Properties:

Manganese is an important alloying agent. It is added to improve the strength, toughness, stiffness, hardness, wear resistance, and hardenability of steels. Together with aluminum and antimony, especially in the presence of copper, it forms highly ferromagnetic alloys. Manganese dioxide is used as a depolarizer in dry cells and as a decolorizing agent for glass that has been colored green due to iron impurities. The dioxide is also used in drying black paints and in the preparation of oxygen and chlorine. Manganese colors glass an amethyst color and is the coloring agent in natural amethyst. The permanganate is used as an oxidizing agent and is useful for qualitative analysis and in medicine. Manganese is an important trace element in nutrition, although exposure to the element is toxic in higher quantities.

Introduction

Electrolytic manganese metal flake is with silver gray metallic luster, hard and crisp, melting point 1245, boilling point 1962, with strong oxidation-reduction capacity. Specific gravity is 7.2. In comparison with metal manganese made by elctric warming, the electrogenerated mental manganese is of higher purity, superior quality and wider application.

Application

Mainly used in steel-making, special steel-making, non-ferrous alloy (A-Mn alloy, Ti-Mn alloy, Mg-Mn alloy). It is also widely applied in chemical industry, electron undustry, medicine, aerospace, medicine. Also it is used in the high performance soft magnetization ferrite, high magnetic permeability ferrite, high saturated magnetic induction density low cost ferrite, high stable low cost ferrite.

So the atomic mass of the metal is 52 g/mol (2.2g/0.043mols) Consulting the Periodic Chart shows Cr, chromium, is the only metal possible...QED So the metal is chromium, and the salt is chromic chloride, CrCl3 If you want to check this answer calc % metal in the salt you obtained [100x2.2/6.8 = 32.4%]....and in CrCl3 [100x52/(52+3x35.5) = 32.8%]...close enough agreement since you really only have two sig figures to work with. These problems are easy if you stay focused...right? :-))

Why can we turn back the clocks to the days of classic thrash real metal like slayer, exhorder, anthrax, pantera, sepultura, Meshuggah, metallica (before St. Anger), Judas Priest, Exodus, etc. Now that's true music.: 'Symphonic Metal' is referring to music that using like operatic (usually) female vocals, and sometimes uses orchestrated instruments... Band example: Epica 'Melodic Metal' is pretty similar to Symphonic Metal. A metal band that has melodic, 'pretty' sounding instruments compared to other metal. Band example: Stratovarius [maybe] 'Melodic Death Metal' is metal music, with death, screaming/growling vocals with very melodic sounding instruments to go with it. Band Example: Norther. 'Symphonic Death Metal' never really heard that specific genre, but I suppose it's pretty similar to Melodic Death Metal. here's a not too great answer: I would say that the main difference is the vocal styles that belong to the genre. The two most opposing genres are 'Melodic Death Metal' and 'Symphonic Metal' I would say, because of the completely different vocal arrangements they have in their music.
