Q:Wiring a duct booster fan?
As you say, the black wire is hot and the green wire is ground. The white wire is called neutral. It's the return path for the voltage from the hot wire. Connect the black and white wires to the two power wires in your duct. Hopefully the colors are the same. The hot wire in the duct may be a different color, red or something. Colors like this are frequently used to mean a hot wire that's switched. It sounds like there's a plug for the fan. You can wire on a 3 pin plug and use an adaptor to plug it into a 2 pin outlet or just wire on a 2 bladed plug and leave the green wire off. Make sure it can't touch anything and cause a short.
Q:Physics, Resistance of a wire help?
If the wires are the same diameter and the same length then the only difference is the resistivity or  ρ  of each since:   Resistance = ρ • L ⁄ A = 4 • L ⁄ (π • d)²       where  L = wire length   and   A = cross-sectional area of wire   or use  d = wire diameter Since the ρ_nichrome is much higher than the ρ_aluminum and given the two wires are the same diameter and length then if you connect the two wires in series across a battery, and measure the voltage across each wire, the wire with the higher voltage will be the nichrome wire because the voltage across the nichrome wire is: Vɴ = i • (Rɴ) and the voltage across the aluminum wire is:  Va = i • (Ra)  and the current i is the same through both wires and Rɴ Ra ... or if you can just measure the resistance of each wire, ... the nichrome wire will have a higher value.
Q:what guage wire is that?
even speaker wire can handle 12V of power direct to the battery as long as there is some sort of fuse in the setup and you are properly grounded
Q:house thermostat light-green wire used for?
The standard wiring for Heat/Cool T-stat. Is as follows Red 24 volts to the T-stat. White to the heat. Green to the fan relay. Yellow to the condenser.
Q:installing telephone wires?
Put them in yourself for free. It is only 4 wires and for a single line you only use two wires. Red and Green are the main telephone, yellow and black are for a second line. If you hook up the wires and you can't dial out, but have a dial tone, switch the wires.
Q:why do thicker wires change a circuit?
It depends on what the resistance of the rest of the circuit was. The resistance of relatively short lengths of really thin wire would be less than 2 ohms, probably less than 1 ohm. Thicker wire would be maybe 1/4 ohm. So only if the circuit's components were in the neighborhood of 25 ohms or less, would the difference in thin and thick wires have a real significant affect on the circuit.
Q:how to wire a new plug on a wire?
If the cord has three wires, black to the brass screw, white to the silver screw, and green to the green screw. If the cord has just black and white, ditto, except use a two-prong replacement plug, no green. If the cord is flat - no colors, just two wires side-by-side - the smooth side to the brass screw, the ribbed side to the silver screw.
Q:Crimp Beads and left-over Wire...?
Depending on the size of the hole in the beads, I usually run the wire down throw about 2 inches worth of beads; then crimp and clip. This also ensures that if the necklace if caught and pulled you have about 2 inches of slack before you are chasing beads on the floor. If you hole in the beads are small you can do two different things. 1) find a coordinating bead with larger holes that you can end the necklace with on both sides of the catch 2) Be sure your wire is running straight back down the original wire after going through the crimp, then crimp and clip. The end of the wire will be straighter and not tend to go out to the side and punch your neck. And unfortunately there is not a solution every time.
Q:wiring a light switch?
Seems like you have three way light switches. Try using a three way light switch there is a difference from a regular light switch.
Q:Swapped from 305 TPI to 350 Carbe. Wiring?
Umm its a carb'ed engine, you only need like 9 wires to it Your stock car's wiring will work for most of it. The starter wiring is 100% the same. The TPIs starter wires will bolt right up too and work on your carb'ed engine Mostly you will be removing/un hooking most wires You have 3 wires to starter, 2 battery cables, 1 12 volt switched wire to the BATT term on hei dizzy, 1 oil pressure wire and 1 water temp wire, and 1 tach wire to the TACH term on hei dizzy
