Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded,selects high quality forged material,and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body.This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others,and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter,lighter and stronger.Besides,the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing,makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball.The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion,and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements.When plate adopted,the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium,but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve.The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium.This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves,and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used,and the cost is cut down.

As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring,set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded,which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat;When there is pressure generated from medium,the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference,thus the second seal forms.When the medium pressure is rising.It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

As the above graphic instruction,the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition,medium requirement,seal requirement,etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve,installed on the body,which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force.When secondary seal is required,there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring.The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball,and then stop the leakage.

Q:It's filling up a 5 gallon bucket roughly ever 9-10 hours. It was leaking with an old valve and has been replaced, and after being replaced it didn't stop. The temperature has not been adjusted higher or lower, it's exactly where it was for the year before the leak started. Any ideas?
Instructions : 1 Shut off the power to water heater. If electric, turn gas to pilot setting, if a gas water heater. Cut off water supply to water heater as well. 2 Drain the water from tank to just below relief valve. It is not necessary to drain the entire tank. Open a hot water faucet, drain tank from tank drain for approximately three to five minutes. 3 Prepare the new relief valve with Teflon tape. Remove the dip tube and any other connections to the relief valve. Check faucet to make sure water is not running. A slow drip is OK. 4Unscrew the relief valve counter-clockwise with a wrench to remove. Install the new relief valve. Install the dip tube with a compression fitting, if you had to cut it to remove earlier. Make all other connections. 5. Turn the water supply back on to water heater. Make sure water is running from the open faucet before turning the power back on.

Don't bother if you really don't need it (or don't know what it does). As cars get old, parts wear out and need to be adjusted. The valves open and close to let fuel in and exhaust gas out. unless you are suffering from some problem you don't need it. ==== I have 1994 Civic EX also. The good news is that the valves are very easy to access so the labor is cheap (no new parts unless the valves are really worn. good Luck P.S. My 94 Civic still runs like new and get great MPG. So if you get good MPG and have decent power, you don't need valve adjustment.
Q:Hi all,My 1995 nissan altima (122k on the odometer) stalled for a few minutes this morning. I noticed that one of the sparkplug holes ( where the cable from the distributer connects to the spark plug) is sorrounded by oil. I cleaned it out and it got filled with oil again. luckily for me, and by god's grace it somehow started normally and i drove home. I am sure its the valve gasket. There is not much oil leakage, the oil level is fine.I need to know if its going to damage my engine if I ignored the problem for 3-4days.Thanks.
that guy sleepydo DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT..........no it wont damage a thing ......just keep an eye on your oil level...and make sure it stays full.....just have youre valve cover replaced pretty soon...
Q:i have a yamaha trumpet. i got it brand new and it is 3 years old. I recently did drop it and i have a tiny dent on the last turn to the bell. after that they started sticking . There are no dents on the valves or casing surrounding them. i brought them to Quinlan and fabish and showed them the sticking they replaced the valves spring padding and the such. They also did an ultrasound cleaning i think it is called . they are still sticking. Please any think that you can suggest i showed my band teacher who suggested going to Quinlan and fabish. Then my trumpet teacher who said i need to oil more after the cleaning please help
Check that you are not putting sideways pressure on your valves when you press them downwards. Even on a good horn this sideways pressure can cause friction between the piston and the valve casing. Avoid this by arching your fingers a little, depressing with your finger's tips, and avoid the pinkie finger ring entirely. Tying your pinkie up in that only restricts your 3rd. finger's freedom of straight downward movement. Over- lubricating the valves can be as bad as too little oil. Do the whole warm bath treatment that you would normally do to clean it, add 3 drops to each valve, work horn for a few minutes, wipe valves with very old (washed heaps of times) t-shirt: then finally 2 drops again. If this doesn't work, get a trumpet specialist teacher to take it home for this treatment.(You might not be bathing it right). Failing that, check my web site's repair section. Good Luck!

