Calcium Silicon Powder

1. Description:

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.

Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:

(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.

(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.

(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.

(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

Q:Good metal bands??? :)?
semiconductors - metal halogens - nonmetal noble gases - nonmetal Semiconductors are used for the transference of energy. They can be found in things such as solar panels. Halogens are the elements like chlorine and bromine and are the elements in the column second to the right. The noble gases are... clearly not metal... they're gases... it's in the name!
Q:What is 'real' metal?
Doom Metal Classic Metal NWOBHM Thrash Metal Power Metal Symphonic Metal Prog Metal Melodic Metal Melodic Death Metal Hair Metal
Q:WHAT ARE METALS USED FOR?
Thats a tough question for me.....I like a lot of bands from America (Throwdown, Pantera, Hatebreed, LOG, etc) but I love a lot of bands from other places in the world (Soilwork, The Haunted, etc).......personally, I think both have really produced great metal bands....but for the sake of the number of bands I listen to that have come from America over the years compared to elsewhere, I will have to go with American Metal....although I do greatly agree with you on European Melodic Death Metal bands.... edit: After reading some of the other answers, I want to clarify that I am not just talking about metal today, but throughout the years...
Q:What are some metal bands that combine many genres?
Behemoth okorder.com
Q:Metal Category.?
I would say 1970-1976 cause Sabbath made metal mainstream to an extent with hard rock also taking in effect at the same time. But with the rise of disco and punk really made rock go on a downfall. Now 1980-1994 cause the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) kept metal from going out of ectinction with bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, etc. Then in 1984 you had Quiet Riot which was the first metal band to reach No 1 on the billborad charts with there cover of Slade's Come On Feel The Noize. With Quiet Riot's sucess it made metal mainstream. With hair metal bands such as Motley Crue, Ratt, Def Leppard, etc.Now the fall of Glam Metal was grunge and the power balled. Also because most hair metal bands worried about looks more than music. In 1992 Metallica, Guns N Roses and Skid Row each hit No 1 each seperate week. Skid Row was the first to hit No 1. Pantera also kept it alive with there hit album also reqaching No 1. After that I would say metal has died and went back to the underground fan base
Q:are there any cool non-metal band names?
start with the classics... metallica, motorhead... then there's things like avenged sevenfold, black veil brides, trivium... but really, start with the 80s metal. that's what all metals really based on.
Q:10 favorite bands from metal genres?
thrash metal- very fast metal with very heavy sounds, bands like metallica, megadeth, slayer. new wave british metal- kind of a pop sound, but heavy, bands like iron maiden, def leppard, rainbow black metal-very popular in norway very fast and most people wear lots of black makeup and white makeup, the singing is like scream-o first wave metal-bands like black sabbath, led zeppelin, ac/dc, kiss hair metal- the name is self explanitory, everyone had hair and shows were over the top, wore lipstick, eyeliner, etc. bands like motley crue, poison, warrant, skid row, winger, whitesnake. psychedelic(art) metal- new artsy sound with an edge and creativeness, bands like pink floyd, the velvet underground, genesis, david bowie, roxy music. stadium metal-songs that you'd hear during sports, bands like queen, ted nugent. 3rd wave metal, new metal bands like anthrax, system of a down, pantera,. funk metal- metal mixed with rap bands like faith no more, rage against the machine, red hot chili peppers, jane's addiction. progressive-sci-fi things like rush, yes, boston
Q:which elements would most likely react with group 2a metals?
Most likely the sheet metal from Home Despot is galvanized steel. Not much for interesting patinas there, either a whitish powdery finish or a rust color, depending on how much zinc is on the surface of the steel. The best metals for patinas are copper based alloys. Brass is probably the worst, with bronze being the almost best. Copper would be the ultimate best. There may be some copper sheet at HD, or other hardware stores. You might try some roofing supply outfits, sometimes copper sheet is used as flashing on finer homes or historical restorations. As far as what chemical(s) to use, the application, and preservation of the finished patina is a whole 'nuther question. Finding the metal is the first step. Good luck
Q:I need a death metal girlfriend.?
Metal factors (i'm assuming we're talking about factors) are just right conductors of warmth and electricity, are usually malleable (will also be flattened into skinny sheets) and ductile (can also be rolled into wires), and type cations when forming ionic bonds with non-metals. Now not all metals are robust, although many are, and most have a high boiling factor, although mercury (a steel) is a liquid at room temperature. Non-metallic elements are the reverse. Poor conductors, on the whole no longer malleable or ductile, and form anions when in ionic bonds. Though most stable non-metals are brittle, some are very tough. Boiling elements vary wildly, though most covalently bonded compounds (two or more non-metals in a bond) are typically gases, some base factors, like carbon, have boiling features above 4000K.
Q:when is konami making metal gear solid 5?
Metal is like hard core Havey and loud. Lots of yelling and screaming. Rock is just like classic rock but newer.
