Unfortunately under a stain warranty coffee, tea and mustard are not covered but you could try. What has happened is that the yellow from the mustard has thoroughly died the carpet fiber from it's original color.. Any harsh cleaner will discolor the carpet so be careful...Try the cleaning line by Capture..they have it at Lowes or Home Depot in the flooring dept. It's really good. You are looking for handstitched and lots of detail, etc. The most important characteristic for me is durability and washability. Some you can put into the washer, others need special cleaners, some are spot clean only. The second characteristic important to me is texture. I like plush soft carpets that you can walk on with your bare feet. Of course, color choice and design are important. (floral? transitional? contemporary?) I like transitional. I'm a fan of Mohawk and Shaw area rugs. You can find them at Home Depot. Reasonable prices for machine made rugs.
