Q:Its on power and one is in a pc monitor and one is lying on the ground. Will the electricity go through the cable that is not connected and lying on the ground? is this safe to touch with hands or shoes?
Pasting the reply I gave to the other (deleted) question: Assuming these are the IEC-standard power cables I'm thinking of, yes and no respectively. Electricity will be able to reach both ends, but the plastic insulation at the end of these connectors should disallow any contact between you and the live pins. You may want to consider covering it up in non-conductive electrical tape, though, just to be sure no debris get in causing it to go live outside of the connector.
Q:I have a psu that has two slots for 8 pin power connectors. It only came with one 8 pin to 6+2 pin and one 8 pin to 6 pin power cable. I have a video card that needs 2 8 pin connectors and I need a cable that is 8 pin to 8 pin. I can't use 6-pin slots because I have used all of them. I have found extenders but no male to male cable. Any help? Thanks?
Most people use a molex to 8 pin adapter. Link below.
Q:The power company are doing some work on our road. and are going to be moving the terminal thing on the side of our house (2nd floor side wall) where the electric comes to the house and feeds both ours and next door (semi-detached). We have seen some dwellings that have a long UPVC bright orange plastic pipe covering the cable for a few meters and wondered why they do this?
Insulation of the wire Animal protection A large bright flag to say to people that this is dangerous, which it is
Q:i have an amp with an 80a fuse i figure i shoud use a power cable with a 100a inline fuse what guagee should i use? also can i get two 8 guage wires with 50a inline fuses both to the ampthanks guys
I also use an 2 channel amplifier with an 80amp fuse on board (I'm running two of them actually). If you are only running the one amplifier, 4 gauge cable is a safe option. If you're going to be running more amps, go 0 gauge. The only time you'd look at running multiple power cables from the battery is if your audio application demands it (like SPL cars, that run anything in excess of 4 amplifiers with MEGA continuous running power and also running multiple batteries at that, too). I don't think you're going that far, so the single run would be sufficient. From your 4 gauge cable, run a distribution block with however many points of 4 gauge cable running to your other amps. Hope this helps you :)
Q:(above question) and can i use a fender strat guitar with this amp instead of a bass? and are there things i should know before using this amp?
The power cable thing could potentially be a serious problem, since it seems the ground wire is lifted or missing. I'd definitely check this with a knowledgeable person if I were you. It may be as simple as changing to another AC power plug and connect the earth/ground wire. Do you need an extra preamp? No. Any combo amp have two amp stages built in: pre- and power amp. Adding and extra preamp is highly unlikely make the sound better. You will probably just add hiss and noise. This is not a great amp for playing guitar, although you won't ruin anything by doing it. Just plug yoiur guitar in and see if you like the sound or not.
Q:Apparently my computer has a 300 watt power supply. I am wanting to purchase a new graphics card but apparently in order to get a better graphics card then my existing card, Geforce 8400, I need a larger power supply. What will I need to purchase to increase the power supply to 500 watt and is it really worth buying all this? I am thinking I might aswell save up a bit more and buy a new computer.Any help apprietiated, thank you.
between the answerers above claimed a computing gadget in use is like having on a 40watt bulb. properly, in case your 40watt bulb attracts about one hundred and fifty-200watts, i ought to heavily ask for my funds back. i have checked countless the computers i have owned with a skill-intake meter, and they have a tendency to apply between one hundred and fifty-200watts. skill is measured in watt/hours, so a computing gadget like this left on for an hour ought to apply 200watt/hours of electricity. those computers have had processors contained in the a million.5Ghz-2GHz variety. once you're utilising a very quick processor and also you do a great number of gaming with a posh portraits card equipped, you should probably stick yet another one hundred-150watts onto that. A CRT reveal screen makes use of a honest quantity of skill too - my previous 15inch one averages about 80watts. liquid crystal reveal visual reveal unit instruments have a tendency to be a lot less skill hungry than CRTs. Leaving computers on even as they are no longer in use isn't only a waste of money yet obviously also an uneccessary contribution to international warming. yet another aspect to bear in mind is that digital elements have restricted lifespans, in a lot of situations measured in tens or 1000's of 1000's of hours. Capacitors (you'll discover a great number of those on your skill grant and on your motherboard) have shorter lifespans than many different elements, significantly shorter in the adventure that they are run in warmth or warm environments.
Q:Hey I just recently bought a Randal RB200X bass amplifier combo but it came with no cables or power chords or anything. Can someone please tell me what I need to buy in terms of cables to turn this amp on? I am clueless and am really desperate! Please help.
Abes okorder ... All you need is a standard guitar cable to connect the bass to the amp.
Q:How to distinguish between power cables and electrical wiring on drawings
Cable ends should be marked with cable head symbols, the middle line should also be different from the ordinary wiring. Bv at the beginning of the general wire, with YJV or vv is generally a cable, but not limited to these
Q:I blew 2 fuses in my amp in my car, i have replaced them both, one was a 30amp and the other a 20. The 30 amp was an inline fuse from the battery to the amp and the 20 amp was a standard 20 amp fuse in the amp. As i said i replaced both fuses and try the amp again and it wouldnt go. There is a LED light on the top just lighting up a logo, when i attatch the power from the battery the light goes off and when i disconnect it the light comes on. When i dissconect the power the red light for diagnose comes on.
sounds like the power wire might be exposed somewhere and its shorting the system
Q:its 6pin power cable on vga if we went really connect to psu if i not connect to that it ll happen something ?if i want to connect psu or mother board?
The question was not making sense to me. 1. If you wanted to know if you wont connect any power cable to the video card will it work. No It will not work. The video card has its own power requirement hence it has to be connected to six pin PCIe power. If you don't have one of those in your power supply then then you have a molex to 6 pin power connector. 2. If you want to know if the PCI'e power connector canbe connected somewhere else the answer is no. 3. The graphic card can only be installed in PCIe X16 slot. Hope it helps Rocky :)
