- Q:what is the difference between suspense and suspension? in what situation do you use them?
- Suspense --The state or quality of being undecided, uncertain, or doubtful. --Pleasurable excitement and anticipation regarding an outcome, such as the ending of a mystery novel. --Anxiety or apprehension resulting from an uncertain, undecided, or mysterious situation. Suspension -- a. A temporary abrogation or cessation, as of a law or rule. b. A temporary debarment, as from school or a privilege, especially as a punishment. c. A postponement, as of a judgment, opinion, or decision. --Chemistry A system in which microscopically visible particles are dispersed throughout a less dense liquid or gas from which they are easily filtered but not easily settled because of system viscocity or molecular interactions. --Music a. The prolongation of one or more tones of a chord into a following chord to create a temporary dissonance. -- A device from which a mechanical part is suspended. --The system of springs and other devices that insulates the chassis of a vehicle from shocks transmitted through the wheels.
- Q:If you can add only one thing to yahoo answers , what would it be?
- A Troll Button. It destroys the trolls in Yahoo! and when you click on it, the trolls get a wave of electricity sent to them and a little notice saying, Don't be such a troll, this message will self-descruct in 2.00 mins making the trolls run away and never return. One can dream, it would never happen, and it probably has flaws.
- Q:A mechanic I was talking to said that anything over two inches will cause in havin to change many other things I was just wondering if anyone had an answers?
- It depends on whether you are raising or lowering the vehicle. If you're lowering it, it requires no change in the drivetrain. If you are raising it to put bigger tires or very large rims that increase weight or grip on the ground (i.e. mud tires), you will have to beef up the transmission. They make a kit to extend the steering linkage.
- Q:a closed system consisting of an elastic membrane enclosing a colloidal suspension is squeezed. the compressive pressure is 10 Pa and the the volume of the system changes from 100L to 80L. during this process 1J of heat is released. calculate the change in internal energy of the system.
- how can we know 1 joule left the system? explain please. tq
- Q:Installing a 3 suspension lift on a 1998 TJ?
- The sway bars connect to to the axles via sway bar links at outer points and are shaped a little like a really wide horse shoes they connect to the frame and they reduce body roll/leaning when turning. The track bars are the very hefty tube probably 1 1/2 inch diameter that run diagnal from the frame down to the top of the axle houseing. What they do is they keep the axle centered on the vehicle. Lifting a TJ is not too bad and on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty is probably a 6-7. Follow the install instructions, they tend to be very well written and 4WD Hardware in the past has always had decent technical support. The only suggestions I would have is not so much for installation other than you will need a spring compressor, but more for removal of your old items make sure you have a torch, some PB Blaster, or some Kroil Deep Creep to get your bolts loosened. I generally soak all the hardware I'll be removing for 24-48 hours with either product re-spraying it about every 8 hours during that period. It may sound excessive but I've never broken or had to cut off a bolt during the switching of a suspension.
- Q:i want to buy an air suspension system for my s-10 and i already have the compressor, an airtank and two bags. What else do I need?
- As soon as it turns from liquid to solid it's ready for use.
- Q:My 95 crown vic is leaning alittle to the right and after the car is off and i turn it on after about 5 mins of being on the check air suspension light comes on. someone has told me On an airbag suspension system, a vehicle that leans to the right is typically the fault of the vehicle weight shifting from side to side. I would recommend replacing the front coil springs. If you replace one, both should be replaced so buy a set. After replacing the parts, you will need to have an alignment done. Does this sound about right or what??
- Root killer has to pass into our lines because of the fact the lines gets 0.5 way stopped up. Water will come out onto the floor. And an scent will arise the drains. Rid x is put in a million time a month. It eats the crap in the tank. It places enzymes into the tank. If all it is not carried out the tank can decrease back up into the homestead. We have been fortunate ours subsidized up into between the tub tubs. terrible. Bleach wiped sparkling the bathtub. Bleach is to no longer be put in a septic tank.
- Q:I have a mountain bike with a rear suspension system on it. The back fork is attached to a spring and a piston so that it can give a bit when I hit a bump. Will one of those rear pannier racks fit on it or would it lock itself onto both the wheel and the frame. If it locked to both the frame and the wheel I suspect the up and down movement of the rear wheel would break it.

- Q:Why is my car suspension bottoming out, I have a 87 BMW 325is and the front right side has about 2'' of travel?
- the suspension is made up of many different components. checking the tire's wear will help point out suspension problems. I would say your shocks are probably worn out, and you should replace them. But i'd need to look at the car to determine if anything else is causing the problem
- Q:Are there general guides or steps one should follow on how to remove weight from automotive suspension system when servicing? Usually when I work on my own suspension, sometimes it takes me a while to figure out how to remove the weight on areas like springs, ball joints, control arms, cv joints, rack and pinion, suspension/transmission motor mounts, etc. (or the spring sometimes if I can‘t remove the weight off the car from it, I just compress it with a compressor and a lot zip ties, but I feel there is a better method)
- A jack - preferably a floor jack on a hard surface. Jack stands for safety. Plus you have to jack on the right point - a frame member or pinchweld, not the transmission or floor pan or exhaust pipe.
