Q:Can plastic tubes be used for outdoor applications?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for outdoor applications. Plastic tubes are often made from materials like PVC or polyethylene, which are highly durable and resistant to weather conditions, UV radiation, and moisture. These tubes can be used in various outdoor applications such as irrigation systems, drainage systems, outdoor plumbing, or as protective covers for cables and wires.
Q:WHAT LENGTH OF TUBING IN METERS SHOULD THE TEACHER ORDER????
1000 mm = 1m 60*750mm(1m/1000mm) = 45 m best answer?
Q:Can plastic tubes be used for fire extinguishing systems?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for fire extinguishing systems. However, it is important to note that the specific type of plastic used must be fire-resistant and comply with safety regulations. Additionally, proper installation and maintenance are crucial to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of the fire extinguishing system.
Q:Plastic tubing is touching compressor (or close to it) and gets hot and brittle. I recoupled a bad spot 1 year ago and it is leaking again. I would like to replace the tubing from the back of the refrig (solenoid) to the water filter. Any ideas on what material to use? I would like to use copper line thru the bottom of the refrig if not all the way to the water filter, but don't know how to connect it to the solenoid. Also would pex (1/4 OD) line be a better (albeit more expensive) choice for this?
You can replace the line with copper. If the connection point is metal you'll want to use a brass compression nut (brass) with a (brass) compression sleeve (know as a ferrules) if the connection point is plastic you'll want to use a nylon compression fitting. The metal ferrules one wont work as you would need to crank the you know what out out it to make it seal, and run the risk of stripping the plastic threads. The nylon takes less torque to seal if that makes sense as its a more dense material. You should be able to get all the parts from a local hardware store or big box store such as lowes or homedepot.
Q:Our hamster loves to make a bed in the plastic tube and not in the bed I bought (typical!). We clean the cage once a week and empty the tubes. Should we do this or should we just leave all the sawdust where it is?
I clean everything in my hamster cage, just leaving a handful of the old bedding in so the hamster can smell himself, as doesn't get stressed. I then just place everything in the cage and let hammy sort it out. It gives him something to do and lets him arrange it how he wants it, rather than me putting in in and him arrangeing it anyways!!
Q:We just got my dad an oxygen tank and we need to connect 5/8 tubing to regular (standard) oxygen tubing. Where do I but the part to connect the tubing? Do they even make something to connect the two? If not how would you go about connecting them?
Their are Home Health Companies that sell Oxygen and supplies. Look in your local Yellow Pages. What you are looking for is a hose barb that fits the Oxygen tubing. A Respiratory Therapy Company should have one or a local Hospital. Check there.
Q:Are plastic tubes resistant to cracking?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to cracking due to their inherent flexibility and durability.
Q:i got water leakin on the driver floorboard and i figured it was the drain tube but i cant find it to save my life. anybody have an idea? any help is appreciated. thanks
OMG we spent a good 40 minutes trying to find the one on a Galant. Look under the dash on the driver's side towards the center up by the front firewall. Up and above to the right of the gas pedal. The left side of the big black plastic airbox is hopefully right there, if it's not covered up in trim panels, and there is the black plastic elbow tube coming from the box then bending forward through the firewall. Use that point of reference to go on the engine side and try to find it poking through the firewall. It only sticks out maybe 1/4 of an inch. Might be some metal hydraulics in the way. Probably a full arm length down, and that's with you draped over the car. It's a nightmare to get at, but it's doable once you find it and then find a way to snake your arm in from underneath. I used a long plastic tube taped to the blow tip of an air compressor and fed it in to the drain tube. Some people say stick a wire in , but I found the 90 degree bend in the tube on the inside made that worthless.
Q:the tube is a 24 inch tube how do i use it onit?
Read the directions that came with it.
Q:We currently use round bottom glass test tubes on our automation but suffer a large dead volume. We are looking to find a supplier of low dead volume glass/plastic test tubes to trial
That's an unusual question. MANY years ago (50 or so) when we used to run a lot of pregnancy tests by utilizing Leopard Frogs, we used to use V-bottomed test tubes to spin down the sediment. Frankly, that's pretty much the only example I can remember where we used them. But I would think that they are still around. I would suggest you contact a laboratory supply house or two or three, and ask them. They are much more likely to be able to give you an answer than us geeks on the Yahoo medicine board. The stuff I used 50 years ago might not be around anymore.
