Product Description:

Cold rolled sheet steel products are used in a wide variety of end applications such as appliances, automobiles -  exposed as

well as unexposed parts, electric motors, plumbing fixtures, drum manufacturing, shelving, furniture, doors, toolboxes, tubing

products, unexposed construction products, as well as many other areas of manufacturing.

Because cold rolled steel sheet is prone to rusting, standard practice is to apply a rust-preventative oil at the exit end of the temper mill (the last processing step). Rust-preventative oils are different than forming lubricants in that they contain special corrosion-inhibiting additions. In addition to the oil, Curtis Steel maintains clean, dry environments in climate controlled warehouses at

all its facilities to ensure our coils and sheets arrive to you in prime condition.

Q:is batman in man of steel?
Batman himself is not in Man of Steel; he is in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel though, titled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice There are subtle references to Batman in Man of Steel though. When Superman and Zod are fighting and they fly up above the Earth, the satellite they fight next to has the Wayne Enterprises logo on it (Wayne Enterprises is the name of the company owned by Bruce Wayne AKA Batman). Also (and this one is very hard to spot) there is a part where Zod throws Superman into an office building, and just for a split second you can see a poster on the wall which says Keep Calm and Call Batman So no, Batman is not in Man of Steel, although he is in the sequel and he is referenced in Man of Steel.
Q:Is carbon steel strong?
If you can get it, and it is not in a museum or owned by a wealthy collector it is probably junk. a realsamuari ( warrior) sword probably took a year or more to make, 6 months or so to sharpen and was tempered by dipping in the blood of a peasant. It might have been marked by the number of human bodies it could cut through in one stroke ,1 was a minimum by all accounts they were the finest steel weapons ever made the curved thing in a knife shop is a cheap knock off
Q:Steel and Graphite shafts?
Actually it isnt so much whether its steel or graphite, although in the past steel was stiffer as a rule. Today many graphite shafts (depending on the shaft manufacturer) are in fact stiffer then some steel shafts. IE proforce XS vs true temper R You also have to look at the kick point in the shaft. The kick point is where the shaft bends at moment of impact. My shafts are tipped lower because I custom made them that way because I typically hit the ball low to begin with. High kick point means lower ball flight and lower means a higher flight. Also different brands have different stiffness' some regular shafts you'll find feel stiffer then other stiff shafts. the only way to tell if its the shaft is to have all the same shafts installed with the same kickpoint hope this helps
Q:What is the Shear Modulus of Steel and Silver?
There are more than 10,000 different steel alloys that have been specified and used for different purposes. They cover a huge range of mechanical properties. For silver, are you talking about pure silver, or a silver alloy with a additives to improve its mechanical properties? Typical values for mild steel at room temperature are E = 210 GPa, G = 80 GPa (source: 30 years working as a mech. engineer) Wikipedia gives E = 80GPa, G = 30GPa for pure silver (temperature not specified). Silver alloys may be very different from those values. The properties will also depend on the metal forming process (e.g. drawn wire, annealed, etc). NB some alloys with silver in their common name contain no silver at all.
Q:STAINLESS Steel....?
a. is the correct answer. It will still show tea and coffee stains. I find using baking soda is a good way to clean it and freshens the drains of the sinks as well. If cleaning your refrigerator a glass cleaning spray works well, just be sure to dry it thoroughly.
Q:What is so special about Japanese steel?
I doubt japanese steel has any special quality in its own, but they might just be higher quality shears. For example, Chinese qualities are good depending on what they are, but are usually not professional made with the greatest equipment. Same for Mexico. The company that makes them might just put more effort into making sturdier and sharper shears and thus make them more expensive, but Corona might make them a bit better so they are priced less than Corona's.
Q:what steel is best for a survival/utility knife?
Ok, lets define what is Damascus steel. The modern Damascus is basically any steel that shows a pattern. Patterns are accomplished by 1. manipulating the crystal structure or 2. by combining 2 or more different alloys together. The blade you are looking at is referred to as a pattern welded blade. Damascus is only as strong as it's base components + heat treat and design. The strongest will be obtained by combining high carbon and low carbon steels. I do this by using steel cable. The patterns aren't real bold but are interesting none the less. To break it you must brake the hard steel and tear through the soft iron. The laminated stuff works the same way. For greater edge holding I use all high carbon, varying alloy content from simple carbon to chromium/nickle alloys. These are what you normally find in pattern welded blades. A fine pattern that has many lamination's crossing the edge will offer the best edge holding. Properly done one can get the DCE or damascus cutting effect where the soft layers wear away faster than the hard layers almost making the blade self sharpening. Is that blade good? Buy it if you like it, it won't compare to a well made hand forged blade but is much cheaper. sorry for the overload.
Q:What is steel used for?
buildings bridges automobiles elevators railroads and railroad equipment appliances and many many more. Steel is used almost everywhere. reference: Iron and steel are used widely in the construction of roads, railways, infrastructure, and buildings. Most large modern structures, such as stadiums and skyscrapers, bridges, and airports, are supported by a steel skeleton. Even those with a concrete structure will employ steel for reinforcing. In addition to widespread use in major appliances and cars (Despite growth in usage of aluminium, it is still the main material for car bodies.), steel is used in a variety of other construction-related applications, such as bolts, nails, and screws.[66] Other common applications include shipbuilding, pipeline transport, mining, offshore construction, pipeline transport, aerospace, white goods (e.g. washing machines), heavy equipment (e.g. bulldozers), office furniture, steel wool, tools, and armour in the form of personal vests or vehicle armour (better known as rolled homogeneous armour in this role). .
Q:Is my shotgun able to shoot steel?
I do not know that gun. I have the over/unders. A little checking. Now checking the specs it does describe the barrel steel, and that it is threaded to standard Rem Choke size threads. So before you shoot steel if you do not know what choke you have go to any gunshop and ask them to just stick their choke gauge in the choke. On the choke itself it should say what choke it is. For steel shot you should use one choke size LARGER then the way you want the gun to pattern. ie. A modified choke will shoot a full choke pattern. An Improved cylinder choke a modified pattern and so on. DO NOT use a full choke. the full choke is too tight, and steel shot does NOT deform like lead does. The first indication of a problem would be a bulge in the barrel out near the muzzle end. Run your hand down and feel it. The barrel steel is fine though just use or get the correct choke tube, AND what I said is if you so not have anything BUT a full choke buy a Rem Choke the size you want. Even Walldog sells Rem Chokes.
Q:What is extruded steel?
Extruded steel is only the steel being run through a die when it is heated, it usually reduces the size of the grain of the steel itself, enhancing toughness. Realistically though, in a handgun, it doesn't matter if the frame is cast or forged, both types will hold up to any amount of abuse, unless you use it as a sledgehammer, and are splitting stones with it, then the forged frame would win. 4140 is more than adequate for a slide/frame. Hell, even mild steel would be adequate as long as you don't mind some dings and scratches, and again, don't use it as a sledgehammer...
