This series of diaphragm pump is a latest model now at home. - Q:Ok, simple question, on a 1992 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. The water pump sucks water (not push) through the heater core correct? So the flow of water goes from the block, through the heater core, into the water pump, right?
- wrong...... water pump..... means it pumps water.... the hose that comes off the water pump pumps water through the heater core and back out the the thermostat. if i remember if u dont have any over heating issues then dont worry about it...... if it dosent over heat theres not a problem..... the water pump is bad if its leaking or the bearings are bad.

- Sometimes I really wonder about Robert. Yeah, water boils at 212--AT ATMOSPHERIC pressure. But a cooling system is pressurized to RAISE the boiling point. So, ah, Robert is once again in left field. Because if you wait for it to boil over, you've probably already caused engine damage. You do NOT need a high volume pump. The 3 core radiator does NOT need more flow. The temp gauge should not fluctuate. That's the job of the T-stat--to regulate engine temp and keep it at a set point. - Q:I have a 1990 js550 that i picked up for a project. When in the water it overheats and minimal water comes out the tell tail. When on the tap it runs fine no overheating, so i disconnected the hose from the back of the ski where it sucks the water in and ran a garden hose directly to it. And the ski ran fine.I also cleaned all the tubes out with air.I am not getting enough water flow through the ski when it is in the water. Is there a water pump inside the motor?There is definitely no blockages, there is just no enough pressure to keep it cool.Thanks

- Q:97 izusu rodeo has constant squeal after timing belt, water pump and all belts being replaced what could be the cause. It sounds pretty bad.
- If the water pump has been replaced I would suspect either the alternator, the belt tensioner, or the A/C compressor. It's usually one of the first two and not the later, but check all three. It's an izusu so my guess is the alternator barring is worn out. Generally, In my experience, the power steering pump will not squeal unless it's ran low on fluid. The barring in the power steering pumps are usually submerged in the power steering fluid. I could be wrong but I'd check the tensioner and alternator first. Also check any idler wheels.
