Q:Now a lot of people with rock wool ceiling, rock wool ceiling what is special?
Easy installation: excellent sound grams ceiling can be fast, easy to install in place. Due to the lighter weight, easy handling and transportation, the product will not produce dust when cutting and installing, so it will not affect the health of the installer. After installation, the ceiling surface can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or a wet cloth. When using this ceiling, you can also access the various facilities that are hidden behind the ceiling panel, such as HVAC equipment.
Q:Renovation of living room wall with steel bricks
In the case of wet paste can hit the drill drill, no problem. And then safe point is to buy a glass drill on it. Then there is no problem.
Q:I'm finishing my basement in a newer home (built in 2005). The main level floor / basement ceiling is built with I-joists 16 OC. The main level is mainly hardwood floor, and I plan to have a home theater in the basement. I'd like to cut down on the noise from the hardwood floor above (walking in shoes is very loud!) and noise from the theater from coming upstairs. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? I was thinking spray foam would be perfect, but man is that stuff expensive. Any other best bet suggestions? Thanks!
Use 16 R-19 unfaced fiberglass batts to insulate between the joist. There is a product called Z channel that attaches to the bottom of the floor joist, and holds the wallboard off of the joist. I've seen this used many times in home theaters with great effect.
Q:Do the glass fiber composite material be bad for the human body?
Centrifugal glass wool internal fiber fluffy staggered, there are a large number of tiny pores, is a typical porous sound-absorbing material, with good sound absorption characteristics. Centrifugal glass wool can be made of wall panels, ceilings, space sound absorbers, etc., can absorb a lot of room sound energy, reduce reverberation time, reduce indoor noise.
Q:Cast-in-place floor (ceiling position) Reinforcement protective layer is not enough, local steel exposed. I intend to use epoxy resin mortar
I have dealt with a variety of cracks blocked, fill, closed. And epoxy mortar of the prestressed anchor head and structural reinforcement. Specification of epoxy coated steel bars, the anchorage length should be increased, the correction factor is 1.25 see GB50010-2017. Can be seen that the surface is more smooth and easy to erosion.
Q:I live in the basement and the tiles in my drop ceiling are so annoying there the normal whatever material they are and i have dark carpeting and i guess our house sucks because I have to vacuum all the time because ill look down and there will be white specks all over the floor which im guessing is coming from the tiles from when people walk upstairs. So i want to replace them with a material that wont do that.
hopefully they are the drop in tiles. if that's the case you can replace them with tiles that are fiberglass plastic coated tiles from home depot or lowe's. i have been using that type of tile in EVERY room in my house. some of them are over 35 years old and are still in place. you can take them down and wash the and scrub them clean using 409 Formula. they' re lightweight and water wont hurt them unlike the cardboard kind that when get wet they stain. they only come in a few designs but are usually all acceptable. hey come in sheets of 2 X 4 that can then be cut easily to any size smaller than that. all my room are done in 2X2's. remember this is for dropped ceilings only. you ned about 4 inches between the real ceiling and the drop ceiling to be able to put the new tiles in. you need to figure out the square feet of the rooms ceiling . let's pretend it's a 10 X 10 room, that would equal 10 times 10 which would be 100 square feet of tile. good luck to ya.
Q:I want to have an illusion in my room that looks like a car falling thorught the roof. You would look up and just see, maybe the front corner of the car. It is proably hard to think of this but this is something I really want to do but have no place to look for help. Please let me know if you have any sugestions.- Amber K
I am certain that you have thought about the ceiling height in your room (can I guess 8'), and how much lower the car would need to be to create the illusion. I'm also certain that you have considered how much dead weight the ceiling has been engineered to carry. Perhaps you will need to consider a plastic or fiberglass replica.
Q:We are rennovating my basement. There was a drop ceiling and thin paneling on the walls. I took out the drop ceiling and the paneling. The main goal is to get an efficient way to heat the space. The house has radiator heating so I figured we could use the heat from the pipes as the main heating source. We will put in a new drop ceiling that stays above the pipes (exposing the pipes will heat the space). What kind of insulation is recommended for the new drop ceiling to keep the heat in? I was recommended either fiberglass or foam insulation. The framing on the walls is good and I would like to reuse. What type of insulation on the walls? We will be drywalling them. Once again, I was recommended fiberglass but to put a plastic barrier between the wall and insulation. What do you think?I am open to any suggestions. Thanks!
For the walls use fiberglass kraft faced(paper on one side) and no plastic or unfaced insulation with plastic. R-11 or R-13 for 2x4 walls. For the ceiling, I wouldn't bother with it. Instead add a radiator to the basement area and add a new pump and thermostat to create a new zone. Otherwise the basement would only be heated when some other area of the house needs more heat, this usually makes the basement too cold or too hot.
Q:I'm trying to hang something heavy from my ceiling and I can't find a joist through the drywall. I've tried using a studfinder, and I can't really get into the attic area because it's insulated with loose fiberglass. Can anyone help?
There are many stud finders which will work but in their absence, you can tap along the ceiling and get a pretty good idea by the sound changes. where the joist is will sound considerably more solid. If you have a popcorn ceiling, you can use a very fine nail to locate the exact edge.
Q:How much do you want to do with noise equipment?
The two woods to the ears of a plug (insert deep point) package you have a good sound insulation Or free Oh ~ ~
