Q:Do aluminum cans melt in typical campfires? I know the melting point is about 660 Celsius but do campfires get that high? I thought it would just be that the can becomes disfigured and collapses due to the heat, not due to it melting. Even if it did melt in the fire how would you find the remains? The can in a liquid form would certainly not be confined to one part of the fire and therefore wouldn't solidify in a small pool to see if it had melted or not. Any ideas?
Campfires would not get that hot. However, even if they were hot enought, the aluminum in the can would not melt. It would oxidize before it had a chance to and turn into a white powder that migles among the ashes.
Q:How are the aluminum plates cut?
Laser cutting can be combined with the above advantages, but the price is relatively high. A thicker aluminum sheet (above 6mm) is usually used in electric saws.
Q:I know 7005 series aluminum is stronger and lighter than 6061series, but how does 7005 compare to 2014 series?

Q:I was quoted $5000+ to upgrade my house from 100A electric service to 400A. Part of the reason for the high cost is the cost of copper. What size copper wire is needed for 400A, and how much does it cost per foot? Would it be a lot cheaper to use aluminum wire?
Yeah, aluminum isn't allowed in new or renovated construction. The size of cable needed for 400A will be determined by the service provider. Probably 4/0 size cable. New service means a new panel and new wiring. 14/2 is suitable for lighting and general receptacle use up to 15A, but 20A is required for all kitchen outlets, so use 12/2. If you use 12/2 throughout, be sure to use 20 amp breakers in the panel. Since 14/2 is only rated up to 15A, if you use 14/2 with 20 amp breakers, you run the risk of overheating and causing a fire.
Q:Is aluminum sheet fire-resistant?
Although aluminum sheet is not inherently fire-resistant, it exhibits specific properties that grant it superior fire resistance compared to alternative materials. One such property is its high melting point, enabling it to endure elevated temperatures without melting or igniting. Another advantage is its low thermal conductivity, which limits heat transfer and impedes the spread of fire across the sheet. Nevertheless, it is crucial to acknowledge that aluminum can still be affected by fire. Exposure to extreme heat may cause it to weaken and compromise its structural integrity. Additionally, certain chemicals or intense flames can render aluminum more susceptible to burning. To enhance the fire resistance of aluminum sheet, one can apply fire-retardant materials or treat it with fire-resistant coatings. These supplementary measures serve to further minimize the risk of fire and enhance the overall fire performance of the sheet. In conclusion, while aluminum sheet is not entirely fire-resistant, it possesses certain attributes that contribute to its heightened resistance compared to other materials. Nonetheless, it is imperative to exercise appropriate precautions and apply additional fire-resistant treatments when necessary to ensure optimal safety.
Q:What does 1060h/24 mean in aluminium alloy?
Each digit in the 1060-H24 stands for the following meanings:First, a number of Arabia 1 is representative of pure aluminum (aluminum is aluminum content above 99% aluminum, in addition to the beginning and start with 2-8 are 2### for copper and aluminum magnesium alloy, 3### aluminum manganese alloy, 4### alloy, 5### alloy and so on)Two, second, Arabia number 0, said the original alloy, such as 1, said the original alloy after a modification, 2 means that the original alloy after two modificationsThree, third and four 60 two Arabia data represent the value behind pure aluminum content of 99% per cent in pure aluminum, said 60 pure aluminum aluminum content of 99.60%, as the standard 1050 indicates the aluminum content of pure aluminum, 99.50% of the 1070 said that the aluminum content of 99.70% pure aluminum alloy in the back.
Q:Can 101 aluminum sheets be used in aerospace applications?
Yes, 101 aluminum sheets can be used in aerospace applications. 101 aluminum is a commonly used alloy in the aerospace industry due to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, high corrosion resistance, and good formability. It is often used for structural components, such as aircraft skins, wings, and fuselage panels. Additionally, 101 aluminum sheets can be easily machined and welded, making them ideal for aerospace applications where precision and durability are crucial.
Q:The idea that you can adequately protect yourself from the Alien and government thought transmissions with a 'tin-foil / aluminum hat is just a myth. The correct and real thing to use is an aluminum construction site type of hard-hat. That is why the government and all major defense contractors wore aluminum hard-hats back in the 1950's. The plastic and fiber glass hard-hats that they use now is only because the Aliens got wise to the old aluminum hard-hat trick and outlawed them after the Aliens and their Illuminati minions took over after President Truman got out of office. Everyone knows that.So does any company anywhere in the world currently defy the Alien’s production ban on aluminum hard hats? Or is e-bay and garage sales the only source of aluminum construction site hard hats?
are u serious? remember that aliens are demons. most of the time dreams are from the devil. so, don't believe in dreams. antichrist is pale with red eyes and wears gloves just like jigsaw from saw movie. but antichrist makes fire come down from the sky and moves at the speed of light 'cause demons (who appear as angels of light) carry him. mark of the beast is similar to the in time movie tattoo. when people stretch hands to receive small grey world passport, this 666 tattoo is given by lasers. chips and electronic tattoos are ways to track people to laser them. food stores will be set up to laser people. police will laser people on highways. those who go to be healed in ufo ships by demons will become spiritual zombies.
Q:A sample of aluminum and a sample of steel have superficially identical microstructures. Which would you expect to be stronger, and why?
By stronger I am assuming you mean it has a higher sheer point... Yes, standard iron-carbon alloys do have a higher sheer point because of the carbon atom placement in the lattice. You see, whenever a ferrous alloy is cooled rapidly, carbon atoms dont have time to move away from the iron, which is also known as ferrite. The steel becomes so rigid that the carbon atoms become trapped in the lattice as the iron atoms try to transform the cubic structure. The result is a structure where the carbon atom is an interstitial member. This makes it a tetragonal structure(martensitic), which takes allot of energy to sheer. This is not the only way, though, as there are a number of heat-treatment cycles for altering the structure of steel.
Q:Does it make any difference shiny side up, shiny side down when it comes to cooking with aluminum foil?
The dull/shiny question was on the top of their list! Aren't you glad this answer is out in the open now?!
