Q:If 75grams of oxygen react, how many grams of aluminum are required?
Aluminium oxide is Al2O3, so there are 3 oxygen atoms for every 2 aluminium atoms. Divide 75 by the relative atomic mass of oxygen (15.9994). That is proportional to the number of oxygen atoms. Then divide by 3 and multiply by 2. This gives a number proportional to the number of aluminium atoms. Then multiply this by the relative atomic mass of aluminium (26.981529) to give the mass of aluminium required in grams.
Q:Can aluminum plates be welded with stainless steel or iron nuts?
Upstairs is quite right! Even with brazing, it's hard to operate without experience
Q:Why does Aluminum rust is electron orbitals?
'Rusting' commonly refers to the corrosion (oxidation) of iron so when talking about other metals, it is better to use the term 'corrosion' or 'oxidation'. Aluminum can corrode and the fact that it has a general oxidation number of +3 doesn't really matter. Many elements which have a charge that is different from +2 can oxidize. Alkali metals for instance (which have a charge of +1) can oxidize. Lithium can form lithium oxide (Li2O), sodium can form sodium oxide (Na2O) and so on. However, aluminum is known to be quite resistant to corrosion (oxidation) because it spontaneously forms a thin (solid) oxide layer at it's surface protecting it from further oxidation whereas iron, for an example, will easily lose that thin layer (it ''peels off easily'') exposing more iron to corrosion. So since Al has a +3 charge and O has a -2 charge, you'll need 2 atoms of Al and 3 atoms of O to make an electrically neutral compound. 2 atoms of Al = +6 charge 3 atoms of O = -6 charge Hence Al2O3 which is aluminum oxide. I hope it helps.
Q:What type of aluminum plate does it contain?
1 * * * series aluminum sheet: stands for 1050, 1060, 1100. In all series, the 1 x x series belongs to a series with the largest amount of aluminum. Purity can reach more than 99%.2 * * * series aluminum sheet: 2A16 (LY16) and 2A06 (LY6). The characteristics of 2 * * * series of aluminum is high hardness, which belongs to the copper content is the highest, about 3-5%.
Q:Wonderland hard aluminum
Wrought iron platform made 3 aluminum alloy with a hard aluminumAluminum + granite can also be synthesized
Q:how reliable are today's aluminum block engines?
Aluminum is the most easily repaired material used in engines and can be readily welded. The problem is access and/or does the repair threaten to go into a machined area such as a cylinder wall? If I was really short of cash I might even try filling a groove with jb weld. A crack goes deeper though and requires a more thorough fix. Are you sure this is an aluminum block? Iron is much harder to fix, probably can't be done without spending more that a replacement engine would cost. If it is aluminum, I would have to towed out of there and find myself another garage.
Q:Painting on aluminium .?
Prep and clean with vinegar
Q:Doesn't the acidity of soda drinks dissolve aluminium cans?
Because of the aluminum chemical properties. Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) is an extremely hard and compact material, so when the metal is exposed, it gets a very thin coat of Al2O3 that has a 9 hardness (only diamond is harder), that protects the rest of the metal from the atmosphere. Also, you should question if the phosphoric acid actually attacks aluminum, that is because that acid is found in Pepsi and coke..., BUT, as far as i know cans have a little plastic coat inside..., so the liquid does not get in touch with the aluminum.
Q:How many molecules are in 1 square foot of aluminum foil?
Since aluminum foil is an amalgamation of various metals you would first need to know the full chemical breakdown in order to determine how many molecules there are in a square foot of aluminum foil. That said, if your foil was 100% aluminum, you could determine the number of AL atoms by first determining the mass of the foil and dividing by the molecular weight of AL. Multiply that by 6.022 x 10^23 to determine the number of atoms.
Q:Aluminum Foil's 'Dull' Side: Myth or Not?
that is a myth, the only difference might be how much heat is reflected. Go to Discovery or Metacafe and type How it is made, aluminum foil and you will see why it is a myth.
