Q:can anyone give any solution to this problem? i have loads of flies in my garden, there is no animal waste or?
Go to your local home and garden center. There are fly traps available. The one I use is a gallon jug with an attractant that you mix with water. If you leave the trap in a low sunny place, you'll be grossly amazed at the number of flies it will capture. We use one only about every two years because it's so effective. They cost about $10. Good luck.
Q:If you have a better homes cook book you may be able to help me!?
I don't know how old....a very old Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book is to you....but... I have a BHG cookbook from 1972. I looked under casseroles, per your request, and the only thing I could find with tuna and rice was a recipe for Rice and Tuna Pie. I also have a BHG cookbook from 1941 but it had nothing with tuna and rice. This is the recipe which was in the 1972 book: Rice and Tuna Pie 2 cups rice, cooked 1 tablespoon onions, diced fine 2 tablespoons butter 1 eggs, slightly beaten 1/4 teaspoon marjoram, dried 1 9-1/4 ounces canned tuna, drained 1 cup swiss cheese, shredded 3 eggs, beaten 1 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram 1 tablespoon onions, diced fine salt and pepper pimientos Beat together eggs, onion, butter and marjoram add to rice and mix well. Press onto bottom and sides of lightly buttered 10 inch pie plate. Spread tuna evenly over rice shell. Combine remaining ingredients, cheese, eggs, milk, marjoram, onion, salt and pepper, pour over tuna. Bake 350 degree oven for 50-55 minutes. Garnish with pimentos if desired.
Q:Has anyone used rock dust in gardens? Are vegetables better? Fruit trees? and how much did you use? I want to?
good old crap works for me! forget that rock dust... go out and buy some grade A crap!
Q:When hemp is legalized again in the United States. will you start to grow it in your home gardens?
Probably not. I actually like to grow castor oil plants more. They look better and grow really fast. And plus, who else can say you grow one of the most toxic plants on earth in your yard?
Q:What a good home maid fertilizer for a garden.? ?
Good home made fertilizers: Compost: made form leaves, twigs, grass clippings and garbage. Wood ashes from the fireplace and/or grill. Epsom salt (in small doses )can make nutrients more available to plants. If you decide to buy some fertilizer use a balanced organic fertilizer Gypsum is a good additive for most vegetables.
Q:concave, v, raked, and extruded are all types of what?
Your answer is mortar joints, but how did this find it's way to the Botany section? It should have been posted in Home Garden.
Q:Give me names of magazines like for home interior, home lifestyle, etc...?
Better Homes and Gardens, Traditional Home, Family Circle.
Q:Manure for fertilizer??? Can you use this for a small home garden?
Animal fertilizer is wonderful and farmers have been using it for years. We always put the manure from the horse and cow barns where it would do the most good. It is very mild compared to chemical fertilizer and rarely burns the crops. My mother's fig bushes always produce the most abundant crops and the flowers around the house love it. In some countries they use human fertilizer, but I think I would draw the line at this. We never had a commercial chicken house but that fertilizer works well, but is stronger than cow or horse. When I buy fertilizer I get the chemical because I get more for the money and I don't over fertilize. Use the manure if you like, it won't hurt anything. Good luck.
Q:Book recommendations for how to plan for when your garden flowers bloom?
There is a link to a book in my source section below. But what you are looking for is succession gardening, so do a web search on that term in quotes. The second link is to a garden plan description on the Better Homes Gardens web site. You will have to register to see the actual plan but they do not spam you.
Q:Are tiny homes really just garden sheds on a trailer ?
Yes, just fitted out better than a garden shed
