- You have to detect and eradicate. The actual pee area might be greater than you think, or there might be more than one peed area. You need a UV flashlight to detect all of the pee areas. Be sure to do it in a dark room or at night with all the lights off. Prepare to get grossed out. Eradication requires more than deodorizing and actual destruction. Enzymatic cleaners are the trick. I use Urine Gone but others work too. Just look for enzymatic action on the package.

It's a dark brown color, so stains usually don't show that much, but it was a LOT of pee. I can not take the cushions off. I just tried blotting it up with towels and then ran my Kerby vaccum over it. It's still very wet and I don't know if it worked. Any suggestions?
- If your sofa is a true micro fiber than the liquid should just wipe off the surface. It seems that blotting should not be necessary. water/vinegar solution should work for the odor and steam can sanitize it. here is a link that describes how to care for a microfiber sofa. Good Luck

- No, you can't dye a microfiber sofa, but you can make slipcovers for it, or reupholster it with a darker fabric. There are several problems with trying to dye upholstered furniture. One is that dyeing synthetic microfiber requires that you boil it with a special kind of dye. You can't exactly boil the fabric that's on your sofa! Another problem is that excess dye must be rinsed out thoroughly; people who try dyeing upholstered furniture then find that the dye rubs off on the clothing of anyone unwise enough to sit on it. It is possible to use fabric paint, instead of dye, but it's a lot of trouble, and the fabric paint costs as much as having the sofa recovered. Fabric paint wears off very quickly compared to dye, since it sits on the surface of the fabric, so it's not a very long-term solution.
