Q:Hi! I want to buy I new Hard Drive but I've got a problem. I have the IDE conector but I don't have the Power Cable. It is connected to my Video Card. Can I add a new one? Can I use a power cable from a optical drive(CD/DVD)? Thanks!
All you need to do is pop down to your local computer store and get a power splitter, just make sure you get the right type, IDE and SATA drives have a different kind of power connector, so just make 100% sure before you buy!
Q:I want to turn on my PC but my power cable was missing so i got a new one. A small sheet on the PC's power cable input hole says quot;230 V Rated voltagebut the new power cable fork has some characteristics written on it like EL - 202 / 10-16 / 250 quot;. So I'm afraid that 250 stands for Voltage so the power cable voltage is different from pc's rated voltage. I live in europe and we have 220V here from the power supply. Can I use this power cable or will it mess up my pc ? It's quite a quick issue that I need help with. Many thanks to everyone who can reply quickly. Cheers ;)
The cable seems to be rated higher than your input voltage so you should be okay.
Q:There have been severe storms in my country Kenya and power lines have fallen and caused a lot of injuries, some fatal to pedestrians, motorists and others.I am sure if power lines were covered with rubber sheathing or some other apopropriatde material, there would be less likelihood of electrocution, serious injury, fire or property damage. I am a lay person in these matters so I am talking from what I have seen. Thanks in advance.
One small addition to what has been said above, and that seem to have been forgotten: When a power cable breaks and falls to the ground, it acts exactly like a whip! It does not matter if it were covered with feathers, the simple whipping force would STILL cut a car in two... (I have seen a cable cutting a HOUSE in two!)
Q:I have dell optiplex 755 @ Q6600I bought a new graphic card, HD4850it requires 2 IDE power connections, but my computer has just SATA connections.I saw sata-to-ide converter in the internet, but in my country there isn't any store that sells it.What should I do ?
are okorder /.... Look at the second to last picture, the small black 6pin connector next to the copper heatsink is what you need to use. I'm guessing that in thebox you got a 4pin molex y splitter to use in case you don't have a 6pin connector from your power supply. Put the 4 pin y splitter back in the box and look for a lead coming from the power supply that has the matching 6pin. Dell's have used the 6pin connector for a while.
Q:I have a hp laptop from south asia. The adapter connects with the laptop and the power cable. The power cable has a 3 round pin plug which says 6A 240V~. On the hp adapter for the input it says: 100-240V~ 1.6A 5-60Hz. It also says Connect Only to Grounded outlets. Now I am in canada. All i know is that here they have 120 V in normal power plugs. Also they have 1 round and 2 rectangular pins to plug in the outlet.I bought this adapter which basically connects the 3 round pin plug into the adapter and the adapter has 3 canadian pins. The thing is that it says 250V 10A on the adapter. So I am not sure if it will hurt my laptop if I use it. I am a bit confused because Canada has 120V and the adapter accepts 250V. The HP adapter has a range from 100-240V. Will this be ok to use since the HP adapter will just convert the 120V into the proper output for the laptop or do I need one the expensice Voltage converters for the laptop?
It is fine, your power cable has a power rating of 6A @ 240V and your hp adapter can handle an input of 100-240V~ 1.6A 50-60Hz right? Then, you bought an adapter which has 10A 250V capacity and it is no problem handling your cable and hp adapter which has a lower power requirement. And also, the most important, in your area, the supply is 120V and your hp can handle from 100-240V and your adapter up to 250V, so there is nothing to worry about, as long as the supply voltage is lower than of the required of your hp, mind it if your supply voltage is 240V and your hp says it handles 120V for it will burn your adapter..............
Q:Two weeks ago, my 1 yr 19 lcd monitor began to flicker? Why? The power cord and usb cable are secure?
Its possible that the graphics card or the monitor itself are malfunctioning. Try plugging the monitor into another machine to test it. Its also possible the VGA/DVI cable is bad and that is causing the flicker.
Q:10KV power cable can be with 380v low voltage power cable co-laying which specification which article description more
This is mainly to see the tube with a wire, or directly laying in the wall. If the pipe is used BV-type single-layer insulated wire, because it is not required to wear pipe jacket. Such as the direct laying in the wall with BVVB type wire (two wire core, insulation plus jacket) is better, the sheath can protect the wire from external damage.
Q:So this is on my brothers christmas list and I can't find one anywhere. I'm assuming that computers don't have the juice to power a 1TB external without a power source, especially since he needs this for a laptop. He just wants it USB powered, btw.If anyone can find one for me that would be great, because I can't seem to...Thanks!
USB okorder / It's the only one I'm finding, and it seems to meet the specifications you're looking for. Also, USB powered. I don't recommend usb-only powered drives, but it's a free country. :-) -Matt
Q:...suction cup mount? There is a port on the side of the device that the vehicle power cable fits into, but the manual says the vehicle power cable is designed to plug into the suction cup mount. What happens if I plug the vehicle power cable directly into the gps unit? Does the unit operate, but not charge? Does it not operate at all? Does it operate and charge? Before trying it, I'd like to know so I don't harm the device.
Garmin makes a couple of power cords that go from one GPS to the other. Read the instruction manual, if it says a power cord plugs in there it will work. It will not recharge unless you have Ni-Cad rechargable batteries. Garmin is an excellent unit and you can moved saved info from other Garmins on your computer to your new one usually.
Q:I have an ASUS G1SN-X1 and my laptop was working normally while plugged in. Then all of a sudden it stopped charging the battery. After it stopped charging the laptop was running off the remaining battery power. The battery eventually runs out of juice but now i can't turn on my laptop because the power cord won't charge even though the power indicator light is on on the power cord supply. I even took out the battery and just left it plugged in but still wouldn't turn on. Any suggestions on what the problem could be and how to solve it?
it is that your battery isn't longer wanting to settle for the electrical powered energy for that's wiped out, which my a be somewhat pricy to replace the battery as I easily have had a similar concern. i will additionally be that the chargers are to previous or dont have an vehicle shrink of which could be inflicting the severe warmth. additionally, while you're constintly leaving your laptop left charging, it could harm your battery and the charger. ultimately, the plug which works into your computing gadget to cost it is going to a hollow in it, on the computing gadget the place the charger may well be inserted, the could be a pin, if it is harm it is inflicting the shortcoming of conectivety of electric energy.
