Q:Brown stuff coming out of holes. How do I get it out and clean bottom of iron??
hahaha Oh Dear William! Unplug your iron. Make sure your iron setting is at ‘Stream’. Run clear water through your iron a number of times. The water should run out through the steam holes in the iron plate. Then mix a solution of 1 cup water with 1/3 cup white vinegar and pour into your iron and the solution will run through the steam holes on the iron plate. Plug in your iron and turn it on to ’steam’. Pour the water-white vinegar solution into the iron and press the ’Steam” button, letting the the water-white vinegar solution spew through, the iron. This will thoroughly clean out the inside of the iron and will not damage it. Once all the water-vinegar has all steamed out of the iron by you continuously pressing the “steam” button, this will cause all the water to run out of your iron and once it stops spewing, you can add regular water as usual and iron again. Using a cloth, use the water-vinegar solution to clean the outside of your iron. Once all is clean then add regular water to the iron. You can now iron with your clean iron. Good luck.
Q:I bought prenatal vitamins (Nature Made) that are high in folic acid (800 mcg), iron (27 mg) and zinc. I heard from somewhere that it is not good to take prenatal vitamins that have too much iron. Is that true? Is 27 mg of iron too much? If it is too much, what should be the maximum dosage of iron a day?
if they are prenatal vitamins then that is what they are designed for they should be fine until you're doctor can prescribe a vitamin that he or she feels is right for you you will be tested to see if you are anemic and then they will decide how much iron you need it varies I was anemic during my first pregnancy and am not this time so good for you on getting vitamins in the first place that is a great start!! btw too much iron can cause constipation ugh!! have a great pregnancy
Q:common phrase of iron side effect
Not sure exactly what you are asking for, but common side effects of iron supplements include black or green tarry stools. Side effects can be lessened by taking iron between meals. Also, if iron supplements are in liquid form, be sure to use a straw (to avoid staining teeth). Iron should not be taken with dairy products or antacids, and should be taken with vitamin C. Hope this helps!
Q:I‘m donating blood and they told me to eat lots of fruits veggies high in iron
spinach lentils chickpeas oranges banana kale broccoli collard greens mustard greens soybeans avocado pumpkin butternut squash all nuts too-peanut butterp, peanuts, almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts etc
Q:My iron is currently at 9.4 an I was just put on extra iron supplements. It has been dropping since about 32 weeks. 30 weeks 14.632 weeks 11.734 weeks 10.735 weeks 9.4How will low iron affect my baby? Will I be induced early if my iron doesn‘t go back up?
I had very low iron with my first, it was so low that I was fainting so much from it. This second pregnancy it is somewhat low again and they have no intention of inducing me because of low iron, they didn't with the first either. Remember baby gets what they need from your body, and then you get the leftovers. The best thing to do if you get faintly feeling like I did is to eat more protein than anything else at your meals, especially breakfast time! Also you say you are taking iron supplement and its still dropping, try taking a liquid iron. I know the only kind my body would absorb was the liquid iron and the brand was floridax. I could only find that at a health food store.
Q:What are foods with iron in them? :)
Red meat and liver are 2 sources. If your blood test shows that your iron levels are low it's likely that you're not getting enough B12 or copper. If you really want to balance this out see a Naturopath or a Holistic Nutritionist. Family doctors are absolutely not experts on nutrition. They get no training in it at med school.
Q:When you take iron and sulphurs particles and add them up the change them into iron sulfide. Why does it still have the same amount of particles?
The reaction is probably: 2Fe(s) + 3S(s) -- Fe2S3(s) When you say amount of particles, that's imprecise. Do you mean number, mass, or what? I assume you mean number. I also wonder if by particles you mean atoms. Because there's no way you're going to end up with the same number of particles in that reaction. Let me expain: If this reaction involved molecules - separate particles - you definitely wouldn't end up with the same number of particles. For every five reactant particles you started out with, you would end up with one particle of product. BUT this is not a reaction involving molecules, it is a reaction involving ions. And ions aren't usually present as separate particles; they're present as a network solid - a chunk of ions all lined up together in an orderly matrix. The problem is that even if the chunk counts as one particle, you are STILL starting with two chunks and ending up with one. If the question is, why does it still have the same number of atoms, that's easy: because the atoms don't get created or destroyed during the reaction, they just get rearranged. If you look at the equation, there are two Fe's to start with and two at the end of the reaction as well - the only difference is that before the reaction happens, the Fe's are stuck together. and after the reaction, they're separated from each other and instead combined with S's. I hope this helps.
Q:I have jeans that I do not want to shrink, so I am hang-drying them rather than tumble-drying them. Once they are dry, can I iron them, or will the heat cause them to shrink?
Yes you can iron them and no the heat from the iron will not cause the jeans to shrink. Only washing clothes in hot water can decrease clothes size.
Q:what does iron do for you?
the exhaust did,nt do it. i had new exhaust put on my car and it did,nt hurt my car.
