass wool, rock wool and mineral wool?
Glass wool: The main raw material is glass, the fire rating of which is A-level, and the heat conductivity coefficient is 0.037, the shrinkage temperature is around 270 degrees. Uses: It has a significant cold insulation performance. Rock wool: The main raw material is basalt, the fire rating of which is A-level, and the heat conductivity coefficient is 0.040, the shrinkage temperature is around 730 degrees. Uses: It can be used in high-end engineering projects such as construction, shipbuilding, petrochemical ones. Mineral wool: The main raw material is slag, the fire rating of which is A-level, and the heat conductivity coefficient is 0.044, the shrinkage temperature is around 680 degrees. Uses: It can be used as filling and thermal insulation materials for curtain walls.
Q:Glass wool and pef air conditioning insulation material, which one is better?
It's all right to use rubber and plastic, PEF or glass wool, but it is not recommended to use glass wool which has poor waterproof effect, and try to use rubber! Select the appropriate thickness according the local winter temperature, or it will be frozen if it is too thin in winter.
Q:Who know the construction technology of glass wool?
1, The construction condition. 1.1, The substrate must be dry and be passed acceptance inspection. 1.2, The construction site should be granted with no more than five grade of wind force during construction. 1.3, Effective measures should be taken during construction in rainy days to prevent glass wool from being wetted by rainwater. 2, the main construction tools: wllpaper knife, electric screwdriver and fe, electric screwdriver, 2m guiding rule. 3, Construction process. 4. Construction points. 4.1, Construction preparation: 4.1.1, Material preparation: Prepare the detailed supply planned order of materials according to the drawings and projects condition. All materials approved into the site must be qualified products, complying with the relevant regulatory requirements nationally, industrially and locally. 4.1.2 Construction machinery: All machinery must be tested to ensure their good performance. 4.1.3, Personnel preparation: Technical personnel must be provided with technical training and technical disclosure.
Q:What is the difference between glass wool and rock wool?
Production of raw materials and different processes
Q:Which is the more commonly used thermal insulation material between thermal insulation glass silk wool and rock wool?
Glass wool is a little better in that it has a lighter volume-weight than rock wool and better water-resistance ability, but it is more expensive than rock wool a lot of density, waterproof performance is better than lighter than wool to wool, but glass wool is more expensive in price per unit. In terms of fireproof effect, rock wool is definitely superior to glass wool. Rock wool has a maximum temperature of 1100 ℃, whereas glass wool has only 600 ℃. In addition, if used in the external walls, since glass wool has a limited volume-weight, which can merely reach at 60 to 90 in general, but rock wool have a volume-weight up to 140, so present-day external walls will not employ glass wool in general. Instead, rock wool is usually available because it is a A-level fireproof material. Glass wool is slightly lower than roock wool in thermal conductivity, while rock wool has longer fiber length. As for prices, glass wool per ton is more expensive than rock wool, but if the price is measured by per square, glass wool then is cheaper than rock wool.
Q:How can I fix the glass cotton insulation board to the wall?
The method to fix rock wool insulation boards to the wall: Use adhesion agents to bond rock wool and base wall together, and drive insulation supporting pins. Rock wool external thermal insulation uses rock wool board as insulation layer, and set it outside of the structure layer of external wall to achieve thermal insulation effect of wall. This construction method of composite wall insulation material requirements attached to the solid layer structure. The protective layer outside of insulating layer should have a certain intensity, impact resistance, crack resistance and waterproofness, and have good hotel decoration design. Common characteristics of rock wool wall system incluede the increase of thermal insulation properties of external wall, saving energy consumed for heating, the improvement of wall thermal inertia, and of indoor thermal environment. Compared with other energy-saving wall systems, rock wool system is conducive to the discharge of water vapor inside the wall, generating less internal condensation and dewfall, and the structural layer is drier and warmer. Also, the cost of rock wool system is cheap, it has good fire performance, sound insulation performance.
Q:What is the difference between anti-high temperature glass wool and ordinary glass wool?
High-temperature glass wool is made of lathy glass fibers without shot. Compared with other kinds of insulation materials, it will not be broken due to water or rain, and it can still remain its insulation properties unchanged after drying in the sun (Thermal insulation materials have hydrophobicity which doesn’t mean that the materials are not hydrophilic but means that the discharge capacity for absorbed moisture). High-temperature glass wool is a thermal insulation material that can resist high temperature with its lightweight, lasting durability and excellent thermal insulation property, the material that is made up of uniform and slender and elastic glass fibers as well as special high-temperature adhesive. The outer protective layer of thermal insulation structure can use galvanized iron sheet based on specific circumstances. Application of high-temperature glass wool: It is widely used in equipment and pipelines of electric power, petroleum, chemical industry, light industry, metallurgy and other industries, serving as the thermal insulation.
Q:what is the specifications of glass wool and rock wool shell and tube?
diameter. The first is the unit weight. ,thickness
