- Q:So i just got a French press and are a little unsure of how to use it properly. The directions and other websites have said to only use coarsely ground coffee in the press ( the directions said it would clog the filter and other how-to sites said it would go through the filter). My question is then this: is pre ground coffee (ex. fresh market Christmas blend) from the store not a good idea to put in the French press? I do not have a coffee grinder and am not planning on buying one.

- Its easier and faster to use a tofu press, such as the EZ Tofu Press to get all of the water out. This would remove the water and no freezing would be required. Freezing will provide a very dense piece of tofu, and very chewy. You can press and then freeze. I would also allow the frozen tofu block to defrost after freezing to remove the water.

- um mac press powder shld be ard 50 buck..i tht u shld not use press powder..it will clog ur pores...thats y u gt pimples again...u shld use loose powder...it wont clog as much...i think u can try using biotherm...it has the label of non-comodegenic..it wont clog the pores...u can get it frm sgwebsite at 88db which sells as a cheaper price...
- Q:The standing barbell presses that you lift over your head, it works your shoulders. Should I stop doing this since im still growing? or is it safe.Also My friend told me that after you work out you should hang on a bar for 30 seconds to stretch your spine and you dont stunt your growth.. Is that true??????
- PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS WARNING Standing presses do not stunt your growth. Standing presses do have a danger because this exercise puts a lot of strain on the rotator cuff of both shoulders. I had to have surgery on my right shoulder because of this so please do not ignore this warning. Before doing this exercise, you should work on conditioning of your rotator cuffs for at least 6 months. You can find exercises for this by doing a Google search. When you are ready, doing the press with dumbells with palms facing is less strain on the joint than standing presses with the barbell.

- Q:I'm 16 and play football. Last offseason I got 325 on bench press. At the begining of this offseason I started at 300 and quickly worked my way back to 325. For months now I haven't been able to get any higher on my bench press. Any suggestions on how I can get more?
- Amazing amount of weight for a 16 year old! This is what got me through my plateau. I would add 2 to 3 days more rest before doing bench press again than usual. If that didn't work I would drink alot more water and make sure I had had 2 or more meals before working out (not right before working out though) and get my diet more spot on for the days leading up to my next workout while also adding the 2 to 3 days more rest before the workout. That should work! BUT some other factors can cause some problems like: stress from work or school can tax your nervous system big time and if you are doing a split style of training, that could also be taxing your nervous system. So try having more rest between ALL workouts in general. This didn't help me, it fixed my problem completely.
- Q:I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
- Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)
- Q:Do you really need to buy a 4 color printing press to print more than one color on a shirt? Can't you just buy a 1 color printing press, do the first color, take off the screen, put the next screen and do the second color? Third color?
- You can defiantly just use a single colour press, however this will take up a lot more time and also reduce the quality as it will be difficult to align the press in the same position as the previous colour, this would probably contribute to a lot of waste too. It would depend on your clients, are you going to have a lot which are after 3 or 4 colour printing or are you going to be catering for those who are after fewer colours?
- Q:Is there a major difference between the two? Is one more effective than the others? Would it be a bad idea to add 3 sets of dead lifts to my work out if I'm already doing 5 sets of leg press?
- The leg press targets the quadriceps but also works the Gluteus Maximus, Adductor Magnus, Soleus, Hamstrings and Gastrocnemius. Full Squat although it works the same major muscles it also works the Erector Spinae, Rectus Abdominis and Obliques. Deadlift is specifically a back exercise and targets the Erector Spinae but also works Gluteus Maximus, Adductor Magnus, Quadriceps, Soleus, Hamstrings, Gastrocnemius, Trapezius, Middle, Trapezius, Upper, Levator Scapulae, Rhomboids, Rectus Abdominis and Obliques Drop the leg press and do the deadlifts.
