Q:is magnetic steel hygenic to produce stainless steel utensils?
Magnetic steel rusts. That's why kitchenware is often made out of stainless. You can't turn magnetic steel into stainless, sorry. Metalurgy is a complicated subject, and is all about different alloys. It's far too involved to explain in a few paragraphs here, but no, they're not interchangeable in this case unless you want to produce kitchenware that rusts.
Q:Major disadvantage of hardened steel?
The major disadvantage of hardened steel is that it is very brittle unless it is tempered. Hardened steel would be wear resistant, and would hold an edge as long as you don't cut anything harder than a boiled egg - the impact of the knife on a cutting board would shatter it.
Q:Which is stronger for cars, carbon fiber or steel?
At a reasonably high speed, both cars would be undrivable. That's by design, not due to the strength/weakness of the materials. The energy in an impact needs to go somewhere. Cars are designed so the body and the frame will bend and break, reducing the impact on the occupants. If the car is too rigid the chances of the occupants being injured increases. Carbon fiber composites do have a better strength to weight ratio than steel but they're also a lot less dense, so the same volume of material will have a similar strength. The primary benefit to carbon fiber is that for a part of the same strength the carbon fiber part will weigh less than the steel part.
Q:is 440 stainless steel good for throwing knives?
For throwing knives, 440 isn’t necessarily a bad choice. Does it list whether it is 440c or 440b? That matters somewhat. The advantages of 440 Stainless is that it’s relatively hard (for a stainless), it resists rust significantly, and it’s not so hard that it would shatter or break. On the down side 440 is notorious for not taking or holding an edge, but for a throwing knife, that’s probably not much of an issue. If you’re looking for something to train with, you’re fine here. It’s plenty of steel enough to stick in wood or other targets. Odds are it won't bend if you slam it into some wood. If it lands on concrete, eh, it's going to scratch and all that jazz, and it might hurt the tip if it hits first, but as has been said, you can use a file or grinder to get the tip back.

Superman (1978) is extra infantile. guy of steel is extra intense and cater to adults. guy of steel is plenty extra centred on the conflict between him and his Krypton enemies. there are in easy terms some scenes the place he saved human beings yet they don't seem to be the main important concentration of the action picture.

I carry a french knife that has been made the same way for 400 years , the manufacturer is called Opinel,...they fold up and are carbon steel and for what I do are very period correct for anything from 1700's through 1800's...any way they are very good and come in like 5 different sizes.... check and see if they have a web site....

Disadvantages of Stainless Steel: Stainless steel tends to scratch and dent. Food, grease and fingerprints show very clearly on stainless steel, making frequent wiping and cleaning a necessity. High initial cost Difficult to fabricate, or in other words, it is not as malleable as other metals, say iron, and hence if not fabricated properly, results in costly re-work. Difficult to weld High cost of polishing etc. i.e. adding finishing touches for the market. there are advantages more than disadvantages. But u asked for disadvantages that's why i have given only disadvantages of stainless steel Hope what u want u got.
Q:is stainless steel plated or alloyed/mixed?
stainless steel is an alloy normally iron with additions of C, Mn, Ni, Cr, and Nb - amounts added depend on properties required. Corrosion resistance is due to a very thin but dense layer of chromium oxide which forms at the surface and prevents further attack. Ordinary steel on the other hand becomes coated with a porous layer of iron oxide(rust) through which the atmosphere can pass and cause further corrosion.
Q:Steel reinforced armor.?
I don't think that would work. First off, there's not enough carbon in steel - even very high carbon steels are only about 2% carbon. Second, the iron atoms in steel form a crystal lattice, in the shape of a cube, with another iron atom in the middle of the cube. Each cube is about 0.3 nm per side. Carbon atoms work their way into the crystals and displace the iron atoms. But a carbon nanotube is around 1 nanometer in diameter - that's 3 times as big as the iron lattice! So a nanotube wouldn't fit. One thing you might do, however, is make a composite - mix the materials together on a scale a little bigger than the atomic scale that the iron and carbon mix to make steel. Just like a carbon fiber bicycle frame or ski pole is strands of carbon (much bigger and not as strong as nanotubes) held together with epoxy, you could hold nanotube strands together with metal. Not sure it would be good for armor, but if you can figure out a way to do it, I'm sure someone will come up with a use for it!
Q:what material could replace iron or steel?
Material selection is a complex area. Iron and steel are very good materials in terms of their strength, stiffness and hardness (especially when compared to their density to give specific strength/stiffness. They are also relatively cheap and the economics of material selection is often the over-riding criteria. Each individual substitution has to be considered on the merits of what the component has to do and the environment in which it operates and often to replace steel with, say, aluminium, might not be appropriate or might require a redesign of the component to accomodate the lower strength and stiffness. Take one of your examples of a dishwasher; To replace the (cheap and thin) steel outer casing with aluminium would require thicker sheet to achieve the same stiffness. To replace the stainless steel inner you would need a corrosion resistant material (which rules out aluminium) which can be easily fabricated to shape. Nickel alloys would be harder to process and very expensive, but you might be able to use a bronze alloy. If you have time look in the library for a book on materials selection by Ashby - one of the best texts on the subject.
