High Purity High Density Copper Alloy Bar Application:
Produced by low-vacuum copper smelting casting technology with its intellectual property right; high density and high purity product with low hydrogen and oxygen content, usually processed into copper products of various shapes and widely applied in steelmaking, electric power, shipbuilding, and machinery sectors
- Q:I know copper is needed to maintain a healthy body but does it produce a little or is intake of food and such the only way to get copper into the body?
- Copper is an element and for the purposes of biology as basic a chemical as there is. Therefore you cannot make it and you must take it in through your diet.
- Q:Ok, I used a copper brush to clean my AR bolt. And when I did, the bolt changed copper-colored everywhere the brush touched. Now, a month later, I get te impression that the thing looks like rust. I did the old "wipe down the surface with a copper solvent soaked cloth" thing (which turns copper blue/green and rust red...) and I got light black coating on the cloth instead of red or green. After like 2 more patches, the cloth came out perfectly clean but the bolts color didn't change.-- almost. It kinda had a bluish tinge to it but it was negligible... Help?
- Try a stainless steel tooth brush and some Shooters Choice or Hoppes and see if that takes it off. The problem is the copper wire is softer than the steel in the bolt so instead of cleaning the bolt you actually deposited copper on the metal. One other option is to use Sweet 7.62 and a nylon brush but I would caution you. You must have the time to do it correctly and you cant really leave once you start because if you leave this stuff on the metal to long it will actually etch the surface. After you apply some, scrub it a with a nylon brush and let it sit for few minutes, you have to remove it then use solvent or oil to neutralize he remnants. And throw those copper brushes away.
- Q:I have a project due Monday and I have no idea which copper is scarce or abundant. And if you know the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons it contains tha would a big help to!
- Copper is a fairly abundant element. It's atomic number is 29, so 29 protons/29 electrons to find out how many neutrons are in a copper molecule, subtract the atomic number of the element from the atomic weight 63.546 - 29 = 34.546, so 34 neutrons.
- Q:Which kind of copper pipes would used in water construction?I want to the pipe size (diameter and thickness) ,the standard and the grade. If you can help me it will be so nice.
- Copper is very expensive and would not be recommended for standard ISP water piping applications. Copper tubing is of much thinner wall than pipe and has been used extensively in the past in sizes 3/4 OD and smaller. However Sched 40 plastic pipe has generally replaced it in domestic and commercial use because of lower material cost, the elimination of solder joints bearing lead and its overall improved ease of construction.
- Q:Ive heard alot of things having to deal with copper that im not sure are true or not, what does copper do to the human body. I dont mean if its ingested i mean if its worn, like copper jewelery that claims to relieve joint pain. What does it REALLY do?
- Copper is present in all tissues. The average adult body contains about 80 to 120mg of copper, of which most of it is stored in the liver. It is an important catalyst in the formation of the oxygen-carrying molecule hemoglobin. Chronically elevated copper levels in most patients may result from one-sided diets that lack co-factors or copper antagonists, or from the fact that many copper-rich foods are somewhat addictive, such as cocoa / chocolate products, colas, coffee, or tea (copper levels are even higher in tea than in coffee). Copper Toxicity or excessive copper levels have been associated with physical and mental fatigue, depression and other mental problems, schizophrenia, learning disabilities, hyperactivity / ADD, mood swings (sometimes violent, criminal or psychotic behavior) and general behavioral problems, memory and concentration problems, postpartum depression, vascular degeneration, headaches, increased risk of infections, sleep disorders, arthritis, spinal / muscle / joint aches and pains, hemangiomas and several cancers.
- Q:Originally my hair is black, but recently I had it bleached and it turned copper (reasonably enough...) I'm not too happy with it, I don't have much money to go to a salon and get it done again, so I'm thinking will my hair turn into a funny color if I just buy black hair dye and dye it back to black again?Additional Question: And will it go weird if I dyed over the copper with a dark golden brown?
- Get the blackest black you can find, dye it. Follow directions, leave on as long as it says. It may seem a little dark at first but it will fade as you wash it. Don't mess with brown. It would be better if you could go to a professional. There are schools of hair design you can go to that are cheaper.
- Q:i want to magnatite a copper vessel.....i mean if i want to convert copper into magnet, what chemical shall i use, i heard that , ferrous oxide will do the work..but if so, what is the melting point and where do i find this chemical in india...pls give me full details
- You can't make a magnet out of copper. Only Iron and Nikkel (and their alloys, and less often derived chemicals from these) can be magnetised, and it is not a chemical process. Rather it is done by exposing them to a strong magnetic field. ferrous oxide (Magnetite) is an Iron compound that is naturally magnetic. It can be mixed with other chemicals to make a magnetic fluid, but I am not sure whether can be made to dry and stick to another surface. If it does, the object will no longer look like it's made of copper. The best you can do is to coat your vessel in a thin layer of Iron or Nikkel, and then magenetise it (by stroking it with another magnet). But then you might have the same problem, your vessel will not look like copper. If you go through all this trouble you can just as well use magnetic paint. I am not sure were to get that in India, but it is available here (in South Africa) in DIY shops. People buy it to paint walls in a kids playroom, so that they can write on it with cryons, and stick magnetic objects to it.
- Q:I am purchasing a home with copper and galvanized pipes. I need to install dielectric unions between the two pipes. Should I spend a little now or a lot now to repipe to all copper?
- Rip it all out and start again. Trust me. What is expensive today is cheap tomorrow. I have done this move with every property i have ever done and its the best way. I have seen people put it off and put it off and it costs more, and more upheaval, plus risking old corroded pipes with your new gear in your house (leaking radiator water onto your new flatscreen and PS3? Not worth the risk!) You could do it in PolyPipe (gray, bit like Hep20 but better fittings) to save time of installlation but for my own houses i have always always done it in copper throughout. Old fashioned by some new engineers standards but hey- its my home - and a copper soldered union lasts decades tried and tested if done right! Plastic? Potentially yes, but still.....its not time tested in the field. Polypipe is good stuff tho and thats the one i would be confident in in the plastic range. Good luck and if you want any more tec info just ask! Plumbing and Heating engineer for 12 years and have seen every combination of pipe tecniques going! Copper, brass, and galv dont mix, launch it mate! Do it now before you get settled in and the floorboards are bare or have carpet you dont really care about! PLUMBASE (not plumbcenter) and WATERMARK are two very good stockists and do quality copper gear way cheaper than the competition.
- Q:Air conditioning outside a copper pipe with water droplets, only with no water drops, how is it?
- The air conditioning copper a bead is formed due to the moisture in the air cooling pipe temperature encountered, there is water here is not good insulation, thermal insulation pipe is probably not in place, the white light Chan tape is useless, the need to increase the insulation pipe or wrapped with other insulation material here is not good, so the air conditioning will not have water leakage.
- Q:I know how to fix the leak. What I don‘t know is if there still should be pressure when the valve is shut off. Is that a bigger problem that I should have a professional check out or is the pressure, when the faucet is off, just the result of the hole in the pipe?
