- Q:I have 00 yamaha r6 with dunlop qualifier tires.Today when i did a hard brake at 50ish miles, my rear started fishtailing and skid toward one side, and i reapply the brake and kinda got the bike straight but i was out of the line at the red light, lucky it just turned red from yellow. What could be the problem? Tires or brake?
- Your GPS is not made of self-replicating chemicals. Your body is. Your false analogy will not help your case for an intelligent designer. Mutation alone doesn't bring about species. It is selective forces working on variation within a reproducing population that brings about species. Your strawman version of evolution also will not help your case for an intelligent designer.
- Q:Why do motorcycles have two wheels but not trucks?
- Thats a dumb question. I mean because trucks weigh over a tonne, and can't be supported on two wheels. Cars can't be supported by three (Top Gear) how do you think trucks can handle two? IT WILL CRUSH IT :D
- Q:The thing is in great shape, and plenty powerful for me right now -- basically a cruiser below 45mph, sport bike above that. It‘s been mine for a couple of months. Right now I‘m in love with it. But I hear that people get bored, and they eventually upgrade. Anything I should already be looking at? Just asking folks that have more experience than me, I upgraded from a 150cc scooter that‘s still great around town but face it, it‘s just not as fun.
- I went straight to a yamaha 1100cc. I thought about a 650 or 750, then decided, why upgrade a few months later. no regrets by me or the wife ask yourself do you plan on riding mostly alone or with a passenger for one 650 / 750cc is good, dual riders 1100 / 1200cc
- Q:Would I be rich if I came up with this project? Tired of waiting till summer to ride your motorcycle? Tired of sliding on falling on slippery pavement? Well I got training wheels you can hook right on to prevent that! Don‘t waist money on a winter car! hahaGood idea bad idea?
- sylvester roper invented the 1st motorcycle in 1867. if you count steam powered motorcycles. gottlieb daimler invented the 1st gas powered motorcycle 1n 1885.
- Q:I‘ve been changing my own tires for ages on my Kawasaki Versys, which takes some pretty common tires (I can find 160/60/17 just about anywhere). My friend who rides a 250 ninja, however, needs a new rear, and all the rears I find in his size (which seems to be either 130/70/zr17 or 120, depending on brand) are listed as being Front tires in their advertising.Does that really matter? Can I use, for example, the bargain brand Shinko Raven 120/70/zr17 Front tire as his rear, or will he low-side and die and have it be all my fault?
- In a nutshell you cannot use front tyre for rear as the tyre pressures are completely different and profiles are different. The handling will be compromised as well so do not even contemplate doing this.
- Q:swing arm hold tyre from one side only, how tyre is aligned with the frame then? what mechanism is used.thanks
- Q:My husband bought a brand new 2008 Yamaha Raider. After about 200 miles, the tire was losing air. It was a demo w/30 miles on it when he bought it. If it is not a nail or something that he caused, would the dealership be responsible for repair/replacement?
- Losing air? You mean from a nail or screw in the tire? Or do you mean the valve stem or rim is leaking? Squirt the tire all over with soapy spray and then you can easily figure out where the leak is. If its a hole in the tire tread, its not the dealerships fault. But if its a faulty/leaky or maybe loose valve stem core or cap, its a simple fix. If its a tube type, and the tube may have developed a leak, its also an easy fix, once the wheel is off the bike. I once had a screw go right thru a brand new rear tire with less than 50 miles on it.so I bought another brand new tire. Stuff happens.
- Q:The apartments complex where I‘m currently residing is a gated community for college students who live near MSU. They routinely have malfunctions with the gate and it was left open for almost all of August and September. During the latest malfunctions someones car had the windshields bashed, the car spray painted, and the then shot into. Yes, someone shot a bullet into it. Well, during the last weekend when the gate was still broken, they towed my motorcycle. They said they towed it because it had a flat tire. I was at home that weekend and all I know is that before I had left my apartment the tire was not flat (the tires are a little under a year old and they‘re Pirellis‘). Now I have to go pay $150 to get it back and at least $200 for a new tire. Is there anything I can do about this? I feel like it‘s partially the apartment complex‘s fault for leaving the gate open when it clearly states in the lease that it‘s a gated community. Thanks for any input!
- Q:Which is the prefered motorcycle tire;Pirelli MT66 Route Cruiser Rear vs. Michelin Commander Cruiser Rear Tire?
- There both pretty much the same but you need to fit any make of tyres in two's i.e same front and back or you will screw the handling up. If I remeber correctly both of these do dual compound tyres, hard middles softer walls it depends on how or what yo ride.
- Q:I am recently new to the motorcycle world and just now finding out tricks of the trade. So here it goes.My rear tire was originally a TUBED tire. I am having a difficult time finding a replacement tire since apparently they don‘t make the size anymore (not too common) and all the tires that would fit on it are tubeless tires. Other then attaching a valve stem to the rim, will I have problems going from tube to tubeless? What other changes do I need to make?
- not enough info in the question but will answer. IF THE RIM HAS SPOKES THEN YOU MUST USE A TUBE but there is no problem putting a tube in a tubeless tire. if you really want to go tubeless then you need a rim that is not a spoked one
