- if you are looking for a good rug you should know or learn the differences ...wool is the best but it should be worsted so it doesnt shrink as much or bleed colors.alot of those rugs are hand made which is good but alot are manufactured so be careful also beware of the prices obviously you have a laptop so do a lot of research on carpets their textiles and history of area rugs you can get some real good bargains but you will have haggle and jew them down on thier prices cause if they are say asking 200.00 you should pay no more than 90 to 100 understand happy rug hunting
- Q:Okay so for the past few years I've been making latch hook rugs. They take up too much space and I was wondering if there is a way to sell these? I don't really have people to sell them to, and I was wondering how one would go about getting rid of these projects while not throwing away all your cash. I am afraid to sell them on OKorder because someone might accidentally be deceived and think that it was an unfinished latch hook kit, and be surprised to find a completely finished rug at their doorstep. Any suggestions?
- There okorder is another site where people sell completed handcrafts. If you have consignment shops in your area, they may be willing to sell the rugs for you. I have some that I've hung on the wall as art, and I have also used some as tops for chair cushions or throw pillows. Unfortunately, though, in general this is one of the class of craft projects where the unused kit often sells for more than the completed item. If selling doesn't work out, you may wish to restrict yourself to rug projects where you have a specific use or recipient in mind, or else put some of your energy into a less expensive craft like friendship bracelets, for instance. - I think rugs are fantastic and can be used in any room. The centre a space and people just love to dig their toes in! You just need to be careful what you buy. A plain fluffy rug thats just one colour will work best with any carpet base. If you have just plain white carpet with no patterns you could go for a pattern just make sure the colours you chose complement your other accessories or are in them.

- Q:Will skateboarding on carpet ( or maybe anyhting) with just the skateboard deck ,( no wheels, trucks), improve the actual tricks on the real thing? Thanks.
- No, it will not help you at all. I can triple kickflip on a trampoline with just the deck but rarely get a double kickflip on pavement with trucks and wheels. They have a completely different feel. I wouldn't recommend getting used to skating on carpet, cause then you will have to relearn the tricks on pavement that you learned on carpet cause they have to be done a little bit differently on pavement.
- Q:should horses (in summer) always or most of the time wear a kool coat/sheet?if so why is this essential?
- My mare runs around naked just about all year long. Sheets in the summer are not essential. They are helpful, especially if you are in a high insect area. Some people put sheets on their light colored horses, especially a day or two before shows, to keep them cleaner. Some people say that they do help the horse stay cooler, but I have not experienced this. Sunburn is not generally a problem with the body of the horse, but many horses with pink skin may have problems, especially around the eyes and nose. Sunblock will help with this.
- Q:Can anyone tell me if it is tacky to use a large carpet remnant as an area rug rather than buying a regular rug? I'm on a pretty tight budget, and I need a LARGE (10x10 ish) rug for our living room. Regular rugs that large are several hundred dollars. What do you think? Any other suggestions?
- Not tacky! I was wondering about the edges though... Will they look worn out after some time? I guess it depends on the quality of the carpet. Have you considered buying a used rug? Check out second-hand shops, Salvation Army shops, garage sales ect - plus ads in the local newspaper. Or you could place an ad yourself?
- Q:I was hoovering today and I took a closer look at the carpet when I realised my carpet is full of little white cm long bugs. I searched on google and they are saying it is carpet bettle larve. But looki g at the pictures of these beetle larve they look nothing like them. To give you a picture they are pure white cilinder shapes that have a sort of tuft on each end. They are a cm long and I'd expect a mm in diameter. Please help
