Q:How to remove orange juice from my rug?
If it has removed the color, you cannot fix that. Do you happen to have a piece of that rug left over? If so, you can replace the section in your rug that has been damaged by actually carefully cutting out a piece and replacing it with another. If you have some of the rug, just make sure you keep the direction of the pile the same in the piece you insert. I have done this to remove a stain ifrom a new rug and the piece was still there and unnoticeable years later when I sold the house.
Q:What are rugs made of and why?
rugs are made of Animal or plant fibers, including wool, cotton, sisal, jute, seagrass or bamboo. Man-made material such as viscose, rayon, nylon, acrylic or polypropylene/olefin can also be used.
Q:How do i get my cat to stop peeing on the bathroom rug?
hmm is it a rug around the toliet? if you have males in the house who miss their intended target it could be the cat pickin up on that scent and marking thinking there is another cat around.
Q:carpet cleaning?
One thing that always works and is inexpensive as well. Rubbing alcohol. Here's how you do it: Pour and I mean really pour the rubbing alcohol on to the carpet and completely soak the stain. Then fold up a few paper towels and put directly on the stain. Find some books that are really heavy...like phone books or anything that will cover the stain and let it sit for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, replace the paper towels and do again. Keep doing this until no more stain comes out on to the paper towels. This works, but does take some time. By the way, rubbing alcohol will never hurt the carpet.
Q:what is the carpet under the tea table in living room used for?
Decorate
Q:what things should I look for when buying an area rug?
first of all, are you looking for an heirloom piece? Try oriental rugs or persian rugs. Very costly. Can set you back a couple grand but will increase in value over time. you need to look behind the rug for the quality. You are looking for handstitched and lots of detail, etc. The most important characteristic for me is durability and washability. Some you can put into the washer, others need special cleaners, some are spot clean only. The second characteristic important to me is texture. I like plush soft carpets that you can walk on with your bare feet. Of course, color choice and design are important. (floral? transitional? contemporary?) I like transitional. I'm a fan of Mohawk and Shaw area rugs. You can find them at Home Depot. Reasonable prices for machine made rugs.
Q:How do I get a puppy urine smell out of my shag area rug?
Saturate the area with a spray called ODOBAN. Wal-Mart under the Febreeze only it actually works and it is cheaper. I use it in my boys' bathroom as they are smelly little buggers.
Q:one of my cats just started using an area rug to do her job on?
When you find out let me know! The same thing happend with my cat. He will poop on any mat or rug i buy. Now he just poops on the floor and wont poop in his box at all. We have tried EVERYTHING, but we love him and would never get rid of him so we have accepted it.
Q:How to distinguish between good and bad of the carpet?
There are two kinds of expression parameters, conversion formula: 1 ounce \ square yard = 34 g \ square meter 3, the pullout force of the carpet decides whether the carpet loses hair easily, the larger the pullout force, the less easily the carpet loses hair, on the contrary, the smaller the pullout force, the pull out the smaller, the more easily the carpet to lose hair. The abrasion resistance of the carpet in the fixed pressure... On the other hand, the discharge in certain occasions may cause harm, by hand touch (texture), feel density. the pullout force of carpets is seen by people's eyes (square yards = 34 grams \ square meter 3. abrasion resistance carpet under fixed pressure. On the one hand, electrostatic accumulation results in dust absorption, bacteria erosion and deterioration, and it has connection with the thickness of the carpet, on the contrary, such carpets have good elastic.
Q:Is it better for a horse's rug to be too hot or too cold?
This is why it's better not to rug at all - horses can regulate their own body temperature quite well if they're left to grow a natural coat. That said... a rugged horse can keep himself warm easier than he can keep himself cool. He can move around, he can turn his butt to the wind, he can shiver - which gets him warm without harming him. He uses more energy, true, but he IS warm. Warm enough so he won't be hurt by it, anyway. A rugged horse has no way to cool himself at all. He sweats, it makes his fur and the rug damp. This is really, really uncomfortable for him; he's hot and steamy and wet and itchy and miserable. He can't cool himself by sweating. He's also producing the ideal environment for skin conditions like rain rot, lice, and so on. Warm, dark, wet. So... letting him be a little chilly this time of year does no harm. Keeping the heavy rug on when he's over warm produces skin problems of all sorts.
