Q:Removing carpet and installing tile?
if you put down ceramic use the cementboard first if you put the peel and stick, i always use wallpaper primer first let it dry and then laymy lines and then put the peel and stick down the wall paper primer keeps the tiles from moving after time walking on them
Q:what is better for cutting tile, a wet saw or a tile cutter??
Nothing like good old hand tools a good tile cutter is not expencive just be sure to buy a couple of extra cutting wheels, and a cutter that will cut your size of tile, Use the saw for your fancy cuts, Now you have most of the tools for a tile job , all your friends and family will be knocking @your door Have Fun
Q:Grout stuck on tile...?
no longer directly, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, you're for all useful purposes arising a counter-top, so which you will could desire to handle it as such, complete with an suited backer cloth and side steel.
Q:where should i start tiling?
Start doing the largest area and do a 1/2 tile on the out side wall. All interior walls are supposed to be layed out to the out side and be square. Now if you have a long visible hall way near by, you may want to split that to get a good look at it from there. Its hard to positively say with out seeing it. I could visualize it then. Since this is a diagonal you cant control to much where the tiles land. If it were a straight lay, you d have a bit more control as to the layout. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
Q:Question About Ceramic Tile?
Hi, my brother installs ceramic tile for a living and has been doing it for about ten yrs or so, maybe less, maybe more, not sure, if you would like, I could find out for you, or have him contact you by phone or email.
Q:I want to tile my bathroom walls. Can I tile directly over the painted sheetrock?
yes you can tile over the sheet rock, first put a coat of bonding agent on the wall, then use mastic to hold the tile on, as for the wall tile on the floor, it's probably going to crack after a short time.
Q:Ceramic floor tiles for counter top?
Sure just pick out what you want get going on it.
Q:I need to put the tiles on the floor in the bathroom.Explain in detail how to?
Depends what kind of tile, large? small inch tiles? Either way, a cement board floor should be installed first. Most grout gaps are 1/8th inch or less.
Q:80 cm x 80 cm tiles a piece of weight is probably how many kilograms?
Now the brick is much lighter than before. Now a good brand than the ordinary soil cast factory thick, a good brand of a box of about 3 is about 100 pounds, is about 33 pounds each piece.
Q:Laminate wood floors or tile?
Go with tile. You add value to your house. Cheap laminate would only last only a few years. Laminate, in essence, is comppressed paper. If you have kids and they spill water, it could easily damage the laminate flooring. Expensive laminate could prevent this.. however they cost like $3+ per sq/ft. At that rate you might as well get the real deal and go with hardwood flooring. Last longer. Upkeep better. I'm a contractor btw.
