Q:Recipe for Hopping Bunny Bread from Better Homes and Garden Bread Cookbook from 1963?
I have a Hopping Bunnies recipe scribbled on a recipe card. It is identical to the Orange Rosettes recipe. I've always used butter instead of shortening. The bunnies are shaped as directed in the link to the bread machine recipe. While still warm, they are frosted with a sugar glaze (see below). Mix ¼ cup hot water, 1 t butter and 2 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar. Mix until well blended.
Q:If you have a better homes cook book you may be able to help me!?
I don't know how old....a very old Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book is to you....but... I have a BHG cookbook from 1972. I looked under casseroles, per your request, and the only thing I could find with tuna and rice was a recipe for Rice and Tuna Pie. I also have a BHG cookbook from 1941 but it had nothing with tuna and rice. This is the recipe which was in the 1972 book: Rice and Tuna Pie 2 cups rice, cooked 1 tablespoon onions, diced fine 2 tablespoons butter 1 eggs, slightly beaten 1/4 teaspoon marjoram, dried 1 9-1/4 ounces canned tuna, drained 1 cup swiss cheese, shredded 3 eggs, beaten 1 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram 1 tablespoon onions, diced fine salt and pepper pimientos Beat together eggs, onion, butter and marjoram add to rice and mix well. Press onto bottom and sides of lightly buttered 10 inch pie plate. Spread tuna evenly over rice shell. Combine remaining ingredients, cheese, eggs, milk, marjoram, onion, salt and pepper, pour over tuna. Bake 350 degree oven for 50-55 minutes. Garnish with pimentos if desired.
Q:Centerpiece ideas is candy theme okay?
do flower arrangements in soft colors- no carnations sorry, but I think the candy idea is odd
Q:Soil Test Kit for Contaminates - Home Garden?
I can only speak from experience which is slightly old now that I'm retired.......The tests for contaminants is contaminate specific, that is you must specify what contaminant you are looking for and then the appropriate test is made.......at a very high cost......$150 a pop back then. We could not do a broad screen contaminate test.....we had to have an idea first. I'd suggest you have a typical soil test done by a Laboratory and include micro nutrients such as iron, etc. Contact your Cooperative Extension agent in your county to learn about the soil test process, how to properly gather the soil and how to package and of course, how much $ to include. The agent can also help decide if the soil might have been contaminated. A simple test for herbicides is to gather some soil into two pots. In one grow lawn grass or corn and in the other grow beans. Certain herbicides work on either a monocot or dicot type plant. For example if you can't grow the bean but can grow the corn you know the soil has residual herbicide for dicots.
Q:are you an essay writer?
I would assume that relationship mutualism in the garden refers to having plants that go together such as having all cacti or desert plants or all evergreen plants. It could also refer to a vegetable and fruit garden and crop rotation (ie not planting the same crops each year, changing them so one crop doesn't rob the ground of its nutrients) if you can elaborate on your prompt it will be easier to help you
Q:3 short home/garden questions??? 10pts!!!?
1 you can try is the plant is in a pot-- it has flowers. tomatoes are annuals= live 1 season die. #2 go out before the ground freezes, pull weeds, flowers ,etc. either till the soil w/ a mechanical roto-tiller or double-dig w/ a spading fork shovel-- to 'double-dig' is to dig down 1 spade depth, turn the earth so that the former top is rotated 90 degrees --do this for the entire bed. leave it exposed for the winter---then in late winter/early spring work over the bed again adding compost, maures, etc. (double-digging is hard work--so if you have a weak back-or medical issues either hire a teenager to do it or use the roto-tiller which can be rented by the hour in many larger cities) #3 try using waxed thread and an awl -which is a heavy needled hand tool made for this work.
Q:Home decor question?
Since your sofa set is already a one with the neutral color you either change one of the two from the rug or the sofa set. Generally a good idea is to have a sofa set with the one with a neutral color and then the rug follows. With the grey sofa set, black rug with a good soft texture will look good. If not black, try going for off white, lime green or light brown. These colors are neutral as you would prefer it and they go pretty good with the grey color of your sofa set.
