Q:rugs and saddles?
I bought a saddle from a girl in the local Pony Club for $300. I have had it for three years and will probably have it for many more, it is in good condition. Buy a almost new used saddle and clean and condition it every so often. It will keep the leather soft and supple. And it will keep the saddle in better condition so it will last longer. For rugs, I would get a thick rug in the winter (well, actually, it depends how cold it gets there) and in the summer, you don't even need a rug. You could get a protective shett. It is like a rug that protects them from pests like flies and mosquitos. In the winter, I would just sponge it down and wait for him/her to cool down then put a cooler (a special blanket for a horse that has just worked hard). Later you can put a thicker blanket on, like when he is totally back to normal. In the summer I would do the same thing (put the cooler on) then put on the protective sheet or just nothing. My horse doesn't use a rug int the winter. I hope this helped you.
Q:What to do with my new area rug......?
Hi, This is a natural process of wool rugs shedding loose fibers from the weaving process. It will not hurt your rug just may be a little annoying but the great qualities of wool will make up for that. You may have to vacuum more often 2 or 3 times a week for a year or less until the shedding stops. If the rug is a longer pile like a flokati rug you can rake it with a garden rake (preferable wood or plastic) or uses a wide tooth brush or pet brush to brush it. Hope this helps and hang in there with the shedding!
Q:Base Moulding...Before or after carpeting?
either way is acceptable. if you put the base on first, space it up about 3/8 to 1/2 inch so the carpet will tuck under. Carpet installers like to have the base on after because it's easier for them and covers a rough edge.Carpenters like to do it ahead of time so they can be done and can cut in the house without carpet in place. that saves them a lot of steps. from the homeowners point of view, being able to paint the trim without danger to the carpet is a plus, but realize that the carpet installers will bang up the new trim some, since the stretcher usually pushes against the trim. So You'll end up touching up the trim anyway.
Q:What is the carpet trace made of?
there are a variety of carpet materials, generally are polypropylene fiber, acrylic fibers, nylon wool and blending .
Q:What is carpet back cloth?
It refers to the cloth that is attached to the bottom of the carpet. It is used for wrapping, fixing carpet fiber.
Q:What is PVC carpet
Some fashion clothes, handbags, furniture, PVC is polyvinyl chloride, chloroethylene monomer(vinyl chloride monomer, English abbreviation is PVC (Polyvinyl chloride), polyvinyl chloride has been widely used in all walks of life, all kinds of products, auxiliary medical supplies: Wire sheath, preservative paper for certain foods, and auxiliary processing agent. Can be used widely, such as azoic compound initiator, it has excellent resistance to climate variability and geometric stability, shorten as VCM) in oxide, pigment, toys (such as the famous "Rody" in Italy). In actual use, PVC materials are often added stabilizer, such as ornaments, gloves; or used in situations where there is light, reducing agent, acid and strong resistance, bags, chlorinated hydrocarbons. However, it can be used in concentrated oxidation acid, such as sulfuric acid, building decoration supplies. Because it has good fireproof and heat-resisting effect. Chloroethylene copolymer and chloroethylene copolymer are called as chloroethylene resin. Polyvinyl chloride can be made from ethylene. This carpet is environmentally friendly.
Q:What to do with old, dirty area rug?
When I clean my area rugs I take them out to the driveway and spray them off with the hose. Mix some laundry detergent with water and scrub it with a brush, then spray it off really good again. The only downfall here is you have to let it dry outside in the sun, so this is best to do in the summer! And, unfortunately, if you do this often the rug will fade.
Q:How to do if the carpet is stained with stool?
If you can not find a good way to clean it: Step one: Use water absorbent towel to repeatedly rub (water absorbent towels are sold in supermarket, sticked on the brush added with water to brush until it is clean; step two, such as OMO: Spray perfume on that part (if you have no perfume, then I'd like to give you a more operational advice. (this must be repeated several times before the bubble is totally removed) step three: Use the hair dryer to dry that part. Step four, until it almost half dry, that kind of towel that can dry hair is also a good choice): Use good quality washing powder
Q:vapor barrier under carpeting?
Good morning, The other user gandrew is right about using a vapor barrier plastic sheeting underneath your floors in the crawlspace, but you can also go a step further and use a higher-quality carpet pad that has anti-microbial treatment in it alongside a vapor barrier. I work for The Home Depot and we, alongside other home centers, sell upgraded pads you can buy that have these features to ensure you won't have to run into the musty odor carpet problem ever again. Also, when you buy your carpet, be sure the material is of high quality and check for things such as moisture and stain warranties to make sure you are getting the best carpet for your great room. While there are other things to do, such as painting your wood floors and crawlspace walls with a moisture barrier material, it's much easier and works just as well to secure sheets of plastic underneath your floors (use .4 mil or thicker) and a high quality 6lb. or higher carpet pad. This one-two punch of a vapor barrier in the crawl space as well as a pad underfoot when you purchase your new carpet can and will ensure you will have a moisture/smell-free floor guaranteed! Hope this helps you out, aboveaveragejoe
Q:Fixing Flat carpet.?
I agree with the first answer.Steam cleaning can work also.
