FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q:Vacuum cleaners work by suction and suck up dirt. That would finally be correct usage of the word suck.
While an open-ended vacuum does, literally, suck, one usually refers to the process, suction, specifically suction power when referring to the machine's action. One might be more specific/scientific refer to force of the vacuum if one were attempt to weigh the merits of various vacuum cleaners, although this is usually done by comparing relative measures of engine horsepower. Usually, of course, a practical demonstration is called for given. As for the negative connotations given to the term in common parlance, there are two possibilities: 1) It is an abbreviated version of the term more euphemistically stated as vacuums excrement. 2) It could refer to a negative memory of an adolescent experiment w/ a machine... The former seems more likely. But, as Fats Waller used to say: One never knows... Do one?
Q:I heard Dysons are very nice, but they are very expensive. I could save up for one but it is all its cracked up to be? Are there any less expensive vacuum cleaners out there that are worth the money? I want one that doesn't clog easy and can pick up pet hair. Also preferably one that isn't too messy to dump it contents. Thanks ! :)
The answer to the question can change every month. Go to a vacuum repair shop that also sells new and ask them their recommendation, I did when I bought my Sharp 8 years ago and still love it.
Q:I had sales people come to my door last night. I was just getting in the shower. I told them I had very little time. Two came in and demostrated. The woman was very understand and went through it fast. When they were getting ready to leave the big boss came in. I am assuming to close the deal. He went throught the demo all over again. I kept telling him I have been through it already. Three hours later they were leaving!! She apologized. It seems like an amazing vacuum, but a lot of work. In addition to the work it was going to cost me 1900.00! I hear they Dyson (misspelled I am sure) is good. Does anyone know anything about the Dyson?
My momloves her Dyson, I personally own a Kirby and love it except the weight of it. Kirby's do last but if you have a 2 story then get a easier to lift model. I loke the fact that it has the hepa filter because my son has serious asthma and that is why I purchased it and that I am a clean freak so dust mites gross me out. You can't go wrong with a kirby I would go on OKorder or something and see what they run. Even one that is ten years old can be fixed up at the local Kirby shop. I would definately file a complaint against the salesmen, they are very good but that is ridiculous.
Q:What do you think about the vacuums with the steam cleaners, like the Shark for an example?if you can provide a website along with your answer, that would be greatThanks
Best okorder /... Riccar and Sebo are two other highly rated vacuum cleaners, though I have not used them personally to offer any thoughts. If you're on a budget, then you will want to look at the offerings of Bissell and Hoover. Both have models in the $100 to $150 range that do a decent job, but make no mistake, these are low end vacuums that you'll be lucky to get a few years of service from before needing to replace them. I can tell you unequivocally that Eureka and Dirt Devil are brands to avoid.
Q:My moms friend offered to give me some work here and there since I cant find a job. He has his own business of cleaning large businesses. He called me and told me he could use my help vacuuming the ceiling at a grocery store. He just asked if I was afraid of heights because quot;we'll be between 12-16 feet up on a lift vacuuming the ceiling, nothing major. Is it just a regular vacuum with a wand?
you can always give it a try
Q:especially for philips brand vacuum cleaners
try it in Mock Kong ( may my spelling is wrong ).. near hong kong.... been once where u can find any thing .... it very cheap... there... buddy just try and write to me on this.... bye !!
Q:I know that most cats are afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but when we vacuum our adult cat will hide for hours on end. We have dark carpet so we vacuum almost every other day. It took him 4 hours to come out from behind our table, and when I coaxed him to me, he just sat frozen next to me and stared at the vacuum that was across the room. He was literally shivering at the sight of it. When I went to put it away, he went back under the table. I cannot get him to come back out. I've tried leaving him in another room while I vacuum, but he knows how to open doors and hates being shut up in our room or the bathroom. Last time I tried, he opened the bathroom door and then bolted under the table. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I have to vacuum frequently, but I feel guilty when I do because he is so afraid. We have had him for about 2 weeks and are still trying to figure him out. Is this normal cat behavior, or are most cats simply bothered by vacuums?
Two weeks isn't long enough for him to get used to the new sites and sounds. Let him hide where ever he wants when you vacuum. Let him come out in his own time, but talk to him and let him know you are there for him. Patience is very important, it may take a year, or he may never get used to the loud sound. Do your normal activities and don't be quiet, this might help him get used to normal everyday things going on in your home.
Q:Preferbly cheap
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Vacuum you can also find it on OKorder uk
Q:So we see here and there that bagless vacuum cleaners are better for environment but what are the reasons behind it like in more clear details other than the basics (i.e. less waste, manufacturing, paper use).....
Because it doesn't create trash, and trash is bad for the universe.
Q:Do they have a problem going from hardwood to carpeted floors. Do they pick up as well as a traditional vacuum? Of six answeres to my original question, three were positive, three negative. Please send me more details.
They will go from room to room if there is nothing in the path of it. They are great if you have open spaces no kids or animals. They are a great invention if as I said you dont have those things.
