Q:what is curtain wall?

A curtain wall is a non structural outer shell for an internally supported structure. They are non load bearing as they are in masonry or wood frame buildings where exterior walls are part of the support structure. Non load bearing interior walls are not considered curtain walls, just partition walls. For example,a modern skyscraper is supported by a steel skeleton & the curtain walls just hang from it to keep weather out. Basically , you can remove them entirely & the building will still stand. I did it with tension rods inside the window, also I saw in home depot they have some type of bracket that attaches to the inside of the window but gives the impression of a regular rod

Q:I know this may sound like a silly question.....My walls are caramel, almost look like a light taupe and the curtains I just purchased are tan. I wanted chocolate but these particular curtains are the best I can find to block out light/heat from the windows. The wall color and the curtains are neutral but I keep looking at it and still wonder. Call me crazy!Thanks

I might suggest matching the curtains to the carpet. (Pun not inherently intended.) Or even if perhaps you could find a curtain with the carpet color, but also a bit of one or both of the colors of the couch. I wouldn't necessarily suggest going with a completely different color, however a chocolate brown might go nice.

Q:hey there we just currently painted our computer room a dark cherry red colour, the floors are a darker hardwood and the ceiling is white, the computer is black and i have a painting with a gold trim to place on the wall. now the only dilemma is the colour of the curtains?!! we cannot decide and i was wondering if anyone would like to offer an opinion..and if so, any good colours for the spare bedroom? we are thinking we want another bold colour for the spare room but we are unsure of what colour just yet and the hardwood in the spare room is light wood. thanks~!

gold,sage green, or a milky way color (taupe,etc...) a black round rod would tie in with the computer desk.... All the colors I mentioned above goes with red :O)
