Q:Im redoing my M.bedroom and bath. I just purchased a new chocolate comforter for my bed. I have oak flooring and a king mahogony 4 poster bed. Im needing some help on the color in which I should paint the walls and also what color curtains to use. The comforter is different textures velvet, satin, fur with each making a 12 inch stripe down the comforter. The satin has a little gold swirl in it. That is the only color besides the chocolate. In the m.bathroom everything is white except the oak cabinets. Should I paint a chocolate accent wall? Please help?: I would use a cream or light gold color on the walls with gold sheers for the windows. You could do a chocolate accent wall in the bath to bring the color in there.

If your walls are a med. light green?: depending on the room & the style that u'r going for.... u can either make the curtains a darker green or a print/design w/ that green in it. If u have a 2nd or 3rd accent color going on in u'r room, u can use that on u'r curtains instead & that would tie it all in together. w/o knowing what else is going on in the room, that's the best i can give to u. hope that helps some.

The north side is always cooler. If you want to conserve heat in the winter and have it cooler in the summer you would initially build solar south. You would be testing that exact area all year by following the shadows using a pencil held on a flat surface at noon everyday and marking the shadows. However, this building is already up. The secret with double or triple paned glass is that the air pocket in between holds the heat or the cold depending on the situation. If put on the correct angle it will actually conserve the best way possible for most of the year. There are solar curtains that are made of shiny silvery, non-transparent polyethylene and they cut down on utility bills be reflecting the sun's rays during the the summer and retaining the heat in the winter.

Q:Can I go through the stud? Are there any more options for puttig up these curains? Help!: I'm hoping your talking about wooden studs or this will sound stupid. Just use wood screws! When they install a door or window on an outside wall there is a large double board on top called a header. This header holds the weight that would normally be supported by studs if the opening was not there. Therefore, you will have wood all the way across the opening.
