Q:the tv weight 11kg
You probably could if you mount the brackets on the wall studs. But definetly you could not mount the bracket directly to plasterboard. It would pull-out and drop to the floor with the greatest of ease.
Q:How is the Lafarge gypsum board?
Be directly behind the Dragon card to catch up with the big brands, and the quality is quite good
Q:Living room ceiling to sink at least how much? Is the keel gypsum board and so on the thickness of the ceiling material is about how much
If the ceiling inside the downlight, then octagonal box + the height of the lamp + wood keel + gypsum board 20cm high If the ceiling is no downlight, then the point can be less, but the ceiling is based on the style of the house there are beams of height factors
Q:Is plasterboard another name for drywall?
Technically no but the terms are used interchangeably nowadays. Plasterboard used to be a rough textured sheet product used to provide a base for the final skim-coat plaster. After sheet rock was perfected in the mid 60s nobody used plasterboard anymore but the name stuck.
Q:Hello!I've purchased a large mirror for my room and realized that I don't have any wall plugs that would be long enough to reach the load-bearing wall and I've never used wall plugs for the plasterboard wall in front of it.To be honest I have no idea which ones to buy.How much weight and which ones can handle. And is it even a good idea to use plasterboard wall plugs or should I just get longer ones which will reach the load-bearing wall? Thanks!
I would use toggle anchors if its a hollow wall behind the drywall. Wall plugs can come loose in my experience. But you will have a decent sized hole in the wall to repair if you take them out - but same with the plugs too.
Q:I had some water damage to the ceiling of a small bathroom and need to remove the plaster, but I don't want to invest in a reciprocating saw (plus they're scary to use overhead).
Depends on the thickness of the plaster. I have seen it over half an inch thick. It is harder than drywall and will dull the saw like fast. So, I would first get a narrow chisel( or large flat bladed screwdriver) and a hammer will do for the removing of the plaster. You may also have wire mesh embedded in that plaster so wire cutters are handy. After that point you are down to the wooden slats. Saw works on wood. But if you are just fixing the plaster, just chip out the old and put in new. You did not really indicate why you had to go so deep. I would have leveled out the plaster, which may mean adding some more...then sand flat, spray the stain with a coat of Kilz(out of a spray can.) Then when dry, repaint the ceiling.
Q:What is the specification? What quality requirements?
Generally are kraft paper, there are cloth, gypsum board specifications are generally 1.2m * 2.4, the quality requirements to see what you use, the general selection of high density, moisture better.
Q:What are the classification and use of gypsum board?
Gypsum board, including gypsum plaster board, fiber gypsum board and insulation paper gypsum board three. Paper gypsum board is divided into: ordinary paper gypsum board, water-resistant plaster board and refractory plaster board. Fiber gypsum board is divided into: general fiber gypsum board and fiber reinforced hard gypsum pressure plate. Insulation paper gypsum board is divided into: trough composite gypsum board, polystyrene composite gypsum board and polyphenylene keel composite board. The specifications and uses of the various gypsum boards are shown in Table 10-71.
Q:I recently installed a Peerless Wall Mount to support my 46 LCD. Every installation guide I find tells me I absolutely need a stud when installing on a plaster board. However, I could not find a stud in my apartment wall and the plasterboard (if it is that - not quite sure of the material, the building was originally built in 1952 - if anyone has any insight on what it could be I'd appreciate it) was 2 to 3 deep. I used concrete spacers with the screws (which were also about 2 - 3 in depth). It seems exceptionally sturdy.Am I ok are or am I being delusional?
Sounds like real honest to God plaster over expanded diamond lathing or old style wood lathing. 2-3 inches isn't plasterboard (drywall). That's plaster. You should be ok if you installed the anchors correctly and used the correct anchors for the extreme depth of the plaster. Those things can hold up to 200 pounds per anchor. Technically, you should hit studs, but I really wouldn't worry about it if it seems secure. Could it fall off the wall? Yes. What are the chances? Low if you have chosen the correct anchors and installed them to specification. Enjoy your new flat screen!
