Q:how long does it take to see a star's light?
Distance(miles) light travels [in a vacuum]... per second:186,000 per minute: 11,160,000 per hour: 669,600,000 per day: 16,070,400,000 per year: 5,865,696,000,000or 5Trillion, 865Billion,696Million miles Now why you want to know that distance is beyond me since very very very few people can truly grasp the sheer immensity of those numbers and distances. I can talk about and throw around those numbers all day, but I can't truly put them into perspective. They're just too huge. I mean, what's the longest trip you've ever made...a thousand miles or maybe two thousand even? that is nothing compared to cosmic distances. Anyway, it takes time for light to travel anywhere, just like anything else. So, depending upon how far away a star is, it took that long for the light hitting your eyeballs to get here from the star. Alpha Proxima is 4.5 light years away. When you look at it, the photons hitting your eye left that star 4.5 years ago. Something to think about: You're not even seeing the star where it is. In those intervening 4.5 years, it moved and so has the earth. So, what you are REALLY seeing is a photon that was sent from its THEN position in a direction that ended up intersecting with the earth's NOW position. But, it's all perfectly okay in a relative way.
Q:Can light fit into a little box?
Unless it's heavy light. Then, you'd need a litter box a few light years length by a few light years depth by a few light years height to carry it. But no one could lift such a box, or really see it for what it is, all at once. So what's the point?
Q:looking for infinity light plans any idea?
I may be totally off with this but infinity reminded me of a type of decorative light fixture which was more artsy than a viable light source. The structure was basically a shadow box perhaps 3 inches deep, and in this case it may have been square. At the back of the box was a mirror that fit entirely. Around the inside of the box were what may have been white christmas lights, and the face was glass covered. As I recall the entire structure was painted black. As I'm thinking this however there must have been other mirrors, unless the back of the clear glass front was refelctive to the inside, because what one could see was a series of these lights in a vanishing perspective way. Steven Wolf
Q:the giver of light?
Q:alternatives to grow lights?
Q:Candle Light, Or Electric?
You can generate electricity with solar cells or a wind or hand crank generator, which is practically free and renewable. When a candle burns up it's gone.
Q:District courtyard lights and square garden lights are different
Some are very complex, very atmospheric, very noble, also interspersed with the European style
Q:How do you use a torch lighter?
The same way you would light a bowl with a regular lighter. Suck in while you light the bowl to prevent burning yourself. And your in the wrong section. Next time, put it under Health
Q:If light travels at light speed, how old is light?
Title question... We cannot know what time sense light has. We cannot apply the Lorentz transforms to anything moving at c, and there are no reference frames moving at c. First statement... Nothing can travel at the speed of light, that has mass, and experiences time. Second question... We cannot tell how old light is. If we were God-like and traveled with light, it would be a stationary EM field. It does respond to polarizers, gravitational wells and such, not infinitely but proportionately. So it does not make sense to assume they are timeless. Third question... Light is not an object, it has no mass, no reference frame. Virtual photons travel all possible speeds and follow all possible paths, with no c limitation (except on average). This is an old question, and the laws of physics for massive objects *does not apply* to light. So you will find no satisfactory answer to your question.
Q:Can low light plants thrive in high light?
Light is your plants gas pedal. Low light plants just have a better ability to survive under less than ideal conditions. You can have them no problem just like anubias plants tend to grow a little algae on them because of how they grow. But high light plants offer so many colors and you can pump in the iron to get everyone red. Space is limited so I wouldn't waste time with low light plants. good luck!!!
