Yes fox is edible... but save the brain. Tanning a hide is a skill that requires practice. I can tell you how but I suggest practicing on something you don't plan to have every guest at your house have a look at. Also some sewing skill would be needed to mend the two rugs together, and foxes aren't large animals so more than one will almost definitely be needed. To tan a hide: Skin the animal at the leg and stretch the skin out very taunt. You will need a tool for scraping ( something sharp but rounded enough not to tear the hide). While the hide is stretched, scrap of the epidermis of the skin with your tool (on the side without fur obviously). Its important to keep the hide wet during this process. Keep a bucket of water nearby to wet it down with. After the hide dries from anywhere from a day or a week (still stretched) untie it and cut it to the size you need it. Now rinse it in a mixture of a half - a whole gallon of water and the foxes own brains (yes, the brains). Rinse, wring it out, rinse again. Over and over and over until your tired. Next stretch the skin out some. Give it a tug with a partner to loosen it up. Then you have to smoke the skin with a dark smoke (most likely from old rotten wood). This will cause the white skin to tan (hence, tanning the hide). Tan the fir side as well but no where near as much as the inside of the skin. Once its a golden brown you can sew it onto your first rug. Whew lol. This is just the general jist of tanning a hide. There are many other methods that I don't know about. I think to sell your carpet, you should show rooms with ambiance that does justice to your carpet. Like for example, traditional carpets look great in family rooms, formal dining rooms as well as living rooms. I don't know what your carpet looks like but I think I can already tell it is a great one for a living room where guests come or formal dining if the size is large. It should show how durable the carpet is and how it is any different from carpets being sold on the market. What comparative advantage do you have over other carpet sellers? Whom would it benefit and why should someone buy your carpets?

Q:My cousin spilled nail polish all over the carpet! How can we get it off the carpet and wall?

Often nail polish on carpet is just on the very tips of the fibers. If this is the case you can just snip the polish off with sharp scissors. Just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to do just one or two fibers at a time...not a whole clump. This will work unless you have used nail polish remover and worked the nail polish deeper into the carpet. Good luck. -

I have a Bissel Proheat carpet steamer and it works very well. It uses hot water and has a built-in heater to keep the water hot. By the combination of a good sale and Rewards coupons, I got for it around $100 at Best Buy. It was a great investment, one I definitely do not regret. If your carpet is light beige and very dirty, it might take extra effort to clean it the first time (spot treating, going over the same area more than once, etc.), but after that you can simply use your steam cleaner once a month or so for maintenance. Local carpet stores don t have access to a rug binder? Thats strange.. Look further, when I had my store we had a place that picked up and dropped off our carpet we needed to have bound or surged..It was a week turn around time for us. But to answer you question yes you can have a pc done any size , shape or form. Some additional options are a felt backing sewn on as an anti slip mat.Surging ran our custumers about 2.5 $ a l/f. and binding was $2.00 a l/f.. Of course this can vary but it ll put you in the ballpark , price wise.. Some carpet guys have a binding machine to bind edges for when they do a carpet base like a lot of hotels use instead of a wood base.Any flooring questions you can e mail me through my avatar.. GL.

I have successfully replaced carpet at far below retail quotes by purchasing what is called seconds. Depending upon your location, look for a carpet store in your area that is the largest wholesale store. Call them and express your need to obtain x sq ft of carpet at the lowest possible price. If you get an invitation to come look and see what they have that will sell in your price point. Go, they are in possession of at least a few choices for you. I don't know the sq ft of your home, so I have no idea if 2K is just a dream or could be a reality. Best of luck

Well you do have a problem. A sarcastic answer would be to show the cat the business end of a 9mm but that probably wouldn't go over very well. You have a dominance issue. The younger cat is marking all the territory it can, at this point the bathroom rug, and will gradually begin moving to other places the older cat has been. Even if the older cat hasn't marked, the scent will be there and marking will probably happen. I don't think there is anything you can do about this other than remove one of the cats and I suggest the younger one. Second solution. Just in case it is just the odor of the rug, go to the pet store and ask for an enzyme based odor remover. There are many brands and if I name one it might not be available in your area but they are all essentially the same and work very well. You don't need a lot and it may be available in a spray bottle. Take the rug outside and spray it liberally on both sides, particularly where the cat has peed. I'd add a little water on those spots first. Brush the rug to work the deodorizer in and let it air. About a half hour later, do it again just to be safe. If the cat continues to mark it after that, the first solution applies.

Q:I recently threw up over a large area of my carpet. I have already removed the vomit but now I must remove the smell. I have used a mixture of vinegar,water,and soap, this seems to be working but I then used a pet odor remover to finish the job. I plan on vacuuming cleaning and adding the carpet foam and baking soda over the area. Should I do that? Do u guys have any suggestions to remove the vomit smell from the carpet? Thank you.

Stores sell kind of a rubbery,mat that lays under throw and area rugs. It is made to keep them from moving around and its not sticky so it won't hurt the carpet underneath.

Nail polish remover. The usage is similar to alcohol acetone. The effect is also good. Washing water does not require quality, good or general, as long as you can wash off all nail polish.
