- hm ok, i havent performed chemistry in a on a similar time as, yet i do submit to in innovations doing this test too. basically, if memory serves, its through fact as quickly as you have captured the gas in the attempt tube, once you enable pass, that's going to be released through fact this is no longer securely contained. - GnR isn't hard rock, sorry. They were part of a huge genre that lated almost a decade, and while that rock is considered harder than the music you hear today it's not the same thing as ACTUAL hard rock Hair metal's not a bad thing, it just has an un-just bad connotation.

- Nothing will come after Brotherhood aside from the animated film. Brotherhood followed Hiromu Arakawa's manga, and since there are 108 chapters of the main story and 1 chapter of a side story, there isn't going to be another series. I will say this, though, there will be an animated film of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. As of now, it is unknown as to when the film will be released but it will be.

- You know..Roxel asks a good point. A lot of what we called Speed Metal back in the day (late 80s for me) is stuck under other Genres now... Like Bolt Thrower..used to just be called UK SpeedMetal. I remember it was even listed that way at the shops... SpeedMetal. Now.. we really don't see it mentioned. Weird. Seems like a lot of the bands we called Speed back in the day are either Thrash or Death now.

- Because Thrash is a stripped down version of metal, the American Hardcore of metal. The bands don't wear costumes, they just tear your face off and send you home with an aching neck. In contrast, quite a bit of Nu-metal isn't metal by many previous definitions. It has a tendency to get labeled metal, but owes as much to NIN as it does to traditional metal. Which is a bit like Thrash metal, which by adopting some elements of punk, violated many of the things which previously defined metal. Personally, I wouldn't call slipknot nu metal, as they merely gained success at the same time as nu-metal bands came to the forefront. They have little in common with nu-metal bands in their style. If I want to bag on slipknot, I just call them what they are. GWAR wannabees who play dress up and most likely have wet dreams about going golfing with Alice Cooper and discussing production values with Madonna.

- Thats a tough question for me.....I like a lot of bands from America (Throwdown, Pantera, Hatebreed, LOG, etc) but I love a lot of bands from other places in the world (Soilwork, The Haunted, etc).......personally, I think both have really produced great metal bands....but for the sake of the number of bands I listen to that have come from America over the years compared to elsewhere, I will have to go with American Metal....although I do greatly agree with you on European Melodic Death Metal bands.... edit: After reading some of the other answers, I want to clarify that I am not just talking about metal today, but throughout the years...
