Product Advantages:

(1)Incombustibility/Non-flammability: Consmos Calcium silicate board is non-flammable and conforms to the national grade A standard (GB8624 Grade A) with excellent fire resistance property. In case of fire, the board will not burn and not give off toxic smoke.

(2)Thermal/heat insulation: Owing to low heat conductivity, the product has good performances on keeping warm and heat insulation.

(3)Water-proofing and moistureproof: The product is allowed to long-term exposure to moist environment but still very stable. The board still keeps intact after being soaked in water for one month, the phenomenon of swelling and out of shape will not happen. It has good adjusting mechanics like woods. Even it is used on wash house.

(4)Endurance/durability: Consmos Calcium silicate board provides good insulation against bugs, fungus and corrosion. It can last for a long time and will not corrode.

Main Product Features:

(5)Noise-proofing: Consmos Calcium silicate board provides good insulation against noise.

(6)High-Strength and Light weight: The board is light weight, in this case, it can decrease weight of building greatly. At the same time, the material is high-stength and not easy to be damaged.

(7)Easiness to installation: The construction process does not require complicated tools but just the ones used in regular wood construction. Our board can be fixed on light steel frame with self-attachable screws or a glue gun to nail the bolts into the wooden frame.

(8)Environmental protection: Consmos Calcium silicate board is 100% free of asbestos fiber and will not cause any harm to human body or the environment.

Q:The doors of a cement cabinet can not be mounted directly on a cement board
In the construction of cement cabinets, because my home is made of two tiles folder structure, in order to facilitate the construction of carpenters, we must remember the center of the tile in the folder, otherwise, the door can not be fixed.
Q:Can I use plaster behind the kitchen {back splash tiles} for wall placement? RE:?
It okorder.com You should be just fine!
Q:what does this mean second phase in two phases material ( first phase is binding cement ) ?
First consider the term 'phase' as in 'phase change', such as ice melting. It means a particular state of matter, solid or liquid in the melting of ice. However, in an inhomogenous solid material you can have two or more solid phases. For instance, Transite insulation board was made of portland cement and asbestos [not in use much nowadays]. So what you have is some two phase inhomogenous solid consisting of one phase as binder or cement, and the other phase could be a filler, a fiber, or whatever.
Q:High fiber cement board
Now talk about the shortcomings of high-density cement fiber board products, the biggest deformation, deformation is a major feature of this product, especially high-density cement board deformation is very large, this product is not suitable for large-scale external walls, not suitable for large area for Wall, after years of product research and customer reflection to prove this point.
Q:Do you need to finish a cement board for a shower like you would if it were drywall?
Or since you already are going to have thin-set.... Use mesh tape and mud the tape in with thin-set....same thing.... works just as well. The primary reason for taping and mudding the joints is keeping moisture OUT its not a leveling out or cosmetic issue like drywall, make it flush and cover the tape with material and your ready to tile. DO NOT USE reg drywall mud it is not for wet applications.....
Q:I have cement block walls.. how do I prepare them for glass mosaic tiles?
You don t need a backer board.. As long as the block is solid and no cracks ( they need to be treated specially) you can go right over the block with a few precautions. The block needs to be clean and smooth. No mortar from the joints and stick out. If the walls are unpainted ( and clean) you can go over them with WHITE and white only thin set. There is no such thing as colored or tinted thin set.And glass tiles call for a strong latex modified thin set If the walls are painted ( and clean) you can use a mastic or the special thin set. Fill in the mortar joints with the adhesive you use. Mastic cannot be used if this is a wet area or going to be a wet area. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:For what would you use 4'X8' sheets of 5/32 thick cement board impregnated with fibers?
Backer board instead of drywall in areas with moisture issues such as bathrooms and kitchen back splash area, or as an underlayment for tile.
Q:I have 9 asbestos tile on concrete floor. Can I put cement board over tile this then install ceramic tile?
Yes,be sure asbestos tile is as flat as possible and be sure to screw down boards correctly. For best results, pull up tile.
Q:What are the densities of tiles and cement
The combination of lignocellulosic and Portland cement produces a non-toxic building material plate that does not contain any volatile toxic substances such as asbestos and formaldehyde. Wood fiber cement board will not produce any harmful substances, excellent environmental performance. Wooden cement board contains 71% Portland cement, 19% mineralized wood fiber, 9% moisture and 1% binder. Wood fiber cement board conforms to ASTM E 136 non-flammable building materials standard, excellent structural performance. Soaked in water is not layered, stable uniformity. Wooden cement board can be cut, planing, grinding, drilling, threading, and can be fixed with nails or screws.
Q:Why does noise do not mean sound absorption? How to use good sound insulation, sound absorption material to handle the hall? Ask the master enlighten me!
First, silence: As the name implies, is to reduce the intensity of the sound source, can play this role is usually a porous material, generally common are cotton products. The most effective is the gradient of sound-absorbing cotton, the raw material is made of polyester fiber, but the density is gradient, what it means, that is, side is relatively soft, one side is hard, from soft to hard, soft side of the installation towards the source.
