Q:Laying ceramic tile on old wood subfloor?
Cut okorder.com/
Q:How to install ceramic tiles in the kitchen?
I've been working construction with my father since I was 5. You will need, the little plastic x's that are spacers, compound, tiles (obviously), water a sponge and optional a straight line lazer, a spatula and a long spatula with teeth, and a tile cutter, and measuring tape. First, put up the lazer to form the straight line where you want it. Next mix the compound with the amount of water you need, read the instructions on the back. Apply the mixture to the wall with the spatula, next put up the tile and if needed measure and cut the tiles to how you need them in order to fit. use the plastic x's as spacers to have them equally spaced out. after you have put up all the tiles wait at least 30 minutes to an hour for the compound to dry then with the grout of your choice apply it to the tiles and get them in between the cracks good. let it dry and then with the sponge wet it and clean the tiles so that it looks nice and thats all.
Q:i have just put down adhesive floor tiles in my bathroom?
positively, yes, I am aware of the consequences if you don't, from personal experience
Q:does anybody know anything about laying ceramic tile?
You did not say how big the bathroom was and that is important in deciding what size tile to use... You said layng ceramic tile... you did not say if it was ON the floor or ON the wall behind the vanity top and that makes a difference. I would love to answer as I have just completed another job in my bathroom this week ... but I just do not have enough information from you
Q:Slate tile without grout?
Well i am going to dis agree for the fireplace i have seen marble with no grouting and the visual you gave me if its uniform slate such as squares or rectangles or a combo of both yes that would be breath takingly pretty. if its random odd shape the yes do grout. if i was doing a floor i would grout for fear of cutting my foot on an edge but then i most likely would come up with something new and contemporary.
Q:Slate tiling, grouting and sealing.?
Yikes! in case you seal the tile till now you grout, you will have bonding issues, grout to tile. you're able to desire to alter the feel of the floor of the grout to be helpful. The invisible, penetrating sealers won't comfortable out the grout floor, it incredibly is a prerequisite for protecting it sparkling. make certain you have a sufficiant coat to be helpful. as some distance by using fact the kind is going, ask your tile corporation who lays the main tile interior the section. That installer provides you with the final tip on your grout sealer.
Q:Tiles 1 open 2 What does it mean ah?
Is the brick symmetrical cut into two, generally on the wall effect is very good
Q:cheap way to redo a tiled bathroom?
You might try tile tattoos. They are easy to install and make your own pattern. Here's where I got mine.
Q:Tile Floor help?
I wouldn't bother doing it. You could get a sealer the seal the tile because I think I remember my dad saying Terra Cotta tiles are very porous. But I don't think that trying to put paint or changing its color would give you satisfactory results.
Q:Porcelain tile cleaning help, please...?
I am going to assume that the grout has been sealed. If your tile installer did not seal the grout you should demand he come back and finish the job. It is a must. After the grout has been sealed, any type of cleaner that has any type of acid in it will strip out the sealer. Your tile and grout will be clean of everything including sealer. Which means you will have to do it again. So, first off I use and recommend StoneTech Professional Impregnator Pro. Some sealers sit on the surface of the grout and are apt to peel off. Impregnators actually penetrate the grout and seal it from within. Second, I use and recommend StoneTech Professional All Purpose Stone and Tile Cleaner. It operates like any other cleaner. Dilute it in warm water as per instructions and it both cleans the tile and grout and will not interfere with the sealer. To keep up with the sealing, I believe StoneTech recommends re-sealing every 3-5 years. This is purely a guideline. You'll know it's time to re-seal when, as your mopping or getting out of the shower and the floor gets wet, the grout will change color. This means that the sealer has worn out and the grout is getting wet.
