Q:The other day I just found out that I had a hand-made rug that was made in Iran and bought by my grandparents about 10-15 years ago, the rug is about 6x8 and they paid around $2000 dollars for it.My question is what is the proper way to clean a rug that is hand-made? It has not been cleaned in years only vacuumed... and also is there a market place for these rugs? if I do decide I want to sell it.

Q:We have rugs in our house that cover a large area because we have wooden floors. We have had them for a few years and there is a lot of dust that is sand colored that doesn't go away easily even with vacuuming. My mom thinks its just backing from the rug and it's normal. Were planning to get rid of them soon but is this dust/sand stuff really harmful to breathe in? It's been there for years but we don't move them around or anything.

wal-mart is usually a pretty good bet, i've found a lot of area rugs there for $20-$25. if you're looking for brighter colors though i'd try for Target...they tend to have some really bright colors in the dorm-kinda furnishing areas.

Q:What's the purpose of an excercise rug? Does it really keep your horse warmn just on rhe hindquarters? But don't horses usually heat up with work. Can it be used walk,trot canter and too jump? I just want to know the purpose of this.

I use an exercise sheet in the winter when walking out to keep my horse warm as her back is clipped. I use mine for slow work or for warming up when riding as I can remove mine whilst riding as it wraps around the saddle. Generally you wouldn't need it once you start cantering and jumping. The other reason for using one is for visibility. Mine is fluorescent yellow so I use it as high viz gear when hacking out.

Q:They always say quot;Oh she went to a red carpet event,quot; or they got her picture at quot;the red carpet?quot; I don't get it! Is it just a RED CARPET that they walk on? What's the purpose? I know this question is stupid... but I'd REALLY like to know. It's killing me. :(

well not all red carpets r acctually red. like at the premiere for charlie and the chocolate factory they had a brown one. but its still called a red carpet. it just means the carpet they lay out that celebrities walk on while doing press interviews and stuff, before a movie premiere or award show or whatever. im not sure why theyr red though... but a red carpet event just means its an event with alot of celebrities and other succesful showbiz people

Q:Ok i have double-sided beige rug and i accidentally bleached it leaving big white circles and blobs. Can i use an orange crayon, color it in then use an iron and iron the rug to make the orange crayon into a dye? I dont have actual dye? Will the orange crayon turn beige when I iron over it?

take it to a dealer i can give u and estimate since i sold mine. 3 by 4 meter for $2500 CAD and bigger one i forgot the size for $4000 CAD look in the yellow pages or just go a store see if they have an inspector. it should sell for god amount of money depending on condition and how old it is.
