Design Features of full welded forged steel ball valve

The body of ball valve is full welded,selects high quality forged material,and adopts the advanced forged forming technology to form two semi-spheres which are welded into a whole in the middle of the body.This welding technology differentiates the ball valve form others,and makes the valve more spherically,so the valve structure is more compacter,lighter and stronger.Besides,the middle direct welding realize highly accurate valve body manufacturing,makes fully and completely sealing between the seat and ball.The full welding instead of bolts completely avoids the outside leakage,so ball valve is the ideal product for under-ground,offshore working platform and under-sea equipments.

Adopting fixed plates or trunnion to support the ball

The top and bottom of the ball is supported by upper and lower fixed plates or stem and trunnion,and the ball is accurately placed in the center of the ball valve to achieve complete seals and precise movements.When plate adopted,the force exerted by the medium to the ball is distributed via the plate to the left and right bodies,so that the stem does not bear the blending moment from the medium,but only the torque from the ball rotation during the opening/closing of the valve.The low-friction PTFE Teflon composite bearings installed between the ball axis and fixed plate and between the stem and the trunnion can absorb ball moving action caused by the pressure of the medium.This structure brings stable actions and easy operations for the ball valves,and the required operation torque can be reduced,so smaller actuators can be used,and the cost is cut down.

As following graphic instruction,on seat bearing ring,set two soft sealing rings(A and B)and metal sealing spherical surface which can seal with the ball.Seat ring A is spring loaded,which seals the surface with the ball tightly to the surface to form an initial seat;When there is pressure generated from medium,the piston force is generated to make seal ring A elastically deformed and seal ring B fit the surface of the ball surface due to the piston effect caused by area difference,thus the second seal forms.When the medium pressure is rising.It will generate huge pressure to seal ring A and seal ring B,so the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,then metal seal ball surface compact with ball surface to form the third level of metal to metal seal.

As the above graphic instruction,the secondary seal device(seat grease injection valve)can be chosen according to the actual working condition,medium requirement,seal requirement,etc.Seat ring grease injection valve is a one-way valve,installed on the body,which can prevent the leakage and inject grease under the outside force.When secondary seal is required,there is a grease injecting channel and hole on the seat ring.The grease can form a seal between the seat and the ball,and then stop the leakage.

It depends on whether you have a presta or schraeder valve. If a schraeder valve, you can buy a bag of them with a remover from an auto parts store for about $3.00 or so. If a presta valve, most of those cannot be replaced so it is new tube time. Are you sure it is a valve? Many times a puncture in the tube will leak through the valve hole AROUND the valve making it seem like a valve.
Q:We live in a four story sixteen unity apartment building. There are two radiators in our apartment. The on in the living room is large and we can't turn it on with out water coming out of the little valve on the end, which I am assuming is there to release excess pressure. It doesn't matter if we leave it on for an hour or two days—water still comes out. It has warped the wood below it.How can I stop this? I would really like to have heat on both sides of my apartment.Thanks!

