- Nope I agree. Girls clothes are getting more and more hookerish. I struggle when shopping for my 5 yr old stepdaughter. Everything is so sassy or trashy (my opinion) and I’m shopping at Target and such. However, with Hannah Montana, Bratz (that’s all I know) having such a fashion sense and bringing it to kids of ALL ages, I would say it certainly doesn’t help. I am SOOOO anti-Bratz. My stepdaughter loves them but they wear close to nothing sometimes. They’re obsessed with make up and hair and looking pretty. In my personal opinion, that’s not the greatest of examples for a child at the age or 4 or 5. ** ADD ** It may be a doll but they also have movies. And regardless if they're sporty or not, they're still wearing very little clothing. At least the ones I've seen have. We purposely lost my stepdaughter's Bratz movie. She wanted to watch it 24/7 (which that's too much TV anyways) and she would always ask to wear her clicky shoes around the house, her little skirt, and a spaghetti strapped tanktop because she has to be pretty (her words). An associates or bachelors in fire science will help tremendously, along with EMT-B certification. Be sure to do a lot of physical conditioning. The area that most prospective firefighters fail is the practical test (where you have to haul hose, and carry 150+ pounds 30 feet, and other physical tests). If you talk to the fire department that you are interested in working for, they will be able to tell you how to prepare for the various stations in the physical test. Hope this helps!
