It depends if you have manual or power locks. I changed manual locks myself on my old Mazda 323. I think there were like $100. You buy a set of new locks at the dealership. You take off the inner part of the door, then it's pretty obvious from there.

What you are looking for is known as a (Heli-Coil insert). They are a coil of diamond shaped wire inserted into a special over size threaded hole. They are usually colored with a red coating. In the middle of the length of the coil are flat spots that grab on the screw to lock it against vibration loosening. You need special taps, and an inserter to use these. The inside thread is a standard screw size. You can get them for almost any screw size. Google (Heli-Coil) and you should be able to get more information and a picture of what you are asking about. They also come in a non-locking version.

Q:I have old galvanized pipes that are leading up to our upstairs bathroom. The idiots who owned the house before us replaced most of the old galvanized with copper except for the pipes that are hidden behind the walls. Of course, they tied the copper right into the galvanized thus creating a battery of sorts that is now corroding the pipes. lol and you forget your parents, siblings, and pets? well my room is upstairs so I'd just break my window, throw my mattress out and then throw all of my shoes and other stuff I need down on it before I jumped. 1) check the time zone setting of your phone. 2) when you set an alarm, see if the alarm icon appears in your display screen which would indicate that you have set it correctly. normally, after the set time goes off, the icon should no longer be there. if it's still there, there maybe a problem with your date and time setting. 3) see if your alarm tone is set to silent or vibrate mode and change to sound 4) if this is the first time it happened (meaning you have not had any problems on alarms before), might be a factory defect.

I have used a flattened out nail. bend them to the approximate shape and then flatten with a hammer. file it to the finished shape.

I'd try everything to make the alarm go off again. Make sure you cover everything - like are you sure there was no wood smoldering anywhere. At least you have alarms, and if they go off again at least you can turn everything off and be OK. Once you've located the source (and sorry if this is stating the obvious) but drive your car forwards into the garage rather than reverse in (if you weren't already). Maybe also, if you can get hold of a few CO alarms you can place one next to each suspected source. Then, probably the one that goes off first and/or has the highest reading should indicate where the CO is coming from.

And about the spyware problem, its a windows computer. Once you connect it to the internet you basically have killed your computer. Buy a Mac.