Yes, electric valves are set on the Mainline which is under pressure. Usually in a loop around the home with the valves set where the zone starts. Some are designed to have a short mainline with the valves set in a large box next to a vacuum breaker. All valves need wires that run from the clock. Sorbet can be found with a metal detector if you simply can't find them. You can also set them to go off manually time delayed a few minutes, enough to go listen to hear the valve opening.
Q:Ive been tolding one or more of my valves is/are knocking, how can I fix this. Detail would be great, this is for a F0RD 460, from a 90. I was wondering if I can just buy some used heads(not sure if this comes with these things called valves, haha)but I can pick up some 460 heads, for pretty cheap.. on those and do a full swap, since mine is from 90 i dont know if year would matter. So how can I fix knocking valves., thanks
valves dont knock they tap and generally all you have to do is adjust the valve lash, but you may need new valve springs if those heads have alot of miles or were abused.
Q:Is there a product that can fit over a foot valve to give it further protection in muddy water? I am looking for something for forest firefighting in mind. Something like a screen box something else that can give it further protection. It would be nice if it was small, and compact. Pictures would definitely be an asset. Thanks to everyone that answers. most foot valves i have bought come with a strainer attached perhaps you should look for that type. if your valve has a strainer you may consider making a further coarse strainer out of a ball of chicken wire and place this over the foot valve assembly(thats what i do for the cold water supply to my house) don't compress the chicken wire very small as it will block up i tie the wire filter on with galvanized wire then i can easily replace it if necessary ps i tried stainless steel pot scourers but they were to fine and blocked easily
Q:I am going to replace the EGR valve on my 99 Pontiac GP with the 3.8. It needs replacing(has already been cleaned twice) and keeps popping the code for it. Anyways..my question is: after its replaced what do I need to do to reset the codes or computer? Someone told me to unhook the battery for a hour and that will do it???? Is this true? Make sure you have the radio unlock code before disconnecting the battery or you'll have to get it for the radio to work again if it locks up from disconnecting the battery. Most times, you can just pull the ECM fuse instead of disconnecting the battery. Or take it to Autozone and they can reset it for you. Call first to find out.
Q:Hey,I have a 1/2 diameter pipe and I want to place a valve on it. I need a valve that can be electronically controlled so the water flow can be started and stopped on demand. I plan to achieve this by connecting the valve to a 'relay' that will be connected to an ardunio or PIC that will programmed to determine when the water is to flow or stop. That make sense? So my question does anyone know a suitable type of valve? I've no experience with valves and there are so many types so I don't know where to start!I would be grateful for any suggestions :)Thanks!
Your application is very do-able. ASCO makes a valve that would work for your application. A few used ones can be found on Ebay. A few thoughts: 1) The normal fitting that you would need for the mechanical connection is 1/2 NPT (National Pipe Thread). That is a very common thread in the US. If you have a PVC pipe, you would have to get a fitting to convert 1/2NPT fitting to smooth PVC. If you have a steel pipe, then it has to be threaded for 1/2 NPT. If it is copper, you may have to get a smooth ASCO valve and solder it together. Use teflon tape or pipe dope to make sure that it doesn't leak. 2) Be very careful of your voltage and current. Your relay coil should be a voltage and current draw that will not be too much for the ardunio or PIC output. Also, the relay contact should be able to provide enough current and voltage to run the ASCO valve. BE CAREFUL. ASCO valves have a lot of inrush current, which means that it draws a lot more power to activate that it would be to hold it. Your relay should be sized for the worst case. For example, if the ASCO valve is rated for 120 volts ac (VAC) and is rated at 240VA inrush and 12VA holding, that means that it requires 2 amps to pull it in (240/120) and .1 amps to hold it (12/120). The contacts of your relay should then be rated for at least 120VAC and 2 amps.

Q:What is the best procedure to check/adjust valve clearances? This engine is a perkins diesel inside of a cat generator. I know that he exhaust valve is .018 and the intake valve is .008.
take off the valve cover(s) and your will see the valves. you will need to turn the crank so it will be top dead center(there should be a mark on the crank and a mark on the engine for checking the clearances. then whatever ever cylinder you are checking the vavles on are top dead center, use the feeler guage and make your adjustments.
Q:I want to wash it but don't know what to oil the valves with because I was told not to use mellophone/trumpet valve oil so would the sewing machine oil be okay to use with out damaging me Horn?I not any other safe substitutions?
If you have a Walmart nearby you are in good shape. Sewing machine oil is too thick for the valves, it will slow them down....... not damage the horn. Mot on this oil later, A great replacement for rotor oil is lantern oil from Walmart or a hardware store. It is what is burned in old type oil lamps. It comes in quarts and is very cheap. You can also get different aromas in some stores. Sewing machine oil should NOT be used inside the valves....... but it is recommended for the little crack where the moving part of the valve comes out of the bottom of the valve case. It is also what you can use on the top of the valve under the valve cap. So rotor oil INSIDE THE VALVE and Sewing machine oil on the top and bottom bearings.