It is complicated, you need a special tool and the shims to do it correctly. They don't adjust like the other bikes.....
Q:1998 Ford Crown Victoria LX 4.6L Use 89 Octane BP, Shell, Chevron gas. When the engine is under stress(acceleration or going up incline) the engine sounds like the valves are chattering. I can increase the rpm's and the chattering goes away. Had the same problem with 95 Thunderbird 4.6 and have heard other ford cars going down the road with this problem. Air leak? Don't really want to use higher octane due to gas prices and possible engine damage. Also, in the thunderbird, i used a bottle of octane boost and the next day a valve spring broke. Was the octane boost a possible cause?
it is not valve chatter, it is called Pinging, it is a fairly common problem, what it is caused by is hot spots in the engine, or by overly advanced spark timing, i would check your base timing, perhaps even back it off a degree or two, i would also run a bottle of marvel mystery oil, or gm top engine cleaner through a vacuum line to burn out the crud that has built up, the sum total of these repairs: about 15 bucks, the savings: your engine! as for your t-bird, it was the pinging that broke the valve spring, not the tank of hi octane. hope this helps

Its in a car engine but the fault is near the same. The good news is that in aircraft there are mostly multi-spring valve springs to help prevent the resonance problem that can happen with a single spring. (If one goes resonant, the other one doesn't.) I think what that means is that if you have valve spring surges in an aircraft engine, you probably have a broken spring or weak on the assembly. (just a guess but if they don't go resonant at the same time then how would you get the surge?) The affect, not good. Result - rough at a certain RPM or range of RPM even temp. related Feeling - rough
Q:Im replacing the valve stem seals and i dont know how to remove the springs and with the valve compressor wont fit in the engine
Do NOT do what banit said, if you did his technique once you remove the keepers the valve would drop to the bottom of the cylinder and require a tear down. You must get the piston be at top dead center on the cylinder you intend on removing the valve springs from and you cannot do any other valves besides the ones on the cylinder you brought to top dead center. You can take the rocker arm off the top and take the push rod out then when at top dead center using a spring compressor you can take the keepers out, or if you do not have a spring compressor (proceed at your own risk) you can get an oversized socket and a dead blow hammer and place the socket over the top of the valve spring with the octagonal side towards the spring and give it a decent hit, but be aware the keepers will pop out and you may lose them if you are not careful.
Q:My husband went to the doctor today, then called to say he won't be coming home because he has infective endocarditis. They sent him to another, larger, hospital in the region. Hours later he called and said that he needs surgery on the valve and they are moving him to another part of the country. I've been trying to read about it but I'm not sure I understand. What I've read says that they have to treat the infection with penicillin first, the he can have surgery. However, he's telling me he might have surgery when he get to the other hospital. He needs a new valve. Does this mean that his condition is worse than those I've read about or that they are simply doing things differently? Also, if you know. Does other illnesses make the risks much higher? He's got aspergillus in his lungs and have had 2/3 of the lungs removed. He has an immune deficiency (HIES) and he is physically weak from being sick. I know it's not good, but how bad is it?
There are risks in any surgery - no matter how major or minor. Overall health condition also plays an important role in his recovery. Being he has an infection which could be life-threatening, treating him and having him go through this procedure gives him more chance of survival. The doctors have weighed the pros and cons of him having this procedure and feel this is the best way to proceed. They will do their best to help and take care of him.

Shut down valves I've worked with haven't had an 'Air Flow' for their operation. For the smaller valves, they consist of diaphragm operated valves either held open or closed by pneumatic pressure. The air supply at 25psi to give a diaphragm holding pressure of 15 psi, is via a solenoid valve which dumps the air pressure to either open or close the valve depending upon its function. (That of isolating a system or relieving pressure). The solenoid is actuated by a signal from the shut-down system, and the valve is a 3-way unit which isolates the supply air and vents the pressure off the diaphragm. Other SDV's in my experience, are operated in a similar way but are much larger and are operated by a pneumatic air cylinder and piston with air supplied at 100 psi. Others encountered are ... MOV's...Motor Operated Valves that can be automatically operated from the shutdown system, or Operated Remotely from a safe distance (ROV's).
