Main Features

1. High strength: The corn silo wall is reinforced by vertical stiffener and occluded by screw beam. It has great strength and good resistance to wind, earthquake and snow.

2. Good sealing function: Crimping and seaming of five-layer spiral steel plates ensures airproof, so our corn silo can be used to store construction materials such as cement, gypsum, fly ash and slag, as well as liquids.

3. Small area occupancy: The smallest distance between corn silo amounts to 600mm.

4. Short construction cycle: High-level automatic construction at site, Need only 5-6 days for a 1,000 tons corn silo.

5. Long working life: 25-30 years, achieved by best combination of plates of different thickness for corn silo body.

6. Nice appearance: The roof is subulate and is not easy to accumulate dust or water. The bin is shining and observable with silvery lines.

Q:Why do people make so many silos in some areas of Australia? What is the point of this?
Silos are used to store Grain etc. Most silos would be in areas where they are used ie. near farming area or near ports(for export). The reason why there are so many of them, Wheat (as one example) is one of Australia's largest industries. A lot of wheat etc equals a lot of silos.
Q:A silo is in the shape of a right circular cylinder with a hemispherical cap. Determine the radius r of the silo if the height of the silo is 25 ft. and the volume is 935 ft^3 . Write a function for the volume of the silo in terms of the radius.
V = pi*(r^2)*h + (2/3)*pi*(r^2) just plug in for height and volume to solve for radius I got r^2 = ~36.43
Q:I'm a 19 y/o guy and getting tired of af/aehahaha yahoo answers recommended putting this question in lesbian/gay section. do you think express men is gay (like literally gay)
Neaman okorder /. Also Clavin Klein, J Crew, GUESS, Banana Republic, French Connection, IZOD, Lacoste, Kenneth Cole, Ralph Lauren, Ben Sherman, Phillip Lim etc. And if it's gay that's awesome because gay men have good taste! xD
Q:Hello, I am from PA and I have a huge barn and cement silo I would like to remove off my property. Does anyone know where I could research to find potential buyers for these items. I am more concerned about the cement silo. I have a few people interested in the barn but I am not sure what to do with the cement silo. I don't know if this was something people would be interested in or if it is an item I should just dispose of.
the barn people will take down for the wood but the silo is going to be hard to get rid of
Q:I'm a little paranoid, and I'm just wondering. I would like something to protect me from a direct hit from a nuclear warhead. Also, laws and ordinances around bunkers and where you can build them would be helpful.
It depends on how paranoid you are. If you think the North Koreans are out to get YOU specifically it's very hard and beyond the capabilities of normal people. Especially sane normal people. You can't build a Cheyenne Mountain in your back yard. I've seen people who were paranoid enough and rich enough to build a fallout shelter. Build a sturdy house and put a thick reinforced concrete slab under it. If you live in a northern climate don't forget a gigantic heating oil tank, along with provisions and water and an air filter. Airtight doors are nice too, as is a strategic position on top of a hill with lots of surrounding agricultural land. Don't forget weapons and a SM chamber attached to it so you can stay entertained (the people who built the one I worked at were fcuking insane in the membrane). Expect $100k for a good setup plus the rest of the house. Psychotherapy is probably cheaper. EDIT: North Korea has nothing to gain by nuking you specifically. Really they have nothing to gain by nuking anybody; it's a poker game. Go back to whatever meaningless distractions get you through the day.
Q:My teacher never explained how to do these problems in our class and he expects it to be done tomorrow. Please some help me with these two questions, I'm at a lost.1) A grain silo consists of cylindrical main section and a hemispherical roof. If the total volume of the silo (including the part inside the roof section) is 15,000 ft^3 and the cylindrical part is 30 ft tall, what is the radius of the silo, correct to the nearest tenth of a foot?2) A box with a square base has length plus firth of 108 in. What is the length of its volume in 2200 in^3?
I hope you're meant to do this by calculator, because solving a cubic looks like this: www.math.vanderbilt.edu/~schectex... TI-83 et al. have a solve button - check your calculator's manual for instructions on using it. 1) Volume of a cylinder = π r^2 h Volume of a sphere = 4/3 π r^3 Note that because the cylinder meets the hemisphere at a great circle, they have the same radius. Total volume of the silo = 2/3 π r^3 + π r^2 h 15,000 = 2/3 π r^3 + 30 π r^2 r^3 + 45r^2 - 22500/π = 0 2) too many typos. firth = height? x + y = 108 x^2 y = 2200 x^2(108 - x) = 2200 0 = x^3 - 108 x^2 + 2200
Q:A farmer's silo is the shape of a cylinder with a hemisphere as the roof. If the radius of the hemisphere is 10 feet and the height of the silo is h feet, express the volume of the silo as a function of h.
v = (4/3) * pi *10^3 /2 + pi*10^2 * h = pi*10^2 * (h + 20/3) = 100pi * (h + 20/3)
Q:In the map there are two silos and someone managed to get on top of one of them and have a field day sniping people. How do i get on top of the silos or was it simply a lucky glitch? I play on xbox live...
Are you talking about the building where there is a truck inside? And there is a glass ceiling ? If that's it, you have to take a motorbike and get to the second floor with it. It's hard to explain. You need someone to show you.
Q:How are Missile silos constructed? how are they converted to homes? and how much would a missile silo cost for the public to buy? I need exact answers.. and if you could, send me a website link to where you got your knowledge about missile silos.. ^_^ Thank you for those who take my question seriously... (It's extra credit for science and I really need the extra credit...)

Q:A silo(base not included) is to be constructed in the form of cylinder surmounted by a hemisphere. The cost of the construction per square unit of surface area is 9 times for the hemisphere as it is for the cylindrical sidewall. determine the dimensions to be used if the volume is fixed at 10000 cubic units and the cost of construction is to be kept to a minimum. neglect the thickness of the silo and waste of the construction. a)what is the function of the silo C in terms of the radius rb)what is the interval of interest of the objective functionc)what is the radius of the cylindrical base(and of the hemisphere) d)the height of the cylindrical base thx
A = 2πrh + 2πr^2, and if we take sidewall as unit cost C = 2πrh + 18πr^2, ....................(1) but we need this in terms of radius only, so we use V = πr^2h + (2/3)πr^3 2V/r = 2πrh + (4/3)πr^2 2πrh = 20,000r^(-1) - (4/3)πr^2 ...(2) C = 20,000/r + [18 - (4/3)]πr^2 C = 20,000r^(-1) + (50/3) πr^2 [This is (a)] As to what is the interval of interest of the objective function; it might mean what range of r might be used to graph C(r) to include the required minimum. C cannot be less than zero, and the cube root of 20000 is about 27, so you could use 0 < r < 25 dC/dr = (100/3)πr – 20000/r^2 = 0 for min r = (600/π)^(1/3) ~ 5.75882 units [This is (c), base and hemisphere] V/πr^2 = h + 2r/3 h = 1000/ πr^2 - 2r/3 ~ 92.141 units [This is (d)] Regards – Ian H
