FAQ
1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

2. What is the MOQ for this tile?
—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

- Q:Do I start in the middle like normal tile? What happens if I don‘t start in the middle due to the uneven wall?
- Peel and stick tile can be good depending on the surface your sticking it to. The last time I did peel and stick I had an old basement floor with tile that was 40 years old. I cleaned all the old tile, sealed it and the peal and stick tile worked great! One thing about peel and stick tile is that its vinal and will Sink into any inperfections in the floor several weeks after its initially put down. For example, lets say you go over an old tile floor and there is a small gap between the old tiles. The floor will look great when you install it, but in several weeks the gap in the old tiles will start to show. Also if your installing it on plywood, make sure the floor does not move when you walk accross it. If the floor moves in any way, the tiles will start to come up or crack. As far as where to start, its more of a visual thing. Just lay the tiles out first and do a little measuring so when you get to a wall you don't have a tile that is 2 inches or looks out of place
- Q:I want to install tile over laminate. How do I do this?
- Do not lay Ceramic tile over the laminatee floor, you must remove the laminat and get to the sub-floor and remove it then put down sheets of durarock on the floor joist. If you are laying it on a concrete floor you must still pull the laminate up and have a clean level surface so the mortar will bond. If you don't remove the laminatee your tile will float on the laminat. Hope this helps.
- Q:My husband and I bought a house where most of the rooms (kitchen, dining room, entertainment room, den, and laundry room) are all tiled with these Terra cotta like tiles. They are a southern type rusty red and stain easily. My husband loves the tiles and wants to keep them. He‘s concented on changing the color if I want though, as long as I keep the origional tile. I‘m trying to make the house look a bit more elegant/country (Blues, silvers, whites, golds, dark greens, etc. Elegant and formal but still bright and airy) While keeping the tile, is there any way to stain it another color and do some kind of glossy seal? What color might keep that feel? What kind of products work best?
- Painting the tile is a horrible idea, Your husband doesn't love the tile he loves the money hes not spending. Do it right or don't do it at all, if you paint the tile you will have created a real downer at the time of resale, that will have to be given an allowance to replace Carpet, area rugs or replace it
- Q:I had new stone tile laid in my bathroom. 18 x 18 pieces, diagonally laid. One piece by the edge must have been stepped on by one of the tile layers as they were leaving and it got pushed down, so it‘s not level with the rest of the tiles by a small fraction. Its not noticeable if you walk on it with shoes, but if you walk on it barefoot or if you get down and feel it with your hands, there is clearly a noticeable difference. The flooring company refuses to come back and fix it claiming I did it. The piece is on the edge butting up against carpet from the bedroom. Is there any way I can make this tile level myself to avoid the hassle of trying to sue or file complaints against the flooring company? Maybe cut out that one piece without damaging and just put a new layer of the cement underneath it? I don‘t know. I‘ve never done tiling before.
- I assume it's ceramic tiles, not vinyl? It's probably the wood subfloor or wood tile underlayment, you can use some wood screws underneath the floor to tighten the plywood to the floor joists. Of course, that might mean opening up the ceiling below, but that's probably easier to patch than the tile floor. Or, you remove some of the tile grout, and screw into the joist from above, then re-grout. That could be tricky- you need to know exactly where the floor joists are.
- Q:My family and i are thinking about replacing our floor tile this year and putting in something nice. How difficult is it to take out the old tile. What would I do with the tile once it is pulled up? Order a construction dumpster? And do we have to pull up the base board?I have seen it done on DIY network, doesn‘t look that difficult and seems like we could save money. And any suggestions on good looking tile that we could get cheap, maybe an outlet store. What‘s the difficulty level: beginner, intermediate or expert.
- If you do not plan on replacing the old baseboard with new, then you should gently remove it using a small pry bar and mallet. If you can't find the pry bar, a flat head screwdriver works alright.. Once you have pulled it away from the wall you might need to remove the nails to get it off without damage. If your tile has been on there since the beginning of time, you might have a little trouble removing it as back then the mastic used was quite different then what is used now. It really stuck! I am guessing you are talking about ceramic and not linoleum or vinyl tile. You can get a long handled scraper at just about any hardware store and they don't cost that much. That will save you allot of time. If you do not plan on saving the tiles, a 8 lb . sledge hammer will do the job of loosening the tiles from the floor but please make sure you wear eye protection. Then just scrape them up as you go along. If your tiles are the vinyl ,peel stick, or linoleum a good hot hair dryer works to soften the adhesive allowing you to scrape up the tiles. I'm sure a professional would recommend a heat gun though. I have removed and replaced both types and just to let you know it is not a easy or fun job. Wear rubber gloves if you can and keep a bottle of baby oil close by just in case you get the mastic on your hands.
- Q:the third tile. All three tiles types have the same side length. Determine the shape of the third tile type.
- Where 3 tiles meet, they must add up to a full 360°. The formula for the interior angle of a regular n-sided polygon is: ((n - 2)*180) / n Plugging in n=4, the interior angle of a square is 90° Plugging in n=5, the angle of a pentagon is 108° The angle of the third tile is x and the 3 angles must add up to a full 360°: 90 + 108 + x = 360 Solve for x: x = 360 - 198 x = 162 Plug that into the original equation and solve for n: ((n - 2) * 180) / n = 162 (n-2) * 180 = 162n n - 2 = (162/180)n n - (162/180)n = 2 (18/180)n = 2 (1/10)n = 2 n = 2 * 10 n = 20 So the third tile must be from a regular icosagon (20-sided polygon) Answer: Regular icosagon; see the picture below.
- Q:I was watching HGTV and they had this tile that was flexible. It looked like alot of small square tile mounted to a flexible backing. Does anyone know the name of these? Thanks
- It IS mosaic tile. The reason it was flexible is that it was not set into a cement type substance on the wall. When it's installed it is no longer flexible
- Q:What is the use of ceramic tile?
- 2, de-alcoholated TC: curing shrinkage is small, water immersion off small, most of the substrate without corrosion; on the fluorocarbon profiles, steel and white marble, poor adhesion; at high temperatures, due to the reaction rate Fast, resulting in the formation of alcoholic small molecules can not be volatile in time, and the formation of bubbles affect the construction quality. Deoxime type TW: good adhesion can be in the appropriate high temperature construction, will not produce bubbles; copper and mirror industry with micro-rot. And shrinkage than alcohol type. Use restrictions: non-structural adhesive prohibited for use in structural assembly; Should not be used for oozing grease, plasticizer or other solvent building materials surface; should not be used for frost or wet surface, long buried in the underground or long-term immersion occasions; should not be used for paint the surface may be due to paint cracking or Peeling off caused by sealing failure; should not be used for direct contact with food or vulnerable to mechanical wear; not suitable for building materials, surface temperature below 4 ℃ or higher than 40 ℃ when the construction. 3, deacidification type: acid glue should not be used for cement, stone, Because the acid to produce acetic acid curing, and cement, stone and other alkaline materials on the surface reaction to form a chalk-like material, and cause off; substrate expansion coefficient is larger, with displacement or vibration, plastic construction (1) high temperature sizing, high temperature curing; curing speed too fast, the use of high-temperature, high-temperature curing, (2) sizing too thin, less than 6 mm; (3) foam rod (bar) damage caused by foaming (opening), the release of methanol from the colloid in the rate of bleeding, so that the gasification of methanol after the gasification; Type foam); there is water; foam material is incompatible, chemical reaction; (4) sizing irregular, repeated scratched.
- Q:Also, formica or tile for a countertop???
- Porcelain is much better quality. The design goes through and though, not just a glaze on top like ceramic. I love tile, but granite is beautiful. I have formica and I like it but don't love it.
- Q:The tile in our master bathroom is really ugly, but my husband likes the acual tiles themselves. The house was built in 1978 and the colors show bigtime. My question is this; can I paint the tiles a different color or am I just stuck with really ugly tiles until get a ton of money? If I were able to, how would I do this? Thanks in advance!
- about the only option is re glazing the tile but not worth it in the long run. tear em out and install new.
